so checked out Port orleans Riverside & had lunch..was going to go for a walk but the heavens opened and drowned everyone....so we had cake instead

followed by a little look in the store

and here is a squirel...no, not my DH...although sometimes it seems he is like a squirel.....

the only problem I can see is that there is NO SHADE and OMG people, hotter than haddes......

walking thru the cars section was like walking on hot coals

Thanks for the torment i mean picture Karen this would be the roundabout i slipped on and still have fluid on my knee from

AOA does look gorgeous and Disney has clearly spent a lot of money on it but i dont understand why they didnt spend more money on the rooms just a little bit thicker walls would be lovely i am not going to say we would never stay there again(only because we said we wouldnt go back to WDW and look how long that lasted) but it would be very low on our list the kids loved the pools and the pizza.

One of our traditions is that our first TS meal is garden grill (really sad we have a tradition...do we go THAT often??)

anyway, to the garden grill we went......

Now this restaurant is a continues platter of fish, steak and turkey, mashed potatoes, vegis...salad, yummy bread then cobbler for dessert

we find it a great value meal, really hard to get into though, so book early as they are only open 5-9pm (I think)

which went so smoothly, they called ahead from the gate, and there was a chick at the front door with our documents, anniversary badges and room key all ready at 11.30 am......shocker

you may be wondering why I am doing what I am doing...my DH says I'm like the cleaning fishy crabby thingy from Finding nemo....as I always have to tidy and unpack as soon as we get any where......so also note the view from my balcony..

I really am truely in awe of you Even with five of us, we did not have that much luggage coming back! I presume you got all your Christmas shopping done over there?

as never ever ever having done EMH in the morning, we happened to get up early and toddle off to Hollywood studios......OMG people, what a difference....no lines, no drama, no heat.....

we could park the SUV (nope, that doesnt sound funny at all)..ok we parked the garden shed in the FIRST ROW & didnt need the shuttle..

could get some great empty shots

and DH had time to smell (literally) the flowers....yep, hes a squirrel.

Rode star tours THREE TIMES IN A ROW....not good after a cinibun for breaky, but thats another story

so as you can see, I am now a convert.....ok, so you told me so, I mocked you all...now I will say something that is only said once every 10 years..."you were right".....

so, having never been to LTT, thought we'd give it a go

The wait was crazy, as were the people waiting with us. Seriously, if i am sitting on a bench for 2, and there is me and DH on it, no amount of tutting, sighing or shoving your butt in my face will make you fit as well.....

but, back to the food, just don't get me started with personal space issues....

and of course the token piggy shot

overall a good meal, just really noisy and rushed...and tables really close togeather so you can hear every argument.. word for word....as DH and I now say "Walt Disney World...destroying relationships since 1971"...

Ok, so it was night, it was dark and the photos arn't that good, but you get the idea

so the soak area, very cool.....but take a towel and non slip shoes for the kids..also sun screen if during the day, no shelter , also not a lot of seats...bathrooms are new and smell nice

as usual, the themeing was great.....
