The Bachelor - An Officer and a Gentlemen

OK- so I have a question for all you gals out there!

IF you were on the Bachelor.... and you felt compelled to sing a song to him....

What would you sing???

Please... don't forget to take into consideration what the guys occupation is-it will help make that everlasting impression you're looking for!

In The Navy by The Village People :confused3

all I gotta say is.... HOT>> HOT>>> DANG HOT!!!!

Saw him on the View the other day.. he says he met the love of his life on the show. He seems like a decent fella.

My favorite.. Tessa... the social worker from San Francisco. She seemed normal.:hippie:

Ok, I can't remember who she is, but a social worker, so I am rutting for her! I hope she got a rose. (still kind of like dress flip girl, loved the dress and that was impressive!)

Darn, now I have to actually watch the show. I hate it when I end up watching one of these reality shows and get sucked in. I did it with cupid (remember that one) and I think the 2nd Joe millionaire. Both times I was mad at myself for doing it! T.V. dating is just do wrong!

Yeah.... but he was probably wiping his eyes because they were tearing from holding in the belly laugh he couldn't let escape! BWWWWWAAAAAAHHHHHAAAAAAAHHHHAAAAAAAA!!!!!

It really was unfortunate she sang that song. Wonder what she thinks about that decision now?

:lmao: that could be it too

what song would I sing? I'll get back to you on that.

Anyone know if it's being rerun? A friend of mine told me it is the best trainwreck yet.
 I'd also like to know the answer to jrmasm's question. Doe anyone know?

Was it just me or did you think singing the National Anthem was a little weird. She sang great, but I was embarrassed for her! I'm as patriotic as the next gal, but to serranade (sp?) that song to someone....weird!

Ok, here's my question - if he is so patriotic....why wasn't he standing when she sang the National Anthem??? :confused3

I was surprised that he kept Girl-In-The-Short-Dress......I told DH...
"look it's the floosy of the season"!

And I am surprised that Lindsey did not stay because usually each season's "Miss Drama" is kept long enough to :stir:

Which to me, suggests taht there is maybe someone worse then Lindsay!

Hmmmmmmmmmmm..... who could it be?!?!?

HEY!!! She could do the worm!!!!! Why else would he keep her! :rotfl2:

KareBare1,
Is she the one that did the worm?? When there are 25 women I get most of them confused!! Unless they are like the big eyed girl, the drunk who fell off the stool.......ya know, they have to make an impression!! :rotfl:

Was anyone else a bit uncomfortable that with all the "I love America" stuff going on, there was one Asian woman, one woman who appeared to be African-American, and 23 white women?

On that note, have they ever had a non-white Bachelor?

YEP!! The girl with the short dress on was the one that did the worm! I remember becasue I couldn't believe that baby wasn't riding up to her waist by the time she was done!! :scared1:

So she was a stripper???? They did allude to in the preveiws that someone was a little "stalkerish".......could it be her?????

He is cute and very fit!!! He seemed he was a lot shorter than I thought. (I like short guys....DH is only 5'8) It was too funny when Lindsey started saying how short he was and how he had a big head and weird teeth!!! She really made herself look good on National tv!!!!:scared1:

No, she wasn't a stripper, that was just our nickname for her, being the mean girls that we were! She was actually a normal college student, this was six or seven years ago. Of course, I was compelled not to like her back then just because she was the shameless hussy that stole Heath (DH's friend) from my friend Andrea. Then when she got the **** job and the tattoo, it just sealed her fate as far as we were concerned! You know how catty college girls can be, especially over a boy! Looking back, it seems so petty.

I sent DH's friend an email today laughing at him, saying, "You must really be a crappy boyfriend, if you drive women to reality TV to find true love!" He responded and said he'd gotten TONS of emails today, mostly making fun of him, saying the same thing. Of course, his wife Sarah would disagree, and she's MUCH prettier than Stephanie, but then I'm biased. :)

I'll post a side-by-side comparison of The Bachelor, and The Boy She Left Behind. (He will KILL me if he finds out! HAHAHA!)

My teenage daughter and I watched Monday nights episode on Tivo yesterday and my daughter made an interesting comment. She said this is like the "Flavor of Love" but with pretty girls!

The girls on The Bachelor never used to act so trashy and catty, at least I don't remember the earlier episode girls acting that way. The outcasts of this years bunch did seem pretty but classless. Actually when I think about it, they weren't as pretty as previous seasons either.

Perhaps the genre has lost its appear, I will probably watch the entire season, I just won't care who wins!

No, all the bachelors have been caucasians. It's an outright disgrace too. :sad2: Does ABC think men and women of other races aren't interested in finding "true love" on the show? Or that we wouldn't be interested in watching the inevitable train wreck that always follows on this show? In the first 25 there are always 3 or 4 women who are not caucasian, most of whom rarely make it past the first cut, let alone to individual dates. The only one I can recall is Mary who was dumped by Bob and then brought back to take the final rose from Byron. I love the show but it really does seem kind of racist to me the way it's been cast.

You can watch (or re-watch) the episode on abc.com.

It looks like it is going to be a fun ride!!! ;)
