The Posse
Tony ( Tony64) 41 Driver and runner to Fast Pass Machines
Theresa ( Latte Lover) 39(again) Chief organiser and banker
Maddie 16 Firmly believes everything dad says is stupid
Callum 15 would prefer to be playing in his band(but loves cat in the hat)
Wednesday 24th August
MGM today and we were at the gate by 9.00. Theresa and the kids went straight in and got fast passes for Rockin Roller Coaster while I queued for the bag check which was absolutely heaving this morning.
I met up with them under the sorcerers hat and we did The Great Movie Ride before our fast pass time was open.
We also did The Backlot Tour, Muppets, Star Tours and Sounds Dangerous.
Next up was Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, which Callum and I were doing for the first time, I really enjoyed this and it will be on my to do list for the next trip.
When we came out of Millionaire the weather had changed from being boiling hot and sunny to a tropical storm and we got soaked as we had left all of our wet weather gear in the car. Typical, most days we would put the stuff in the rucksack but the day we didnt bother was the only day it rained really hard.
Maddie saw it at a good photo opportunity and ran out in the rain with Callum and the waterproof camera to get a picture of her hanging onto the Singing in The Rain Umbrella. We sheltered for some time, along with hundreds of other people at the café next to Honey I Shrunk the Kids Movie Set then made a dash for the exit.
We then went to Michaels (MORE scrapbooking stuff) Theresa was looking for a pack for her sister that she had seen earlier in the holiday but hadnt thought to buy for her at the time.
They managed to spend another $35 and more importantly fill another corner of one of the cases.
While they were in Micheal's I poped next door to the book shop for another mocha and spotted they had some jelly beans in a Harry Potter style that included flavours like Vomit, soap , boogers as well as popcorn, strawberry, chocolate etc.
I bought a couple of packets and they went down a storm with my nephews but my BIL and SIL didn't appeciate it when they were given a sweet by their oh so generous off spring
We ate at The Longhorn again as it was our last big meal of the holiday ( I dont want to go home tomorrow!!! )
Steaks all round and we were too full for pudding.
We went back to the Hotel and watched Jurassic Park III while unpacking (we needed to find dry clothes and shoes) and then re-packing (It did all fit in and I didnt have to run to Wal-Mart for a shoe horn).
I couldnt believe we were going home tomorrow!
