****The April 2015 thread**** come check in and chat!

We will be there April 30-May 4th! Wahoooo!!! (That counts, right?) lol Staying at the Stanford Inn (not in stone). We stayed there 4 years ago when it was the Comfort Inn but it looks like it had an update? Opinions welcome.

Sure that still counts! Sorry I can't comment on the Stanford Inn maybe someone else can give you some input?

My family will be taking our first ever trip to Disneyland April 27th-May 2. Our trip will be grantparents, parents and 2 toddlers girls (2 & 3) and we will be staying at desert inn & suites. Cant wait to see the excitement in my girls eyes!

We're also going in April, I can't wait! We'll be there April 27th-May 3rd and staying at the Grand Californian :cool1: This will be our second trip to Disneyland, we went last May and fell in love with the parks. My countdown has already started, wish it was already April!!

Oh I'm jealous! I would love to stay at the GC! But with 5 of us going it would completely blow the budget! This is our 2nd trip to Disneyland also!

We were able to rent DVC points off the board, it made it much more affordable!! I had a back up plan of paradise pier or desert inn and suites but was so excited when it all worked out, it's a beautiful hotel!

Just curious how you found your DVC points to rent. I looked on a couple of websites that do that and it's still kinda pricey at like $14 per point? Feel free to private message me with any info. Thanks!!

We are going 19th - 26 April, cant wait! it will be our kids first time at Disneyland.

Welcome! We will be there at the same time! How exciting for your kiddos! It's so cool seeing them experiencing it all for the first time!

DL is particularly slow at posting special events - they probably won't have anything official up for another month or so. If I remember from last year (we went right after Easter), they had turned the Big Thunder Ranch area into a "spring jamboree" and had meetings with the Easter Bunny and other Disney rabbit characters (Brer Rabbit, Rabbit from Winnie the Pooh, Roger Rabbit). They also apparently did an Easter egg hunt in California adventure where you paid for a map and then got a special prize for completing it.

Thank you so much for the information you shared. We are sooooo looking forward to our first visit to DLR!

John --

I saw your post in the other thread about the Easter trip, and posted a lot of good info for you, about the Egg-stravaganza in both parks and the Springtime Roundup (and about Easter treats!) -- HERE.

Of course, since no dates for Easter-ish events have been released yet (and probably won't be released until March), I am not sure if the egg hunts will end on Easter -- which is April 5th this year. Last year the dates for the egg hunt were from 4/10-4/20 because Easter was on 4/20. I would have to imagine that the egg hunts would begin earlier this year and end after 4/5, but we can't be sure until they announce the dates.

Sherry,
Thank you very much for the information you shared in both posts. WOW! I sure do hope they have some of the Easter treats you described in your post! The fudge eggs and yummy cupcakes sound awesome! My two boys are smiling as I read your post to them about it. Thanks again!

Our first ever trip to Disney from the 6th April - 21st. We are travelling from the UK with our 2 boys, 5 and 7, but I'm the excited one! We are also going to the Star Wars convention in between,

Welcome Vikiic!! First ever trip...wow! How exciting for you all! You are going to love it, love it, love it! Cheers!

We just booked a split stay at PP and DLH last night, and I'm sooooo excited! We had originally booked a family suite at the HoJo but I'm horrible at changing my mind :). We struggled with which disney hotel to book all day yesterday since we haven't ever stayed on site at DLR before and finally my DH says, ok book 2 nights at PP and 2 at the DLH...woo hoo! I know we are sacrificing space not being at the HoJo but who cares!

How exciting you get to try out 2 hotels!! I've only seen pictures of the rooms at DLH and they look adorable. Have a great trip!!
