It was the book I read last year on our WDW holiday, for the reason that I didn't think I could take Catherine T seriously I didn't watch it. I thought I'd gage opinion on here lol.

Have you read Kate Longs next book Swallowing Grandma? its very funny and poignant, a bit like the first, I'd recommend it if you enjoyed the bad mothers handbook

I have to agree wiht strommie as i loved the book but tend to stay away from tv versions as they never live up to your own characters that you`ve created in your head!!

Liz, I agree, I always felt the same way about Bridget Jones - I always saw Bridget as being Julia Sawalha or even Kate Winslet (in her fatter days) and although I think Renee did well, she was never really Bridget

I agree Carol, Renee just wasn't how I had pictured Bridget at all. I still think they should have got a British actress to play her.

Was at work last night when programme was on , saw it but didn't really watch it if that makes sense!

Half way through the book & enjoying it. Never really enjoyed Bridget Jones neither book or films

I'm not what you would call a fan .

I've Sky+ TBMH and will watch it at the weekend. I've read the book, so the television programme will probably keep my attention if I can identify with the actors playing the roles.
