We just returned from a four night stay at the Poly and had a blast!!!

I wanted to post this video of the torch lighting! This guy was fabulous - the speed at which he did the spinning and throwing was amazing. A short little show, but definitely worth making some time out to see. It was at 6:00 each night we were there - not sure when it is at other times of the year. It was fabulous!

(I apologize in advance that I am NOT the best video-taker...oops)!

Thanks for posting that video - the torch lighting looks so cool! I didn't even know there was a torch lighting ceremony, but now we will definitely try to check it out!

There will be a cable in the closet to connect. Just plug it into the HSIA spot on the desk top.

Hello all! I'm on the DME bus of the way to the Poly! Ill post a picture from our TPV room once we get checked in and settled and ill check on that dole whip machines, I've never had one so ill be trying one this trip!

The Torch Lighting Ceremony is something that shouldn't be missed. Even when we're not staying at the Poly, we try to arrange our visits around seeing this. It's one of those little touches that make the Poly such a special place.

I agree that it is really special. We watched in on our last night at the Poly and it was a really nice little show. It really is a not-to-be-missed "touch" that makes the Poly such a special place.

Kaleo was at 'Ohana when we were there on Easter.

We are officially at the one-month-from-today-we-will-be-back-at-the-Poly mark!! I so need a vacation as i sit here today with the flu, and a Disney vacation is the best kind.

Goooood morning! I'm currently standing at lobby concierge getting our tickets for the Luau tonight! Were hoping it doesn't get rained out. Our room is 3406 in Tuvalu like we requested and let me tell you, the second I opened that door and saw the castle I nearly cried. I was choked up it was the most magical view I ever could have asked for. I didn't bring my laptop so you guys will have to wait a few days to see but I can't even believe how amazing it is. Check in was wuick and easy and we ordered room service breakfast it was so simple and they were right on time. I've been told have a magical day at least 20 times since arrival and its wonderful! The weather is kinda weird, its muggy but not oppressive. Its warm with occasional 5 min showers and overcast but perfect weather for the parks its nice enough for shorts and a tank top but not so hot you don't wanna move

Ill update later tonight after the Luau on our way to Epcot for EMH

Isn't the Tuvalu longhouse wonderful? I had the same reaction you did when I saw the castle for the first time from my room. So magical.

Sounds wonderful! We stayed at the Poly for the first time for a week in April and it was wonderful. Reading the boards (and this thread in particular) really helped make the time fly.
