Hey all,

Found us....Thanks Kat for starting us fresh!!!

Well it is April vacation, so Ross and I are all off schedule, lol. Today we went to the movies, then we went to shop for new summer clothes for him, and off to the book store and Kmart as he has money sent to him from me neice(for no reason other then she loves him) burning a hole in his wallet......thing is he doesn't like to spend either....she sent him 40 and spent 20, lol.
Tomorrow we are taking my gram out to lunch. She has been wanting to go all winter, but it was just to cold and icy out, so this should be a lot of fun for all of us!!

My dad bought his ticket to come here today, he texted me ( so funny to get a text from my 71 yo dad,lol) while I was in the movie to call him asap, so I went out in the hall and called him, he was so happy to tell me.
He will be coming here May 25th and staying with me until June 23rd. Then he will be back from the end of Aug until the end of Oct.
I can't wait for my dad to get here, just a month to wait....this will be the first time seeing him since Mom passed....I can't wait to hug him and take care of him. Ross is so excited as well!!

Supper tonight was chili mac, with southwest style corn! Ross cooked,

Welcome! Do you cook in the clay roaster often? I used to use mine but somehow it got pushed to the back of the cabinet.

First - thanks to Tigerkat for starting this thread - and - thanks to Lauren for helping people find it!
It doesn't matter where we call home - as long as we are all together!

Most importantly - here's to hoping everything works itself out for Lindsay.
She's had the hardest time with these threads and I know I TOTALLY appreciate everything she does! She puts a lot of hard work into our WFD!

Last night I made chicken parmesan and homemade garlic bread. It turned out really good - DH enjoyed it.
I think most of the rest of the week is going to be pot luck. I want to empty out the fridge before we leave for vacation. (by friday we may be having to order out! )

So - survey - am I weird - I've never cared for coffee! I do Coke - diet coke that is... Hey - caffeine is caffeine - right!

Hello all! Oh that new thread smell!

Dinner last night was a simple stir fry of chicken strips, mushrooms, onions, garlic and peas with a teryaki sauce over rice noodles.

I had to eat quick too, the Dr. had called to tell me I could get blood work done before my appointment on Friday, follow up from my physical 2 months ago, and I realized today would be the only day I could go. They want you to not eat for 12 hours before hand and I had to go on the way to work at 8:30. I didn't get the message until 7:30 last night as I was making dinner. Why in the world she called me at home when I told them to call me at work I just don't know.

Howdy ya'll! Did ya miss me?!? I tell ya, ya'll gotta quit moving around so much (no offense Lindsay- I love you!). Or are you just hoping I'll show up at the old place and not be able to find you? My grandparents threatened that when I was a kid....

Well, with one thing then another we haven't gotten internet hooked back up at home, but thankfully (thankfully?!?) my cell phone is dying a pitious death and the new one is web enabled- I can DIS on the go!

Travelling with Rick alot (read ALOT!)- anyone have some budget friendly microwave meal ideas? We're back on Alli and trying to stay out of the fast food realm. We are usually mini fridge and microwave enabled.

Lauren we're headed through your way over the weekend! I'll wave!

On a sad note- we lost our best friend over Easter. Tony was a great guy. Rick's still taking it hard- if you could- could you say a little prayer for him, or a special thought? I'd appreciate it- he doesn't easily make friends(ask anyone who's met him!) so this has really affected him.

Last night was whole wheat tortillas wrapped around grilled chicken strips(Tyson did that, not me) with sour cream, salsa, cheese, and my favorite fat- Avocado!

Obviously we're on the road- Holiday Inn Express at Kent State! (Ohio)

Tonight is chef salads and cottage cheese. And a leftover wrap.
