Still not working, Karen.

I'm a Webshots subscriber...what name are your pics under?

Just back from Pop as of today. I thought it was ok. Not my favorites but the bus service was impecable, on the way Mk my party of seven were the only on the bus we rode. Also you can see Spaceship earth and Illuminations from the top of one of the 50's buildings. Definitly a big plus for me :)

We stayed in 50's buidlings too - what room number were you?

View was great - did yous ee Illumnations (top of it anyway)?

Then my dh could get the refill mug and get his coffee on the way to the bus each morning. (then it would be a GREAT value! LOL)

Yes, the bus stop is right by the main building so it would be easy to get a refill on each leg of the trip to and from wherever. We just hated to carry our cups with us, so we didn't. It's a small enough resort that, unless you are in the horrid 80/90s, you would be able to make a quick trip to the main building to get refills and then head back to your room. We did that quite often.

LOL...I did not like the 80/90's either!! Give me the 50's with sweet Lady and Tramp!

Honestly, the '80/90's wouldn't be bad except for the fact of that long stinking walk. We ended up there our first night, and I think I could have ruined our vacation over it. Anyone who says that it isn't a long walk is a little looney :) It is definitely further than the other areas. The theming of that area was fine. It was the WALK!

The theme and the walk is what I'd hate. Can't help it, I prefer the 50's, nice and close and a theme I can tolerate ;)

I just came back from the GF - first visit there and it was incredible! Not 'snobby" at all. What struck me most was how relaxed I felt and how far away from it all -which is why I wanted a MK resort this time. Was there just 3 nights, but it felt like a week. Thank you, Disney, for email codes!

Do people enjoy the 50's or 70's building better? The 50's looks like a slightly longer walk to the busses but better themeing, and the 70's looks to be in the middle of everything. We wont have a car, just using the busses.

Which pool is better for a 5yo and 2yo? Where is the kiddie pool located?

The first 2 50's buildings are very close to the main building , food court area etc - it's an easy walk through that area to get to the buses - unless you're at the other end of the resort and can walk through the parking lot. The other nice thing about the 50's buildings is that they are not considered "preferred" but are just as close as some of the perferred buildings at the far end.

These buildings are not as close to the kiddie pool and I am not sure about the pool right in front of the 50's - I'm sure someone with young children will post a helpful reply :) There were young children in that pool when I walked by.

You're going to have a great time!

We stayed in the '70s. There isn't a pool, but the walk to the 60s pool wasn't too far. There is a fountain in the '70s area though to play in. I think both sections (50 and 70) had a fairly similar walk to the main building. I wouldn't let the walk be the deciding factor on that one. I have no idea where the kiddie pool is, but if it's in the '80s or '90s avoid it :) Did I mention I didn't like that area?

Are far as theming I didn't think it really mattered. You have the choice of a computer, flower, or bowling pin (or something bowling related) When you are in the pool you really can't tell what shape the pool is.

Isn't the 70's "pop jet" area the "kiddie" pool? I think the only other ones are the Computer, the Bowling Pin, and the Feature Hippie Dippie Pool.

We were there 2 weeks ago, and if I remember correctly, there was some sort of fountain type/kiddie pool near the Hippie Dippy pool in addition to the Goofy pop jets (which are in the 70's section.) Where's Tyler? He would know for sure :)

Aren't there flower that shoot water at the Hippie Dippy pool? I remember those, but I thought that they shot out over the pool, and you really couldn't play in them unless you are in a suit in the pool.

There were those, but then we saw what looked like a spa area behind the pool and to the left. We walked over to see because I knew Pop didn't have a spa, and it looked like a little zero entry kiddie pool. Maybe I dreamt it? ;) It's possible :)

Well, I may be loony  but, I was in the 80s building and still had a wonderful time at Pop. Of course, I am an 80s child, so that helped (tho I loved the themes at each area). I feel like the distance wasn't that big a deal for us, tho I can definately see how different circumstances could make it more annoying. There were only two of us, no children to worry about, and we never made an extra trips back and forth to the room. Usually it was just from the room to the food court or buses in the morning and then back to the room at night. Usually in the morning we'd take a shortcut through the parking lot or behind the 70's building to make the walk quicker, and strolled slowly through the "long way" at night when we were tired (it's so pretty at night!) I cant wait to go back, I'd definately take the 80s rooms no one else wants ;)

DH and I have been placed in the 80's A building twice now. We stayed in a non-handicapped king room on the 4th floor and a handicapped king room on the first floor. I was glad that we got the king bed room, but keep hoping for 50's because Lady and the Tramp is one of my favorites (had an old 45 with the Siamese cats' song when I was little--and that was a looooong time ago). We've learned the best route to the main building, but it isn't as close as the others. I do find I like Pop Century--and I've always been a moderate snob due to hot tubs before.
