The alarm is set. We leave bright and early Sat. morning. My DS has never gone to bed so well.
I CAN"T WAIT!! Its our first trip with our oldest over 40 inches.

Don't slow down or we'll pass you. Leaving at 4 am driving to Disney from So Alabama. Looking forward to 8 glorius days of fun. Im ready to be there now.

We still have one week and I'm so excited I can hardly stand it. Even a whole weekend of working hasn't managed to dampen my good mood. For those of you headed out now, drive safely and I hope you have wonderful trips!

As another south Alabama resident, I hope you have the best vacation ever!!! We are leaving in a week as well. Come back and post your trip report as I would like to know how the crowds were. Never gone in September and this year we are celebrating my daughter entering those illustrious teenage years! Hope your trip is sprinkled with pixie dust!!!pixiedust:pixiedust:

I leave tomorrow and I haven't even pulled out a suitcase yet. I just haven't had time. Too many other things to do. Maybe tonight I'll remember that I really should pack.

We leave in 48 hours and 4 mins. Bags are all packed just gotta charge pones, cameras and put the chargers in. Cant wait.

Can any of you S. Alabama residents tell me how long it takes to get to Disney from Mobile? My daughter has a dance competition there October 25th until around 6:00 pm or so and her birthday is October 26th and wants to go to MK. Mapquest says around 7 hours...is this accurate? I would like to be there at rope drop without being exhausted from no sleep.Any chance?

I show that it is 491 miles from Moblie to WDW. That may be a little optimistic. Might want to allow 8hrs.

I must confess... I leave Oct. 1 and I already have had a bag packed for 2 weeks of stuff I have purchased for the trip, disneystore cheap graphic tees, hand sanitizer, water fan things, etc... I know, I have issues!!!

Don't forget the time change too. Last time I drove(from about 30 miles northeast of Mobile), it took me 9 hrs including time change. I know this sounds crazy, but we fly! Driving down is not too bad but driving back after a commando week at the World was miserable!(Plus I was sad to leave.) A word of caution, for some reason they are ALWAYS working on the interstate around Pensacola. Sometimes traffic tie-ups there will add A LOT of time to your trip. Hope you have a wonderful time!!!

I'm going to move this to our happy dance board. I hope you have a great trip.

I leave this upcoming Friday night and all the bags are packed except to throw in toothbrushes and my makeup. My DD5's bag has been packed a month now I bet, she did it herself. I am most certainly doing the happy dance right now:banana::banana::banana:
