Two CMs in the food court did the Twist with my son one morning when we were there in March! And I thought it was something spontaneous! LOL!

Too fun. Gotta love that Disney magic!

Check out my countdown! I'll be at Pop Century tomorrow!

Maybe I'll get to meet the infamous Tyler!

Now if I could only get this last day of work to hurry along.

I talked my DH into leaving a day early, driving 3/4 the way, that way we can arrive at Pop Century around 10 AM. All we want to do is hang out by the pool on Memorial Day............will that be okay, checking in that early?

I know that our room won't be ready..........that is okay. We just want the pool!!

Thanks...........these last days are dragging!!!!

Hope

You check in
store your luggage with Tyler
Go enjoy the resort

Your room won't be ready till after 3 or so (most likely)

Beast,

I'm jealous. Check out my countdown...Thanksgiving is soooooo far away.

Have a great time!:thewave:

There's always the possibility that your room might be available when you check in prior to 3pm... but depending on occupancy, it's never guaranteed until after 3pm.

Luggage Assistance can hold onto your luggage, and then have it automatically delivered to your room within an hour of it becoming available (typically, much less). While Luggage Assistance is holding onto your luggage, you still can access it if needed.

Once you've checked in, regardless of if your room is ready, you may enjoy the pools. There are changing rooms, showers, and rest rooms by each pool.

First......my parents will be traveling with us. We are hoping to have adjoining rooms. Do rooms with King beds adjoin to rooms with two doubles?

Second......We are driving down. We will need a grocery stop before we get to the hotel. Is there a Publix/Target/Wal-Mart somewhere around.

Thanks!!!

:jumping1:

I started packing this morning!!!!

Kissimee WalMart is just down the road from WDW. Just look it up online. The only time I went there I used mapquest directions. WHen we were there it looked like it was set up for the WDW vacationer :)

Weather in mid-July is going to be HOT and humid.

1 - All King Beds connect with doubles.

2 - There is a Publix just down Osceola Parkway, about a mile or two from Pop. It's just down the street from the Gaylord Palms.

Thanx for the info on the weather, it was just someone on another holiday board said that it tends to rain every day. Not for very long but that it can be annoying.

Thanks!

Tyler - I have a weird question for you - (sorta a funny question) I have read a few people groan about how the walls are thin at Pop and how they can hear conversations and toilets flushing etc etc. What will happen if I come back to my room at 3am with the other boys staying in my room and we get into a conversation - will we get in trouble? or just punched in the face the next morning by the big guy staying in the room next to us? We are going there to party all week - and we do tend to get a little louder than normal when partying.

Thanks!
Sinny

Hi All,

I'm just back home from my 13 night stay at POP.
It was the second time onsite for me at WDW and the first time at a value resort. I can tell you that I had a wonderfull time at POP.
I arrived at POP on monday 10 may. Grabbed my bagage from the belt at around 8pm. With Mears I was at around 9pm at Pop Century. Asked for a room on a higher floor if available. They gave me a room in de 90s section. The room number was 8457.
The busstop and mainbuilding weren't that far away.
The only thing was that the shortest route was through a parking lot. Other option was walking around the same parking lot. Not my ideal meanings of vacation that walking through a parking lot, but its only a couple of minutes, so no complains.
Room was just standard but good. The water preasure from the shower was just enough, but I should liked it when the preasure was higher.
Liked the setup of the food court in the main building. Used the food court most times for breakfast. For lunch or dinner I only used it two times. Its just my opinion, but I found the hot food options foor lunch or dinner limited. Thats not all. It was just like fast food in the parks with plastic forks etc. Why eat here if I can get the same stuff at the parks?
Maybe its just me but chicken strips, burgers, pasta etc. is not a real dinner for me. Of course its OK for one or two nights, but after that I need a real piece of meat. One time I had shrimp Lo mein, which was OK for one time. The other time I can't remember.
Most times I dined at the parks or at other resorts.

Overall I was happy I choosed POP Century. On my next trip I'm sure I'm staying again at POP century. They'v the cheapest rooms onsite and the them is better then any all star resort in my opinion.
Thank you all for answering questions in this threat. They were a great value.

Gr. Marcel.

You have the honor of staying in the same exact room that I stayed in during my test stay! LOL

I would recommend being respectful of neighbors during the early morning hours.

Thank you for saying that Tyler...........I was thinking the same thing!! They may be going to "party all week", but I will be there with my two dd's 9 & 7 and they should be respectful of that. It is a place for FAMILY VACATIONS!

I was just looking at Tyler's pics. What a beautiful resort. Is fishing allowed in the lake? I am so torn between driving down and camping, and flying and staying at Pop.
