The antibiotics aren't working....

I'm so sorry for your loss.

I am so sorry about your precious fur baby. I know how painful this loss is. Please know that we are here for you. :grouphug:

I'm sorry for your loss. I pray your pain will turn only to fond memories soon.

Sorry kag....just so you know how lucky you were to own a dog that was worthy of your love, and know that not ALL dogs are good dogs... today I had to abruptly move my wifes chihuahua by way of my foot (I did NOT say I kicked the hell out of him) because that 15 pound mosquito looking satan dog ate a whole pound of bacon this morning!!! MY BACON!!!! My wife came upstairs to wake me up and tell me that breakfast was waiting for me on the table (this is a very rare occasion at my house!!!) So Im all happy and headin' down the stairs to my fresh bacon'n'eggs breakfast that my loving wife slaved over a hot stove becuase obviously she must have done something wrong and feeling guilty for....and as I enter the dining room....THERE HE IS....half of the last piece hanging out of his mouth and the look of "Oh Sh....oot, the ol'man caught me" in his eyes!!! I had to chase him around the table a couple of times, but I finally caught up to him and "abruptly moved him with my foot"(again, I DIDNT say I kicked the hell out of him). Unfortunately, these little devil dogs are VERY fast, so the true meaning of my abruptly moving foot may have lost some of its, um...impact. But I think the little darling got the message!!

So cherish the memory of your loving Lab....I hope the pain of his loss is soon replaced with the warmth of his spirit, and be glad he wasnt a freakin' Chihuahua breakfast thief!!!

Who eats a POUND of bacon at one sitting? Call 911 BDR just had a heart attack.

LOL....it was INTENDED for me, my wife and youngest daughter!!! But apparently, a pound of bacon is just the right amount for a 15 pound dog!! (to be honest...I really doubt that he even weighs 15 pounds, probably more like 8-10lbs...but if he keeps eating like that, it wont be long before I can catch him alot sooner!!)

I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your lab. These critters weave their way into your hearts so deeply that it is gut wrenching when they say their last good-bye. Hold precious all the love, devotion, and happiness that he brought to your family - and the wonderful hunting companion he was to your DH. Those kind of dogs are special, and I'm sure there has to be a special place in heaven for them.

Rog -alas- "devil dawg chihuahua's" live long, long lives. AND if YOU care to live a long, long life, show respect to the mutt or Gina will cut off your nether parts! :lmao:

BDR, I KNEW IT! My youngest DD has been begging for one of those demons for years and I've always said "no" because tiny little yappy dogs that run really fast, have giant eyeballs, and steal bacon are big fat NO NOs in this house.

I hate to break this to you my friend but.....I think your chihuahua has been hangin' out with raccoons and picking up their thieving habits.

I must admit..........I do enjoy watching Pablo and Ramsey ~grin~

I just read the thread, pets are very special :lovestruc And it's never silly to pray for them! My little girl is like my daughter since I am no where close to having kids.

Cindy- how's the pup now? I hope things are getting better :goodvibes

Kag- sorry to hear about your pup :sad1: just think, now all the beggin' strips in the world can be consumed up there :thumbsup2

I too have a yappy dog who likes to steal my favorite food items! My dog is a FAT, LAZY, 4 year old maltese. When I say fat I mean 8 pounds :rotfl: because all she does is lay on the couch or the bed and moans if you move her to get off the couch so she should be weighing 6-7 pounds and when dogs are that small a pound makes a big difference. The other day I went to Moes and got the Moo Moo Mr. Cow which comes with a cookie, and I was saving the cookie for later. I went to walk my boyfriend out and as before I got to my door I said "SHOOOOOOT I forgot the cookie" sure enough I open the door and there is the wrapper laying on the ground... that little fat brat. TO make matters worse, I am dieting so the cookie was going to be an extra special treat, I took her eating the cookie as a sign from God that I didn't need it :rotfl2:

Rog, I think your chihauhau has been taking lessons from that pesky squirrel! :lmao:

I think Matt would go bizerk if either of my precious pups tried to steal his bacon- or any other form of food!

Kag- I am so sorry for your loss- HUGS!

I hope Brownie is doing better! Its heartbreaking when one of our furry family members is sick. I was laughing about the cookies- my two are instantly at my feet the minute I take out my mixer- and since I run a small bakery business out of the house- that is quite often- though when I am making orders- they are shooed out of the kitchen. My Basset did manage to get an entire sheet cake last year- I didnt realize the lil bugger could jump up on the bench to reach the table- he was covered in green and white icing (it was a football field cake) and tracked it all over the house while I tried to catch him!:rotfl2: Lucky for him, Matt was asleep and was unaware of what was going on...

I couldnt beleive the life span difference of smaller breeds and larger breeds- growing up I had a Peek-a-Poo who lived to be almost 18! When we got Huggs (Newfie) the breeder said the avg lifespan is only about 10 years! But better to have them around for whatever time God decieds to give us with them- as much as a devil as they are, I love them as much as my actual kids!

Rog, I think your chihauhau has been taking lessons from that pesky squirrel! :lmao:

Its a conspiracy, I tell ya!!!

One of my favorite Jack Handey quotes:

"I hope if dogs ever take over the world, and they chose a king, they don't just go by size, because I bet there are some Chihuahuas with some good ideas. "

Another good one:

"Better not take a dog on the space shuttle, because if he sticks his head out when you're coming home his face might burn up."

You should have kept the pig, the dog could have gotten his bacon on the hoof and done you a favor. :lmao:
