Thanks for posting the great photos of the giraffe -- it really makes me want to go NOW!!!:)

After trying for weeks, I finally got a Savannah view with the 4/3 deal  I have never paid attention as to which views to request. DD and I both love zebras, so I wanted to confirm with you guys that I would request Arusha Savannah, zebra trail, correct? Are there any bad views to watch out for at check in, or rooms I should jump at (or floors?).

Congrats! We were there in June and it was amazing! I also requested Arusha Savannah, zebra trail, but didn't get it b/c we were in a DVC room. But it turned out to be even better b/c we were on Sunset Savannah and that was where baby Kidani was! You can see him on the bottom of my signature. I was so excited because I had seen a picture of him on Allearsnet and really looked forward to seeing him in person. And I got to see him everyday from our room! So, no matter which Savannah view you get I'm sure it will be great!

Thank you! That has been the general consensus that all Savannah views are good. I just could have sworn that I read a post last year that there was one Savannah that there were not as many animals, mostly birds...maybe it was just a transition time because of all the construction?

Can anyone tell me how long it takes to get from MCO to AKL via Magical Express? Are there many stops? We're arriving at night and need to get to the hotel somewhat quickly.

And can someone tell me how long it takes by towncar?

We've always rented a car before (but never stayed at AKL) but I'm trying to economize on this trip. If ME takes too long, though, we might just take it back to the airport instead of both ways.

Thanks in advance!

ME also stopped at POP. Not sure how long towncar would take, but would probably be quicker.

lissiesmum, the only place I can think of that would be like that was actually on Arusha Savannah on the opposite side of zebra trail, there is a pool with pelicans. I have read TR's where people got a room there and only saw the birds, where those rooms are your view would be blocked by the rocks of the main viewing area. I know they were planning to move the animals on sunset savannah to finish the Kidani construction, but if that's the case when you go, I don't think you would get one of those rooms anyway since you have a savannah view.

The CM's are really nice though and will do their best to accomodate you.

Our ME bus two weeks ago when we stayed stopped at both Pop Century and Saratoga Springs. I would say it took 40-45 minutes total to get to AKL from the time we left MCO. We arrived at 9:40pm, so we also sat on the bus until it was full since there were not that many people arriving. Hope this helps.

Thanks, that helps alot. I guess 45 mins isn't all that bad, really. :)
