The Bahamian Rum Runners! May 18, 2012 - 5 Nights on the Magic!

This will be our 1st Disney cruise. We are taking our grandson with us as a special trip before he starts kindergarten in the fall. I have learned a lot from this forum. I am an over planner and already getting organized. We have cruised frequently on other cruise lines, but I am more excited about this one than any of the others. We would like to join the FE

Grandma (53)
Grandpa (53)
Landon (5)

That is awesome! Welcome to our cruise and we look forward to meeting you. Our DD is also five and starting kindergarten in the fall so maybe they will become friends. :)

Not sure if it is spring break fever or just all the stress lately but we are chomping at the bit for May to arrive. Getting very hard to be patient.

Who else is with us?

As a matter of fact, DH and I were doing the "I can't sleep" in bed planning the other night.:hyper:

The big question remains if DD 19 will be joining us. :confused3 Pixie dust!!!!!:wizard:

I can't wait to get away from these crazy people (work) and drink fruity drinks

I'm right there with you!!! Working for the school district doesn't make it any easier.. I guess I'm selfish because I've got this huge count down going on.. and now everybody seems to be excited to be getting off soon.. and I'm like YAY!! Everyone is finally excited!!! Then I realize they are just excited for spring break... LOL  I think since I'm even more excited than I was in months before, it's making the days seem longer :hourglass: (or maybe that was the time change....:lmao:) but it's driving me insane!! :yay::scared1: I've already got my suitcases out with some of the things packed that I know I won't need between now and then and I just want to go throw them in the car and leave! :drive:

Oh, lets see....

I check the DCL website and our reservations at least once a day....

I go over my packing list at least once a day....

I read up on SSR (post-cruise) at least once a day....

I review my Passporter book at least every other day....

I'm working on my FE gift ideas at least once a day....

I read the DISboards cruise forum several times a day....

Naw....I'm not excited....MUCH!!! :ccat:

The only thing keeping me halfway sane is that I'm going to Scotland on business next month, so I've got other things to keep me occupied until the cruise.

MagicFan75, our grandson is very outgoing and loves to play. His brother is only 1 1/2 and cousin is a newborn, so he currently doesn't have a lot of playmates. He would love a buddy.

I can now say we are about a third of the way done with our FE gifts! We purchased everything over the weekend (and a few extras for those joining late). Then this evening we started to get it all together.

I really hope it all comes together OK... don't expect greatness.. I am NOT crafty. but I am trying. Really I am. ;)

Not to worry - I'm not crafty either.

I am sure that they will be great! I am almost finished prepping stuff for our big semi annual consignment sale and then I can totally throw myself into cruise business :cool1:

I finally got the goods to make our fish extender gifts (had to change the plan a few times because of the delightfully large number of people we get to share with!) Magnet door designs are done so just a bit more and then 64 days....

I'm right there with you- the kids ask every day how much longer until we go on our boat (I love that that they call the ship that). My daughter is almost potty trained. SHe will be 3 a week before we leave so we are working super hard on that to avoid flounder's nursery (although I booked some just in case- I'd rather cancel than scramble) I have booked allt he excursions we want and I will be pulling out the suitcases to see what we need to possibly replace next week.

I can't wait!!!!

How's the swedish massage? Has anyone done it? I was considering it for myself, just have a hard time justifying the expense-

It is with deepest pride and greatest pleasure that we welcome you tonight. And now, we invite to relax, let us pull up a chair, as Prozac07 proudly presents... your FE list. :thumbsup2

Remember the deadline is APRIL 1!!! If you're in the darker blue or light green area, please let me know the missing info (i.e. room #, names) and if you did want to participate or not. And remember you can download the Word file of this from our 4Shared site (see first post). Thanks!!

Hi Everyone,

I can't believe this cruise is so close. We are SO excited to be cruising on the Magic again (after two HECTIC trips on the very-crowded Disney Dream).

We will not be participating in the FE, but I hope the rest of you have a blast!!!

I'm with you on that! Though I will admit to preferring their Captain's Mai-Tai.

Had one in January 2010 on the Magic. It was nice and I enjoyed it but nothing special. I get a massages about once a month and often on a cruise. I'm getting a massage (at home) just before the cruise so I don't plan to get another one on the ship.

Ironically, we were going through the edge of a storm so taking some high seas (lot of people skipped breakfast) and I fell asleep due to the massage and the rocking motion of the ship.

I can't wait either. I have read where some people make magnets for the doors. I did that last weekend. I have already gotten our pirate outfits ready and also read my Passporters book about a million times!!!! Also, I will not be doing the FE. It sounds like a ton of fun though!!

For some reason I just got a visual of the Swedish Chef all ready to give you a massage. :rotfl2:

The way my mind works sometimes....:sad2:

Awesome job once again on the FE list. :thumbsup2

I've had it. I would only do it now if we were on a double-dip to CC and I got to do it in a Cabana. Otherwise, I don't think its worth the $.

On the other hand, after walking for days at Disney, I make it a point to do the Fire and Ice Peticure on the ship. Its only 60, I get a good massage on my aching feet and my toes look pretty!
