The Bachelor Tonight (possible spoilers)

Both DH and I thought he let the classiest girl go home last night -- but we were happy, since Mandy is entirely too good for Jesse. I also think both Jessica and Tara are too good for Jesse as well. Of the two, I prefer Tara, so I'm hoping he picks Jessica. :p

As for Trish, say what you will about the girl, but I think the fact that these girls publically roasted her for her past, while professing love for Jesse - who admittedly has a past, and I'm willing to bet it was just as sordid as Trish's past, if not a whole bunch worse - makes me a little sick. Oh, and also, I wish they had done the Girls Tell All episode AFTER last night's show with Trish stalking him -- I would have liked to hear more from both of them about that.

What can they do in that 'fantasy suite' thing? Are they allowed to go all the way for show purposes??

Mandy Jaye was definitely the classiest and more mature of the three women left. But, like others here, I'm thinking she's better off getting out while she can.

Not thrilled with either of the remaining "Bland Blondes" (good description, Robin). Jessica is WAY too young and needs time to grow up. Tara is just plain creepy to me. She has such a problem with talking about anything of substance, including her feelings. She kept saying "don't you know?" when all she had done was basically say "I feel the same." She could not bring herself to actually say any new words to him. That would work well in a relationship. My DH described her as a "cold fish" and said that he would have gotten rid of her after the episode with her father and the guns. Maybe they do deserve each other though.

But, the thing that REALLY scared me was I just bought that same Elie Tahari dress that Trish was wearing on the "Tell-All" show. That completely freaked DH and I out!

Dan, LOL! You don't actually see them "going all the way", its just implied. :)

Suzannen, my DH thinks Tara is a cold fish too. He was screaming about her from the beginning, what she is doing on the Bachelor when she doesn't want to kiss. LOL. I sort of feel sorry for Tara, having that father who has told her all her life that love isn't real. I hope she finds true love with someone, I highly doubt she'd find it with Jesse though.

So, no real hard core, eh? Well that is good, I thought for a moment TV programming was going downhill. Whew!!!! Implied going all the way is okay, I guess.

Didn't you catch last night's episode Dan?

Every show I like Jesse less and less. It irritates the heck out of me when I hear him in interviews refer to the woman he picked as "the missus". It sounds like a 60 year old man.

Anyway, last night showed that he is just as pathetic as Trish. They would have made a perfect couple. He listens patiently to Trish plead her case, accepts the room key, kisses her goodbye and leads her to believe that he MIGHT show up to her room. If he had the slightest bit of integrity he would have refused the key and sent her on her way. I bet you anything that if he weren't being filmed he would have found his way to Trish's room at some point. Especially if Mandy had refused to spend the night in the fantasy suite. Jesse is nowhere near being ready for a serious relationship, let alone marriage.

He also committed a huge sin as far as I'm concerned--he wore light brown shoes with a dark charcoal suit to the reunion show. Wear black shoes Jesse, BLACK!! ;)

What was up with Jean Marie last night? She seemed to have an awful lot of anger towards everyone. Sour grapes perhaps? I did think Karen showed an awful lot of class though. Suzy seemed a little bitter too. A lot of those girls seemed wacko. I thought they did psychological profiles before they chose these women. I guess they've figured out the loonier they are, the better the ratings.

When Trash gave Jesse the room key.... all I could do was laugh out loud at the thought of all the people he could give that to......

I agree that he should have declined to take the key and sent her on her way.

I agree that Jean Marie seemed very bitter (grumpy). I think a lot of the girls showed their age and immaturity on "the women tell all". I did not like Trish, but some of the girls were pretty mean to her (Suzie for one). After a while I actually felt sorry for Trish. I think that deep down she wants to be loved and have friends, but she goes about it in all the wrong ways.

So now we get to see if Jesse chooses Barbie #1 or Barbie #2. :teeth:

I am one of the ones who doesn't care for Tara so he'll pick her, I know it. But, personally this whole season is boring...He has absolutely NO sense of humor and he is boring. I am only watching it because nothing else is on. Hopefully the next show is better. Bring back Bob and all his kisses!

Trish - it's too bad she is the way she is because she really is an attractive girl.

Jean Marie - was that a set up or what? No one else reacted to Jenny like she did.

And, I agree with Jesse and his shoes...what was up with that

Dan - for someone who claims to not like these reality type of shows, you sure manage to show up on a lot of these threads. :p

(a secret interest, perhaps? :p )

Ugh! This season bachelor is terrible. He was "so excited" before each date. "I'm so excited for this date with xxxxx. I'm really hoping to get her true feelings out..." This guy is NOT a winner. He's really only hoping to get some. He was not into Mandy until Trish showed up and got him all hot and bothered. Then suddenly he wanted to share the suite with Mandy. This guy gets around more than Bob, in my opinion.

It was really cheesy when they showed Mandy and Jesse in the suite from the outside window and, wouldn't you know it!, Trish's window was right below theirs....and she just happened to be looking out the window mourning the loss of this bozo. Why do I watch?????:p

OT...hey snoopy! I love the photo in your signature, it is beautiful! Did you take it? If so, you should post it on a site where people can order them! I would LOVE to have one blown up for my living room! ::yes::

I totally agree that Jesse seems like a sleeze bag. Have you noticed that on every date he will just cut the girls off in mid-sentence and start kissing them. It's like ' I don't care if you are a person and you want to have a conversation because I want some.' And I totally agree with a previous poster that I think it's awful that he knew in his heart he didn't like Mandy but he still spent time in the suite (after he told Jessica he didn't feel it was fair to lead her on.) What did he think he was doing to Mandy? Do you think the producers told him he HAD to give her the card?? He just seems like he is NOT ready to get married and he is just trying to boost his career by getting more exposure.

I like Tara better too, MUCH BETTER, but I kind of hope he doesn't pick her because she deserves better. I would like to see her as the next Bachelorette.

Also, as much as I CANNOT STAND Trish, I felt a little bad for her too. Those girls can think what they want, but to blatently demean her like that on national TV, it was just really cruel. They could have done it tactfully which I felt Karen did very well.

DH had an interesting observation: are they setting up Trish for the next Bachelorette show?

And yes - what was up with Jesse's shoes? It was the first thing I noticed about him! YUK!

(CJMickeyMouse - don't think that typo went unnoticed! haha!)

Last week Trish was on The View... they ?'d her about being the NEXT Bachelorette.. she squirmed a bit and gave no answer... so Ya.. I think you hit the nail on the head Min... Trish is gonna be the Next Bachelorette..

Fashion Police!!! The Brown shoes with the charcoal suit! YIKES!!
Trish's dress from the Bachelor episode.. gorgeous.. but DANG I felt like I was Looking UP her dress with those obvious camera shots!!!

I can't figure out why Trish is so obsessed with her legs. On the very first episode, she talked about them getting him and did it again last night. All she ever mentions is how much of a "good time" she is (can you imagine saying that!?!) and how good her legs look. So shallow!

This season stunk. I wasn't impressed with Bob or Merdith either. Maybe if they could just get some real people it would be okay.

I also think it would make for a much more interesting show if they would let the Bachelor/Bachelorette plan the dates and know who it was for. Then they could get a better idea of how well they know each other. I think that would be a great twist.

First Suzanne that dress Trish had on was GORGEOUS!!!!!!! Thats the first thing I said when she walked out! I LOVE that dress!

I agree with the person who said Jessie's past is probably as torrid as Trish's. I also have to admit that I don't hate Trish. I respect the way she is honest to a fault. She tells the truth regardless. I can relate to her because I'm like that. I'm brutally honest and sometimes I shouldn't be I guess. Now the sleeping with 35 guys and a married man is AWFUL but I commend her for being who she is and ADMITTING it. She isn't all roses and flowers and FAKE!

Now with the last two I'm bored, I could care less who he picks although I hate to see Jessica give up law school and move for a relationship that probably won't work out.

Oh and Suzie and Jean Marie got on my very last nerve last night.

I am not too sure what Jesse was really thinking when Jessica told him she has already started toapply for NY Law Schools. I wonder if that is a good thing or is her being over-confident?

Darn, I missed all that Trish bashing last night. Had to go read a bed time story to the kids (I know, my priorities are all screwed up!) I was actually feeling sorry for her at the hotel, though (well, just a teensy bit---she's too full of herself and sharp edged to really feel sorry for her). That whole set up with her trying to "win back" Jesse was so embarrassing. Clearly she doesn't have a sense of self-worth or she never would have done it. Maybe that's what all that sleeping around she did in the past was about, too.
I agree, Jesse's not much of a catch. He's a bit of a sleaze (although nobody could beat Bob for copping feels) and has very little personality. He also says "awesome" and "amazing" so frequently it renders the words meaningless. I noticed his lack of a sense of humor, too. Early on one of the girls was talking to him about his college football team, the Gators, and she said, "So do the fans do this at the games?" and she snapped her hands open and closed like gator jaws. I thought it was cute, but Jesse just looked at her like, "You are such a moron!"
Actually both Tara and Jessica seem fine, to me. But I don't think there's enough chemistry with either of them and Jesse to last more than a long weekend. I sure as heck wouldn't want Tara's dad as an in-law, though!
