The Attic's food and beverage minimums for events ending before 5:00 pm are $2,000 SundayThursday and $2,500 Friday and Saturday. Events ending after 5:00 pm have a minimum of $2,500. This is through DFTW. I asked Disney's Convention Services dept. about using the venue and was told the minimum was $3,500.
Historically, DFTW has not been very forthcoming about private reception options for Escape couples, but lately there have been reports of brides who've been able to arrange a private reception at venues generally only used for Wishes receptions, so you might ask your Wedding Coordinator about the options.
I had an escape wedding Dec 5th and booked the private room at V&A. My planner gave me suggestions to restaurantas wiht a private room and that was about it. You need to call directly to get th einformation, book etc. It was kind of treated as 2 seperate events with the Escape.
As an Escape bride I was offered the Attic for a reception with a $2500 min. Because of that and the fact that the reception would have to end by 5pm (I'm not sure if there was another event or this is standard for Escape brides), we elected to buy out Spoodles instead.
Hum....interesting. When I inquired for our Escape wedding, I was told it was only for Wishes brides. Perhaps it isn't getting enough use and they have lightened up on that policy. I really wanted ours there....oh, well, maybe a VR in a few years !
