I didn't watch Brad's first season (I have no idea why but I skipped a few seasons there in the middle; maybe because this show is such a train wreck) but I watched the opener of this season.

I like the walk like a dude fang girl. I wouldn't want one of my adult sons dating her but she's fun to watch. I don't really have an opinion on any of the others yet; most don't start getting scary until they move into the house.

I just thought that it was more obvious with Brad that he was picking just to fill the numbers than the usual new bachelor shows. Probably because it's not new to him.....

Chris was the bachelor in Ali's season who lost his mother. He was supposed to be the next bachelor but THANKFULLY turned it down. He is WAY too nice and cool to be the Bachelor, I was afraid he'd become the jerk MOST of the pickers become.

The previews for the season show the dentist being a little psycho-ish. May be editing, as it often is.

I like vampire girl too, for entertainment value. I think she's going to be one of the ones you know doesn't stand a chance, but you hate to see go because the fun/freak factor goes with her.

Hmm. . . Maybe we will see a lot of mud baths that all the women must participate in together. The producers are hoping for a chick fight/mud wrestling segment. Chris Harrison will do a voiceover: "The most dramatic Bachelor episode ever!"

I'll DVR it but I'm not watching it live. 1. I hate commercials and 2. The first shows are full of contestants of no consequence. I get more interested when they get down to about 1/3 of the original contestants. 3. My husband will mock me if I get hooked on another Bachelor. 4. I skipped the whole Ali bachlorette show and I'm glad I did!!

My DH hates that I watch this show of "sluts." It is just a guilty pleasure of mine. I don't take it seriously, nor do I condone how they act. I just like to see what they will do next, and I love to see where they travel~

I don't understand why what Brad did was so "bad"?

I think it was way more honest than some of these people getting "engaged" just for good TV.

ITA - I think he showed courage to tell the truth. How can you possibly propose to someone after knowing them in a group setting for only 6 weeks. Maybe it's because he kept saying things that sounded like he was in love.

I do. I don't know why he needed therapy just to choose a wife, but I understand he is "broken" and had a hard time with commitment. I see "bartender flirt" coming out - he's hosting a party, so he's being a good host!

Soooo, he kept the waxer, the slapper and the vampire? Interesting choices. Hey, do you all think he could ask the dentist if vampire girl's fangs are real??

And again, why are these girls so crushed by not getting a rose when they don't even really know this guy anyway.

That's what I was thinking - kind of psycho to be so upset about someone you just met.

I bet the producers made him pick slap girl. She may add drama later on by slapping him again.

As another poster said, the slap sounded like it was enhanced, and I think she did it all tongue in cheek, and he kidded around with her on that one too.
I think he liked her spunk!

I set my DVR to record last night and it did not record.

You can watch it online as soon as the next morning. It goes by fast, because there are only a few commercials.

Pretty obvious what she's up to. But she does creepy well. I think she could get a job in a horror film for sure.

I'll have to watch online for tomorrow night's show - we're having a football party to watch the Oregon DUCKS beat the Auburn TIGERS!
