The Bachelor - Ben??? No spoilers

I didn't feel sorry for Olivia at all. I'm usually a pretty kind hearted person even when I dislike someone, but I couldn't stand her. It's so odd to me when they leave them out there like that. Like "Good luck getting back!"

The previews are driving me crazy!!! I'm so eager to see how it plays out! It probably won't be nearly as good as what they are trying to make it seem like!!

Ok, I admit I'm feeling a little sorry for Olivia. That was a pretty crappy goodbye.

it was harsh~much like when Kelsey Poe and Ashley I were left in the Badlands by a cowardly Chris. However, I felt more sorry for them freezing out there than Olivia being sent home. I agree with the girls saying his connection with Lauren B is super strong. Not sure what I think about Caila now....

But, it wouldn't look nearly as good for the camera if they got into a boat (car, helicopter, whatever) instead of standing their looking all sad and lonely.

And, his connection with Lauren B IS different than than the others...several of the women commented on that in last night's show. It will be interesting to see how that plays out.

lol~ I know they get picked up a.s.a.p., you could see the camera crew on the rocks when they panned out on Olivia. The show is so predictable that you know what's coming when they go to an isolated area adding to the "getting dumped /all alone" moments. Pretty sure Leah isn't thrilled with what little face time she had. We got to see her swim with pigs, say she likes to eat them , throw Lauren B under the bus and lie about it, and then throw a Hail Mary that Ben opted not to catch~ quality 15 minutes right there lol

Yep, there are many vans, boats, camera/equipment operators, producers, etc....

And, it was SO obvious to me that the entire 'connection to lauren' thing, with all of the other girls supposedly 'ignored' for some time, followed by the whole Leah coming up with a bold-faced lie, was ENTIRELY SCRIPTED.

LOVED the whole thing where they went back and forth between Olivia talking ONLY about herself and 'bragging on herself', and the other girl saying "I'll bet Olivia is over there right now, talking about herself and bragging on herself'...

Of course the producers were having Ben keep Olivia around for the drama factor, but that apparently became more than he was willing to take.
The whole thing where he, instantaneously, goes from "So wrapped up in her and doesn't even see her for what she is." to "Okay, you are going home, NOW" is very very telling!!!!

I don't think they scripted the part where Ben hung out with Lauren B for a good chunk of the group date. They may have let him do it, but now they're doing damage control. It's not a very suspenseful season when everyone, including the audience, knows who the final pick is.

Leah really, really did not come off well. And I can't imagine Olivia getting a better job now. How awful to go on a reality show and make yourself a social pariah. Happens all the time, though, some even get book deals out of it!

I actually paused it just before he sent Olivia home.
I said... "Ben's a... uhh... Starts with a D, almost rhymes with whoosh"
He picks up the rose and asks Olivia to go for a walk.
1. He's either giving the rose to Olivia, leaving Emily to sit there feeling like crap, all alone. or;
2. He's not giving Olivia the rose... but is bringing it along just to torment her with it and make her think she's getting it.

Either way, what a jerk move.

not really...Ben inquired about her always being happy and smiling, and was that just a way of dealing with life, she said yes, and that (and this is what we saw of an edited version) she is "complicated" and said stuff like she feels like she loves Ben but isn't sure if she can love him or something of that nature. She is afraid she will hurt him,just isn't sure if her head is allowing her to fall in love yadda yadda ~but then said yes, she is good to go on falling in love with him...it was like trying to grab a seashell in the waves, all over the place. Ben said he thought it was the best date ever . Others will have a better recap, but that's what I got out of it. Run, Ben, Run. (Although his layers are peeling off as well, not sure what I think of him at this stage)

lol...DS said she deserved every bit of that s***storm~ she creeped him out big time. I will say, she looked SO MUCH PRETTIER without all that eye goop on...actually looked 23 not 32.

Ben seems really needy and unsure of himself. I really noticed that about him after the pig swim when none of the girls seemed very happy.

She didn't reveal specifics, but yes, she made it obvious that the happy exterior is a shell, a coping strategy.
Kind of obvious that she is 'complicated', that she doesn't know if she can love Ben (or anyone???).
Like there is a bit of a screw in the works in there somewhere.

Even at times during that heavy conversation, she tried to have that 'Caila Smile' on her face.

Ben seemed impressed that she was able to open up and try to be honest, and to connect.
So, she did get the rose.

I have always just loved Caila!
But, as in with most people, she is much deeper than we would have imagined.

I'm with pkondz. Of course it's scripted. I'm sure it wasn't his idea to pick up the rose but he went along with it and in doing so he looked like a big jerk. Olivia was not my favorite and she did some pretty jerky things herself and rubbed the other girls the wrong way but there is no reason for her to be humiliated by Ben like that on national television. It's really a negative reflection on him that he agreed to do that to her.

I am sure he could have said no, but we don't know how much pressure was put on him to do as he was told. He seems like a nice guy who doesn't want to make waves.

heading back to correct myself...after I thought about it, Ben said he was confused talking with Caila, and she said "I'm a confusing person"...at least she knows herself, lol. She is in software sales? I hope she is easier to communicate with in her career.

I see your point and agree for the most part, other than Olivia did some pretty self humiliating things on national t.v. all to herself. At least what was shown. After all these seasons ANYONE who signs the contract agreeing to go on, has to know they are going to be depicted as anything but who they really are.
