The Amazing Race 6...Official Thread

I'm late to joining this thread, but I love Amazing Race too. I agree with those who side with Rebecca over Adam. I'll never get the picture of him in the scuba gear out of my head. At least, he finally went underwater though. Frankly, I'll be disappointed if anyone other than Kris and Jon win. The others (except maybe Rebecca and Aaron) are insufferable.

JMHO.

Kris and Jon MUST win. Anyone else and I will quit watching!!! :rolleyes1 maybe...

I hope the teams haven't kept track of the roadblocks, Hayden (witch) can't jump off a cliff or some sort of impossible high feat, Aaron does it and they are penalized. That would be exciting! Hayden is really wearing down. At the beginning of the race, she wore l - o - w cut tank tops every chance possible. Even in the snow covered mountains when Lori was wearing a coat. She doesn't seem to bother anymore.

I don't mind Freddy and Kendra, but would be a shame for them to win and not Kris and Jon.

Rebecca and Adam, I really don't even consider contenders. It will be a shock if they pull it off.

:teeth: I hope the last roadblock is sky diving, or a zip line from a tall building, or that one they did in Australia where they had to repel down a building *face first*! Hayden would DIE!! :rotfl2:

They haven't done bungee jumping off tall bridges in a while! Or how about strapping her to a windmill like they did I think in AR5!!

I guess I'm in the minority here because I want Aaron and Hayden to win!!!

Aaron is a "local boy", graduated from here and then moved out to LA and met Hayden. Aaron's Dad is one of my DH's bosses. Several weeks ago Aaron's Dad told my DH that he "didn't think" Aaron and Hayden actually win, but that they get "pretty close" so my guess is that they come in second place. And he made it sound like Aaron proposes to Hayden on the show, so that would be neat to see too!!

Can't wait for the final episode next week!!

This weeks show was pretty good. I am sad that the final episode is this next week but at least the next season will be here in just a few weeks.

I LOVE Kris and John and I really hope they win. Unfortunately the team I am usually rooting for doesn't win so maybe I should root for Freddy and Kendra? ;)

At least Kendra is conserving her strength for the end of the race. She has Freddy carry her backback all the time! **gack**

Another Michigander here! It would be fun to see a *local* win......BUT......Hayden has ruined the trill of rooting for the local guy. I would hate to see Aaron propose to Hayden ~ I think he deserves much more than her. JMHO......

I think Freddy has carried her pack most of the race.

With my luck, I just KNEW Jonathon and Victoria were going to win. So, now, I feel like maybe Kris and Jon have a chance!

Hope so.

I think it would be GREAT if Jon proposed to Kris when they leave the race!!! After they win the race I mean LOL...

I wonder how aware they are of the road blocks that each of them has done. If Jimbo is right (and I'm sure he is), it was really a stupid move on Aaron and Hayden's part that he has done 6 with two more to do. As in previous episodes, the road blocks become physically harder or scarier when they get closer to the end. I wonder if this will come back to bite them you know where ;)

I remember the Bowling Moms were eliminated by a particularly hard road block that the men on the other teams did. Wasn't that in the final episode? I really like the new rules. It guarantees that both members of a winning team do the same number of road blocks. Does anyone have a count for how many roadblocks the women in the two-gender teams did last season?

I think on the team that won (what were their names?), she only did 1, but I'm not sure.....Jimbo?

Chip and Kim and I think they are the reason the 6/6 rule was brought in!!

Well, deadheadbelle, I wasn't keeping official stats until this season. But I do remember DW and I talking about how the women on each of the last three teams (Colin/Christie, Chip/Kim and Brandon/Nicole) only did a single Roadblock each. I remember Christie and Nicole eating the 2+ pounds of caviar in Russia (bleccch!). I don't know which one Kim did. Maybe the one where they had to dig up a scarab in Egypt?

By the middle of the race, Kim wasn't even considering taking a Roadblock. I remember her saying something like "it doesn't matter what it is, you're doing it."

And it's a good rule, too, isn't it? I hated how people like Kim (and Flo before her) could win a million dollars just by following their partners around the world, more or less. I hate the Yield, but making them divvy up Roadlocks is a very good thing. It's supposed to be a team effort, after all.

Yes, I remember that too. I think it was even a task that required climbing and Chip was afraid of heights (I think I'm remembering correctly). That statement really turned me off of them.

In the next AR I'd like to see one team made up of 2 complete strangers and see how they do.

Just remember, before Kim agreed to do the race with Chip, he promised her he'd do all the roadblocks. Chip was the one who wanted to compete.

I actually dreamed this recently. My friend Susan and I were getting ready to race, and the producers sent half of each of half of the teams home and then mixed up the rest of the teams. I was going to be racing with a complete stranger. Then they decided each person would be racing alone. I told Phil I felt bad about going on without Susan, but I thought that's what she would want me to do!

Seriously, Susan and I would love to do the race. I just need to lose a few (OK more than a few) more pounds first! :goodvibes
