I'm hoping Trump hires both Randall & Rebecca. Both are good leaders. I'm satisfied with the final 2.
Yep, me too! :goodvibes

I thought it was crummy the way she took the other team's megaphones on the previous task.
Excuse me, that was BRILLANT! That is how competition works. That is how you get a leg up on another company who may be pursuing the same interests.

I didn't realize Randall was a millionaire. Maybe THAT'S the twist. Randall wins, but then announces that he has thought about it and is not interested in the position. Maybe even something along the lines of..."I wanted to prove to myself I could do it" And it's certainly 15 minutes of fame, which most of us would want. In that scenerio..Rebecca wins by default.

I believe Randall owns his own consulting firm. I can't imagine him turning down the job offer after everything he's gone through to get to the final 2, but it certainly would make for good TV. :teeth:

I'm glad it's Rebecca and Randall in the final 2. I never liked Felisha and Alla is just way too arrogant.

It would be cool to see Trump hire both of them.

Someone asked about what happened to Kendra. I believe that she is working on a project of his in Florida which would be why you don't ever see her in New York.

Did anyone else hear that next season is going to take place in California? I can't imagine Carolyn living in CA for that long with 2 small children at home. I wonder if there will be different executives with Trump to help judge.

How long is the taping of the series? We get the impression this goes on for months, but it probably only took 2 or 3 weeks to tape. Just guessing. And maybe Randall realized at some point he no longer wanted to work for Trump, but he was far enough into the competition that he wanted to win. And maybe he never expected to win when he started, so he really didn't have to commit himself until now.Long shot, I know, but it's logical. As someone said, why would he work for Trump if he has his own business and a millionaire?

I don't think this is it because isn't the finale usually live?

This is easily the best final two since season 1. I think Randal is probably the most qualified to get the position, but Rebecca is better in the boardroom. It could be either one.

Alla's specialty was *before* the boardroom. She would coach Adam and Felisha to say what she wanted them to say, and they'd fall right in line with her. Then in the boardroom she'd just have to prompt them periodically, and let them do all the talking.

Last night she had to make her own case, and she was abrasive and rude, and it cost her. Compare that to how Rebecca handled the Toral situation, her toughest spot in the boardroom. She looked sad, lowered her eyes, and said how disappointed she was by Toral. It was perfect, and Rebecca got away scot free.

I will say that I think Alla got hosed a little. Felecia made her the director, but still wanted to be in control because she was the project leader. It was a pretty impossible situation, and if Alla would have been smoother she could have made a good case for herself. Although their presentation was so crummy it might not have mattered.

I notice they never did bring up Alla's background.

I need to watch last nights episode once more, but is it me, or did Alla lie in the boardroom about the presentation with all the words and things flying in? I swear it was Alla's idea because they showed the two of them in the editing room and Alla said something like, "I got it!" like she had a revelation, but when Trump, Carolyn, and Bill started criticizing it and asking whose idea it was, she pointed at Felicia!

I kind of lost respect for Alla last night, even though I thought she was a strong candidate. She really got too cocky too, so I thought she had it coming when she thought she was still in the game after Felicia got fired! I kind of wonder if Trump only at that moment decided to fire her because she just stood up like she knew she was going on to the finals!

I also thought that had been Alla's idea. Anyone have it taped or remember better?

Trump was on Imus yesterday morning and when Imus asked him how he was going to stay out in LA for that length of time, Trump said the tapings last 5 weeks. Unfortunately, he then also revealed he was firing two people. I was keeping my fingers crossed that Randall and Rebecca won the task since I knew he was going to fire the two losers. Wish I hadn't known beforehand. I would be happy which ever of these two finalists win and would also love to see him hire both of them.

I wondered the same thing - if he decided to fire them both and was just not finished yet, or if he really was just going to fire only Felisha but then became so annoyed with the arrogant smirk on Alla when she pushed away from the table that he just decided - what the heck, you're fired too. LOL.

I wondered as well. Knowing Trump, the latter is true -- he did it off the cuff when he saw her get up before he said they could leave. I thought it took balls for her to give that smirk and then stand up. I loved it when he told her to sit down -- but even then I didn't think he'd fire her. :rotfl: :rotfl:

Lie may be too strong. She claimed it was aMUTUAL decision, and they both worked on it. This is factually true, but it was mainly her idea to add all that text. So she wasn't claiming it was Felisha's idea, she claimed it was mutual.

I wonder if 2 people were going to be fired regardless of how the task went. I mean, if they only have X number of episodes they need to get it down to 2 for the final episode right?

In the past, they've narrowed down the final 3 or 4 through interviews with CEO's of various companies and then (I think in the same episode) the final two was chosen and given their final task.

I guess they're skipping the interview process this year and moving right into the final task?

Yes..which tells me it may have been a foregone conclusion that 2 would be fired, since there is no "interview" show.

I thought the same thing. The interview segment was exactly the same every season, and wasn't great TV, so I think they had decided to do away with it. If the show had 4 high-powered corporate poobahs ready to do interviews, then they would have done intervies and Alla would still be around.

But I think Alla earned her firing any way.

Very interesting tonight.

They actually got to pick their own employees. So in the end--the demise or success...would really be their choosing.

They produced this episode to indicate Randall is in big trouble. Either that's a smoke screen, or Randall is on the edge of disaster. He's portrayed as not being a leader, unorganized..and the rain is coming!!! Last year they showed a similar spin o nthe woman who lost, so maybe Randall really is in deep trouble?

I don't know--but with a baseball game....can you really plan a weather contigency? I don't recall--how do they determine the success of these final events again?

So it seems like every year, there is one of the "employees" on each team who really messes it up for the person they are working for. Who do you think it will be this year on each team?
