And working hard at Pop!!! We saw him a couple of times during our stay last week.

People from the DIS board wear lime green or tie lime green ribbons, etc, to their belongings to identify each other.

I've only been approached once by a DIS person, but it was neat.

T&B

This has probably already been discussed but unfortunately I don't remember and I don't have time to look into the entire thread.

Can someone tell me where the closest place to Pop Century would be to pick up diapers/wipes/snacks, etc. when we arrive? We won't have much time between when our plane lands tomorrow, check-in and our dinner PS so I need someplace easy to get to and quick.

Thanks!

P.S. The more detailed you can be with the directions would be appreciated. This will be our first time driving at WDW so I am not at all familiar with the roads.

Tigger&Belle, My husband and I walked around WDW for nine days, wearing our lime green Mickey's on our camera bags and not one person said anything to us. I thought we would run into DISers all over the place like on the cruises. Are DISers who cruise friendlier?

Can anyone tell me if the gift shop at Pop sells the Disney Italian Charms? If so, any idea of the cost?

Thanks!

I do think I saw them there, directly across from the central cash register ( not the one by the bus lines, the one in the middle of the store) I didn't look at the cost but I think the cost of items is the same anywhere on property if it is an "official" disney item ( like not in the WS or something), at least every thing I looked at was.

There is a Publix grocery store that is 5 minutes from Pop Century, just off of Osceola Parkway near the Gaylord Palms.

From Pop Century, exit out the main (and only) entrance, and take a left at the lights. At the Osceola Parkway (next light) take another left. Continue about a mile down Osceola Parkway, take a right at the Gaylord Palms. Publix will be on the left, just after an overpass.

From Orlando Int'l Airport via 528/I-4... exit on the Osceola Parkway East exit. Take a right at the Gaylord Palms, and Publix will be on the left after the overpass. From Publix to Pop Century, exit out Publix and take a right. At the Gaylord Palms/Osceola Parkway intersection, take a left. When you enter WDW Property, you want to take the first right onto Victory Way. You'll see Pop Century on your right.

From Orlando Int'l Airport via 417, exit onto Osceola Parkway West, and then take a Left at the Gaylord Palms intersection. Publix will be on the left after the overpass. From Publix to Pop Century, exit out Publix and take a right. At the Gaylord Palms/Osceola Parkway intersection, take a left. When you enter WDW Property, you want to take the first right onto Victory Way. You'll see Pop Century on your right.

How long are you staying?? What room requests did you make??

Tyler,
We will be staying at PC in September for 10 days! Can't wait!! We do have a Handicapped Tag Hanger for my husband, but is there a particular building/rooms that would be better to request for him in regards to parking? We are always to the parks early and return late.

Thanks! Sharon :wave2:

Since I will be checking in late on Friday evening and I might forget to ask (or I won't find Tyler when I need him) I'm hoping to get the answer before I arrive.

Our family has an early PS on Saturday at Donald's Prehistoric B'fast. We would like to drive because later we need to go to the Wide World of Sports. Will the toll booth at the park open early enough for us to make it on time?

Seems like I was asked when making the PS if I had my own transportation and I didn't think to ask why? I just inform them that I did and that was that.

So, what's the scoop?

:earsgirl:  :earsboy:

Thanks to the great posts on this thread, we've decided to stay at the POP during our upcoming WDW trip!!!:Pinkbounc We'll be there from 2/24 to 3/2. We've reserved 2 preferred adjoining rooms (king&dbl/dbl) for the 5 of us (me,dh,and kids ages 8,5, & 2). Like everyone else, we'd like to be close to the food court and parking.
We've currently requested the 70s area - but we've started thinking that maybe the 60s area has the cuter theming (and being near the hippydippy pool would be a plus). I met someone yesterday that stayed in the 60s area and said that it was very close to the food court and very "Disney".
Does anyone have any thoughts on whether we should change our request? With 3 rambunctious kids, we need all the convenience we can get!
Thanks.

Do you think he will be wanting to walk to the food court, lobby, or bus stops much? If not, I'd actually recommend building 7, in the 80s. It's one of the further buildings, but it's right on a parking lot, and there are always plenty of parking spaces.

The toll plaza should open 15 minutes prior to the first priority seating.
