OK, these questions have been talked about on another thread, and I thought to post it here in the hopes that the expert Chip 'n Dale Express would respond..........

There is some question about the sensor in the A/C at Pop and how it can be set to a cooler default temp. so that when people are asleep the room does not get too warm (since the "sensor" thinks no one is in there then). Also, many are complaining that the Pop has little if any insulation since recent guests can hear every conversation in the rooms around them as well as toilets flushing, showers going, etc. Is this true about the insulation?

Thanks in advance Chip 'n Dale Express.

I read the same thread and found this to be very discouraging. We (group of 8) are leaving in less than 2 weeks and I would feel so responsible since I did all of the planning.
Okay Tyler....give us future Pop guests some hope!!!!:teeth:

We've been @ POP twice since February & we never heard any noise from the next room & the temp. in the room was fine. Enjoy your trip..POP is awesome! Cathie::yes::

I don't think the walls at POP are any thinner than at the other resorts. We stayed at POR over Memorial Day,and i could hear the ppl next door arguing about wether the daughter would be wearing her capri pants or shorts. I think it makes a difference if your room has the adjoining door. You can definately hear things while standing near the adjoining room door. Our a/c was fine,,my brothers was freezing. YOu'll have a great time!

I think most of the problem is the main pool is closer to the preferred rooms at PC than AS -

So the noise seems louder (and probably is to those involved)

just don't get a preferred view - the 50's where I stayed were great the only noise we heard was the toilets - and the pools was very busy and when you open the door - very, very noisey....

there is a quiet pool at the 50's. that is the one I am talking about.

We stayed there in April. We didn't hear the peopl to either side of us. As for the A/C, it wasn't a problem. The room was comfortable and I usually sleep with a fan on.

In 8 nights (3rd floor 50's B) we never heard anyone in the rooms next to use. What we did hear was people outside our room with suitcases on wheels or a luggage cart, but that was only one time in 8 nights. I didn't notice any toliet flushing sounds.

The A/C was great and we were cold and had to turn it up (in June). I wondered if someone prior to us had the A?C reset to a lower temp or what because it would have let us set it all the way down to 68. The room was always cool at night and when we came back to it at the end of the day. We split this stay with a stay at AKL and we heard more noise from other rooms (or balcony areas) there than at PC.

68 is the normal lowest setting.

Is express check out available @ Pop? We will only be there for one night, 2 rooms, paid in advance. Is this an option for us to be on our way as soon as the buses start rolling to MK? We will have had luggage svc. hold & transport the bulk of our luggage.

We (DH, DDs x 4, MIL, FIL, & myself) will be checking in @ GF on Sunday am. We will have an ECV waiting on us there for MIL, so we would like for her to have access to that as soon as we possibly can.

Thanks!

As long as you have a credit card on file, you can have Express Checkout, and bypass coming down to the desk on your date of departure.

Hey Tyler!!! :wave2:

Is there a phone number at WDW that I can call to request a copy of each of the park maps and a transportation map mailed out to me?

Online and book maps are too small.

At least Epcot.

Thanks!!!!!

I am going in Dec 04 with dh, ds 10yo, dd 8yr and want to know what people think is the best "section" to stay in. I want to try and request that "section". I want to be up higher than 1-2 floor so I dont hear the ground traffic. I know I have seen it somewhere in the million other pages that I have gone through, but when and how should I call/fax this request to PC?

Cant wait to be there:sunny: :Pinkbounc

Try the Passporter guidebook. The maps in there are in colour and better than the other ones I've seen. Good luck. :)
