I never did write a trip report last year, but, figured anyone going to WDW in a month would enjoy reading this....to give you a little background, this was the kids first trip to wdw.....my husband & I were there in 1977 when they were just building Epcot....so we don't even count that as a trip....I spent 8 months reading these boards & planning each day to the fullest....we only would be there 4 full days (no way enough time), so I knew I had to be smart....
We booked the package thru AAA.....for our first real trip, we felt the experts should handle this for us.....it ended up being a good idea....we got round trip tickets from Buffalo to Charlotte to Orlando for $180.....Length of Stay passes.....a flex feature per person......a pin per person.....dinner at Planet Hollywood.....the whole thing cost us $2300 for the 4 of us.....oh, & we stayed at ASMusic which we were very happy with.....
We had an 8:20 am flight out of Buffalo on USAir.....the flights were lovely, although our 5 year old was not too fond of flying....no problem with ears, maybe because we used those earplanes people on the boards talked about.....but Lindsay didn't like the fact that she couldn't see anything (except the back of the seat in front of her).....on the Charlotte to Orlando part of the flight, I put her on the aisle & she was much better because she could see what was going on.....we loved the Charlotte Airport, too.....nicest airport I was ever in, I think....
We arrived in Orlando & immediately saw our Tiffany Town Car driver with the sign saying "Andrews"....we were quite impressed.....our driver (a woman I cannot remember her name) got our luggage & we had the car right outside the door....we went to a Publix to get some beverages & snacks for the room & checked into the ASMusic at 3:00 pm....check in went quite quickly....I had requested Calypso & was given Jazz.....I really wanted that close building & had confirmed it a couple of times in those 8 months.....after a little bit of checking, we got Calypso on the first floor......we were actually here!!!! Kevin & Lindsay immediately went into the gift shop where Kevin bought Lindsay a special Ariel bank.....on his own????.....I think we are in heaven!!!
