Wednesday 17th August
Up early today as we were off to Animal kingdom and we were at the gate by 9.00
We had our photos taken and were issued with a card so we could view and buy them on our way out of the park or get them on line when we got home.
We went straight to the Safari and grabbed some fast passes and went round the Pangani forest trail before our fast pass time rolled around.
We got lots of photos on the trail and the safari (you would have thought those poachers would have learned their lesson by now, they are never going to get away with little red no matter how many times they keep trying).
We did Kali River Rapids and didnt get too wet, just enough to cool us down for a change. Normally Theresa is the one that sits in the seat that get soaked.
We went to the childrens favourite eatery Restaurantosauras where Theresa & I shared a bacon double cheese burger (I got the bacon and she got the cheese).
After lunch we went on Primeval Whirl which was a lot whizzier than we remembered. I had the camcorder running all the way round so it will be interesting to see how it came out when we get time to watch it.
Next up it was Dinosaur which we love followed by A Bugs Life which we love even more.
We bought ice-creams (another very necessary pattern of this holiday) and headed for Tarzan Rocks.
The theatre had fans all around but what was the point of blowing in really hot air, I think it was making it hotter not cooler. Note from Theresa Im surprised nobody passed out in the heat, this really was the hottest I have ever been! And I like the heat normally.
The show was great and we love the music and skating (Oh and I think Jane is really HOT, no not because of the fans)
We were baking so it was back to the hotel where Callum and I headed for the pool leaving the ladies to write up the Happy Book and watch a programme about dog behaviour ( we miss Harley)
You have probably guessed by now as Ive not mentioned food for at least 2 paragraphs that it must have been dinner time next well I wouldnt want to disappoint you so it was off to The Golden Corral where we stuffed ourselves yet again.
I had lots but Theresa surpassed herself. She had Pot Roast and mash followed by Steak and mash followed by 6, yes 6, puddings. I dont know where she puts it!
We were all feeling like the Pilsbury dough boy and Callum suggests they should sell a T-Shirt with I ate til I was sick at the Golden Corral
After this feast we went to Joanns (A new craft shop on the 192) Theresa and Maddie spent a couple of hours in here so Callum and I had a look around Target which was next door to pass the time.
They spent $100 between them. They and had armfuls of stuff again (Thank god for the double baggage allowance) I wondered if we would need to buy an extra case.
Theresa got a Scrapbook to put our wedding photos in, weve only been married 20 years, well our twentieth anniversary was 07-09-2005 just after we got back from this holiday.
Its about time we blew the dust off of them.
Back to the hotel and into a very comfortable bed.
