I agree -- the view from 3rd floor Hawaii is the best!!! Now I don't think I could book a GVC room after being spoiled there.

And kudos for the Summit Plummet -- there is NO way I would be willing to try that!

Soymilk isn't put out automatically in the lounge. During our December stay, I just asked a CM if they had soy milk and she brought out a nice-sized bottle of vanilla Silk Soy milk. Eventually she recognized us in the latter days of our stay and asked if I'd like her to bring out some soy milk for me and my DD. The CMs in the lounge are awesome! :thumbsup2

DD and I are lactose intolerant so we live off of Silk soymilk. Thankfully Disney stocks it in Captain Cooks, Samoa Snacks and even uses it for lattes on request at the Kona Island coffee bar.

Oh, speaking of Kona Coffee, if you have a Trader Joe's near you, run, do not walk and pick up their cans of 100% Kona Coffee.:banana::banana: It's $19.99 for a big-sized can (around 16oz if I remember correctly) and yes, it is 100% Kona Coffee--not a blend. And the stores are all decked out in a Tiki theme so if you're sorely missing the Poly, it'll bring back memories. :cloud9:

Yeah, I couldn't see the point of paying for concierge vs a regular MK view if we'd have to haul soymilk, etc on our own anayway so I called and had them place a note on our reservation and then noted it again on my IPO form.

And I can't wait to get home and get Kona from my Trader Joe's!:hippie:

One of my favorite parts of the trip is being able to see the castle 24/7. It just makes me feel like I'm always on vacation. Nothing better after a long day at the parks just relaxing on the balcony and enjoying the views of the seven seas lagoon overlooking the Grand Floridian, MK, Contemporary, and checking out all the boats in the lagoon.

Ohhhh, you're making me rethink the GVCL... :lmao:
Must remember I have other bills than Disney...:rolleyes1

We did GVC in Hawaii on our first trip and it was great. However Lagoonview just puts it over the top for us. I don't think we could stay anything other than LVC.

I just upgraded to Lagoon View club level today!!! I figure with 5 of us in the room, having the lounge available will be worth it. I am beyond excited!!!:yay:
Does anyone know, will IPO book a specialty cruise as well as my ADR's? Thanks!

Well... since you're already staying GVCL, you have access to the lounge which has a dead-on view of the castle. :goodvibes Granted it isn't the same as seeing from your own room, I've worked a few late nights in the lounge on my laptop with my kid asleep on the couch with me while I watched the fireworks and the castle change colors. :cloud9:

When we were at GF RPC two years ago the conceirge staff booked all of our ADR's, parasailing, horse drawn carriage and back stage AK safari for us. Unfortunately we were there at Easter and all of the cruise bookings were full at our desired times, but yes, you should not have any problem with them making your special cruise.

I really hope so, it will be an anniversary surprise for my husband - if I can keep it a secret, that is. Thanks!

We re going to send our room request over tomorrow via fax (fingers crossed it ll work:goodvibes), can anyone please confirm the Polys Fax No for requests to be sent to

Thankyou :)

You should have no problem with the IPO booking your specialty cruise. Back in 2006 when we stayed Poly LVC. I had requested one of the Epcot specialty cruises. When I arrived they had booked 2 cruises on different days(friday & saturday nights!). They must have been confused, but I had no problem getting the 2nd one cancelled. Someone lucked out that week as it was a prime friday night Epcot cruise.

Called in a room request yesterday, and the CM told me that Tokelau was club level...??? :confused3 It sure wasn't when we stayed there a few years ago. Has there been a change, or was he having a confused moment?

He was confused. Hawaii and Tonga are club level.

Thanks! That's what I thought. Now I'm left wondering if he wrote down the right request, or not. I guess I'll need to call back and double check that the request is Tokelau, that's T-O-K-E-L-A-U ! ;)

I once booked an Illuminations cruise for my DH's birthday. I kept it a surprise until the boat pulled up at the dock at the YC (easier since we were staying there). He still smiles when he remembers it -- it was so much fun. Keep it a surprise if you can!
