Tony ( Tony64) 41 Driver and runner to Fast Pass Machines
Theresa ( Latte Lover) 39(again) Chief organiser and banker
Maddie 16 Firmly believes everything dad says is stupid
Callum 15 would prefer to be playing in his band(but loves cat in the hat)
Thursday 18th August
Up early today and we were at the Magic Kingdom for just after 9.00
We took a group photo for an American family standing in front of the flower bed in the shape of Mickeys head and they returned the favour ( this is another tradition and we have a picture taken in the same spot every 2 years which really shows how the children have grown over the last 8 years). This year however, the outline of Mickeys face had been newly planted and the flowers hadnt fully opened yet which spoilt it a bit.
There was also scaffolding up at the left side of the train station but Callum edited it out for the print which we will have on the wall in line with all the others.

(See how quickly they grow Callum is now about 6ft.Tall !)
We went down Main Street and had our photos taken again and received another credit card style Photopass.
We made good use of the fast passes again (more running around like a headless chicken for me then).
We would get passes for the most popular rides, Space Mountain, Winnie the Pooh, Splash Mountain, BTMR and ride the others that were near them while we waited for our time slot. We had done all the above and Stitch, Buzz, Carousel of Progress, Tomorrowland Trans Auth, Peter Pan, Snow White and Philharmagic by 2.00 this was partly because of the Fast Passes and partly because the park was quiet today.
We had lunch at Pinocchios house which was different from last time as they no longer serve burgers.
The kids had chicken strips and Theresa and I had the kids meal which was really very good, Turkey and cheese roll ups, Mickey shaped cheesy biscuits, mandarin segments and a drink served in a Mickey shaped bowl for $3.99.
Dont buy an adult meal if you are only looking for a snack, this was very nice and made a change from having fries.
We were very lucky, when we did BTMR and Splash Mountain we were nearly the last to ride on both as they closed the rides due to nearby thunder storms.
We then had my favourite thing in the whole of the Magic Kingdom.
Dooooooole Whip floats, YUMTASTIC
Theresa and I love the pineapple ones but the kids both went for chocolate.
If you have not had one of these you dont know what you are missing, they are so refreshing on a hot summers day (my mouth is watering just thinking about it now)
Dooooooooooole Whip mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
As it was so hot again we decided to watch the parade and then head back to the hotel.
I camcorded the whole parade and Maddie & Theresa took loads of photos so they would have plenty of photos to put in their scrapbooks.
We picked up Maddies Buzz Lightyear ride photo and left at 3.45. It was just so hot again (but that wont stop us going back again next year)
We went back to the hotel and spent a couple of hours in the pool before going back to our favourite restaurant The Longhorn.
The kids and I all had various steaks and Theresa had the chicken with Tomato Salsa.
We also had a starter for a change, called a Tonion which was deep fried sweet onion strips which was served in a bowl on a sheet of Longhorn branded paper.
I asked the server if we could have a clean sheet as the women would like to use it in their scrapbooks and she bought us half a dozen. (Bless her, worth another big tip me thinks).
This was a hollow leg day as we also managed to share some desserts.
The Chocolate Stampede for the boys and Cookie Dough Cheesecake for the girls.
We couldnt finish it but it was worth a try.
We stopped at Orange World on the way back to the hotel to get a few prezzies for the relatives, and Publix for drinks and films as Maddie has got through nearly 3 films today!
It cost about £80 to develop all our films when we got home.
We got back to the hotel at 9.00 DW wrote up the Happy Book and I watched some baseball before we all turned in for some much needed sleep.
