Anyone watching? :happytv:

I just watched the premiere last night (a day or so late) and it's early, but so far, it seemed interesting. I kind of liked the 'scramble' format of the episode, where every team could do the three tasks in whatever order. Although (thanks to editing), it was a little hard to figure out who was going faster than others.

Another interesting twist in the no non-elimination legs. I like that as well - in past seasons, it seemed like you could easily guess which ones were coming and last season, I felt like there was way too many of them (granted, they restarted with a lot less teams, so they probably needed them to tape enough episodes).

No real favorite teams yet, it's way too early for that. :)

I never watched this show previous seasons but during covid I binged it and really like it- don't have a favorite yet but one observation- what the heck is up with the old guys bright white teeth? They look like a set of way to white dentures!

I am watching! I really liked Derek on Big Brother and The Challenge he is a favorite but so far like most of the other teams. I am glad for the no NEL. The scramble is interesting I like for some of the realty shows I watch for certain things to change every now and then.

I think the scramble was an excellent change up for the game. It made it more interesting instead of just watching everyone arrive one after another to the same challenge.

I always root for the father daughter teams so I’m rooting for the Jamaican father and daughter. Although so far I like all the teams.

I liked the scramble challenges too. So far I’m rooting for the twins who were separated at birth and just recently found each other, at age 36.

I like them too, but I am concerned as they didn't seem to be featured in any of the "coming this season" clips at the end of the show. not a spoiler, just an observation

I'm another one who liked the scramble and the end of the non-elimination round (I wish Survivor takes note and eliminate those stupid idols). I also hope the motivational speakers are gone soon. I don't think the twin girls will go very far and I'm not sure how far T-Rex will go either. I think Rex of T-Rex (NFL coach) will slow the team down. He did say that he lost 50 lbs. before going on the show so good for him. The NFL cheerleaders bugged me quite a bit (they look like they might play dirty). My favorites are Abby & Will (childhood sweethearts), Marcus & Michael (brothers), Luis & Michelle (not sure if they're married) and T-Rex (golfing buddies). My pick to win would be Abby & Will.

I’m very glad to see the end of the NEL. It seemed that it too often kept a weak team. No one bothered me too much so far. I like Derek and Clare but only because I know them from BB so we’ll see.

I really enjoyed the scramble. I feel that it made the episode more interesting. Rooting for Derek and Claire really liked them on big brother, I hope they go far.

Just watched the first episode. Like everyone else I really liked the new format and no more NEL. Don’t strongly dislike any teams yet, I like Glenda and Lumumba and the father daughter Jamaican team. Don’t think T Rex or the motivational speakers will last long. Seem to be a lot of dancers, will be interesting if there is a dance challenge this season.

I feel like Rex' body might give out on him during the Race.

While the NEL is no more, I wouldn't be surprised if there are "keep on racing" legs where you meet Phil at the mat but it's not specifically called a Pit Stop.

We liked the scramble and it was neat to see it in action. Sawing would be tiring so starting with that could be the wrong move, the ice breaking the easiest, and the barrel relay showing more of a chance style as the barrel sometimes went across the finish line at just the right moment even when the player hadn't quite gotten right there (at least that's how the judge viewed it when saying if a team had passed or not).

You could see which teams were better at directions. I was really surprised that the Army/Air Force boys were so directionally challenged especially since one of them had gone before to the starting point. I wouldn't expect a pro when you haven't really explored the place but it's like he was constantly lost in the car and at the end trying to get to the mat. When the NFL/golf buddies were with them at the end I kept saying no you don't want to team up with them they'll take you the wrong way. There's usually at least one team every season that really has issues with getting their bearings on directions.

The firefighter and back up dancer made me wonder if I saw her when Pitbull came to town last year and we went to his concert (which he puts on a good show IMO).

Did anyone sorta tear up when hearing about the twins and their story? Gosh how sad to be separated like that, never told about each other. It did feel rather odd to have both be adopted by Jewish couples..mere coincidence I'm sure just found that detail interesting.

Any speculations as to why they started internationally? Just want to do something different? Or if there was a reason.

The non-elimination thing made me wonder if they were shortening the season or if the episodes will be roughly the same as before and something else in its place of non-elimination like where an episode is To Be Continued or something like that to stretch it out or more than one double legs, etc.

Yeah after he got out of NFL coaching he started doing TV analyst work, and got those ridiculous veneers. Lots of people on TV have them, but they usually look a little more natural, and not like tiny beacons you would use to signal ships at sea lol. My wife had no idea who he was and she immediately said the same thing as you: "Whoa, what is up with that dude's teeth?"
