I have breakfast reservations for CM for 11:05 on our MK day. I planned on being at MK at rope drop, leave the park for CM around 10:45 (I was told it was a quick walk to the Contemporary) and then head back to BWI for a few hours before returning to the park for the evening. I have had a lot of people tell me that it is a horrible time for ADR (it was the only time I could get) and I should look within the park instead. I can have lunch ADR for CP at 11:35 instead. It is in the park and supposedly a better time. I was pretty excited about the CM ADR, but I am now wondering if I should change it. I don't think my kids will like the pooh characters as much as the fab 5, but I am wondering if I am still better off switching. Is the food/atmospehere any better at one over the other. Any suggestions???

The walk to the Contemporary is short and leaving MK at 10:45am would be no problem. However, in my opinion the food is better at Crytal Palace and it's not AS loud (but still pretty loud). CP would be more convenient so you don't have to go back to MK to catch bus to BWI but really it is not that bad of a walk to CR (you do have to cross one major street). The CM breakfast would of course be breakfast food and the CP would be lunch food, if that makes a difference to you. You are looking at about an extra half mile of walking (round trip) with the CM breakfast.

Today I went on a little shopping trip and found some great things for the kids for Disney. I found a glow stick wand for my little princess and a glow stick sword for my pirate loving son. I think they will love them but I am not going to give them to them until we get to Disney and we watch Wishes one night. I also got cute Disney tattoos. There were princesses, Mickey and Friends, and Phineas and Ferb tattoos. We always let our kids get a tattoo in Disney when we go, but they always wash off so fast so we figured we would look for some here so it would be easy to replace them. And....my search paid off today. I am so happy! That will be another surprise for Disney. I have a lot of things to pack now. Now, I just need to get some more ponchos and I am set! Yay!

oh, and i'd keep the CM adr myself. If they kids like mickey and crew better than pooh and friends, why switch when the point of going is to make the kids happy. (at least, I assume that is your wish.)

They have tattoo stands in all the parks I believe. But henna, you can get done at the morrocco pavilion in World Showcase!

remove the spaces between your photos/tickers. it is too tall when you space them out like that. I just 'played' with mine until it looked right.

We always get the kids tattoos in HS by the Muppet Gift Shop (3-D theater), but I know they have them all over. They are just the regular temporary tattoos. They just clean the area with rubbing alcohol and stick them on. They are supposed to last for 7 days, but we have no luck with them. Each time we get them, they are off in two days. They tell you not to rub them with sun tan lotion, which we don't, but after going in the pool, shower, etc. they come off way too easily. I hope the temporary ones we bought hold the kids over so that we can just replace those. I know it's part of the experience to get them in DIsney, but $7 or more dollars spent just to have them come off, doesn't make sense to me anymore. I will probably end up giving in though. Once we are in Disney, I can't help myself.

Is anyone going in June having groceries delivered? All I am really wanting is a case of water and Diet Coke. I plan on bringing snacks in our luggage. Any suggestions?

It's fine. You have a couple of hours in the park and then go and eat. If your kids like Mickey better than I'd say to keep that ADR.

That is what I am leaning towards. I am hoping to get a few rides in between rope drop at 9 and leaving around 10:40. We will come back around 4:00 and can do some more. If we do not see as much this way that is too bad but we can't do everything and I am told that the CM character meal is an interesting Disney experience as well.

Thanks for the information about the amount of walking involved. Having never been to Disney World, I was not sure if someone saying the Contemporary was close meant a 10 minute walk or a 40 minute walk!! I was leaning towards CP (better food and quieter wins the Mom over every time) but then I mentioned it to my DS 12 and he was not very interested in the pooh crew but thought the Mickey crew would be "kinda fun". He also said he preferred a breakfast buffet, so I am leaning towards CM. I have not asked the other two kids yet. I guess majority rules. I was mainly worried about cutting off prime "ride time" too early. If we go with CM, I thought we could ride the monorail back to the MK as an experience in itself and then get a bus back to BWI. The extra travel will be a pain, but maybe they will find that part interesting.

I was plugging along getting all kinds of things done and then my grandfather unexpectedly passed away last week. This threw my whole family off. He wasn't young (everyone must think this matters because they keep saying, "At least he lived a long life"), but it was still not expected. In any case, I think I have fallen behind a little with things. I am taking a day off of work soon just to recoup and get myself back into the hang of things. We went out of town and then came back and there are mounds of laundry everywhere. I just need to get some thing accomplished. I need to finish the kids autograph book, but need more plastic pages. I also really need to get the countdown calendar up and going. Then I need to pack some things that we only use for Disney. I have to get in gear.

So sorry for your loss, Anjalee. No matter the age the loss is still felt.

We finally got our 2nd package Mickey mail today

The few times lately that we've been out to eat we say that we are practicing for WDW. Well the last 2 days we've been practicing our sweating-90 degree days already here And yesterday was so humid, yuck. I don't mind all of that at WDW, but here

I found the cutest toothbrush holders at the Dollar General store. They had Cars, Toy Story, Tink with the other fairies, and the Princesses. They were just $1 and I picked the Toy Story one it says "We Came to Play"
