June 2:Ohana ADR at like 7:20 in the morning then heading to MK
June 3: Epcot in morning Coral Reef ADR at 3:20 and Rose & Crown at 4pm (have to decide which one): then heading to MK for late night hours!!
June 4: Yak & Yeti at noon not sure what the rest of the plans are.
June 5: check on of Poly to move to Bonnett Creek, parents dont have their flight yet so not sure what time we can get in over there...Chef Mickey ADR for 10:55

want to do SW weekend this first weekend so we can get some time in before the rest of my family arrives..we will have to do it again the next weekend as well as my nephew is a SW nut!!

Figure although we are there for 12 days we want to try and get our top 20 list done before the other 13 family members arrive!!

Do have an ADR for castle on Thursday the 9th at 8am for all 17 of us!!

oh yayy!!! What is it? I've been trying to immerse myself with Disney readings, so any suggestions would be appreciated!

@anjalee6: My party will be arriving on June 17th at the AKL (:

It is the 2011 Passporter's Walt Disney World.

very neat... lots of color pictures.

Someone earlier mentioned hats - who has a good h at suggestion for girls who hate hats? (Me) I look like a total dork in a hat. Any suggestions?

i love my WDW visor. I am so NOT a hat person at all! I look awful in hats. But, the visor doesn't make me hot, does shade my eyes and really helps the sun fatigue. It has a straw brim and a fabric band. You can find them all over WDW for about $15. They say Walt Disney World on the band and have a small silver mickey head on one side of the straw brim.

Going in June, but not my preferred time! Now that my daughter is in high school, our whole life revolves around her schedule! Football games, band competitions, practices, and whatever else. Wish we could be free to go to the Halloween Party!

:woohoo:I am nervous about June... we went in October last year and it was perfect.
DS will be in 6th grade next year though and in advanced classes, just nervous about taking him out for a week... also, I got the free dining pin.

Story of our planning! DD is a junior in high school with 4 APs, so she has so much to do all the time, so we always head down in June. Though we had a 4 day weekend in November, so we got a quick Disney trip in, and were able to go to MNSSHP on the 1st.

I woke up this morning to possibly the most infuriating email i could have possibly gotten. the airline has decided to switch our flight from 7 in the morning, to 630 AT NIGHT. which means by the time we will get there it will be AFTER THE LAST MAGICAL EXPRESS SHUTTLE.. i was so excited that we we're able to go the extra day and this is definitely not what we bargained for, i'm not sure that we can change our flight since it was nonrefundable im at a complete loss i just dont know what to do

ok ok crises averted looks like the moved our departure leaving wdw up half an hour and i freaked. I do this kind of thing ALL the time. im pretty over dramatic:lmao: shout out to cm Dorothy for putting my mind at ease :)

Glad that everything is fine! That would have scared me too.

Whew... glad it worked out!

My crew is starting our walking program today.
We will walk 2-4 miles a day until our trip.

We did this in October and it really had us up for all of the walking...
My 10 year old didn't whine or complain once!

1) What things do you pack in your suitcase that are just for Disney?
Cooling Gel, neck wraps, blister band-aids (haven't needed them, but still take them as a precaution) WDW Visor, tank tops (I *never* wear these at home :rotfl: )

2) Ok, be honest, how many people have started packing for Disney already?
I call it 'pre-packing' and its where I start collecting the odds and ends into a box in the bottom of the closet. It's also the time I go through the Disney box under my bed and start picking out the things that will go with us.

3) What special traditions do you have to prepare for Disney? (making T-shirts, watching movies, countdown calendars, etc)
Our traditions involve me obsessing for months over who/what/when/where. We surprise the kids a different way each year, so right now I'm planning the 'partial reveal' Once they know we are going we will start the family aspect of the planning. I always leave a 1/2 day per kid open so we can do what they want and they get to plan it down to the last detail. (p.s. this approach has it's pitfalls. Last year DS3's 1/2 day consisted of riding Pirates of the Caribbean over and over. We did exactly that for almost 2 hours straight before he finally decided that he wanted to do other things too :rotfl2: )

4) Does your family tour commando style, absolutely care free, or somewhere in the middle?
We are in the middle. We usually go for 10 days so we have plenty of time to relax. We make opening gate for each park at least once during the trip to get the high priority stuff done, then if we get to do it again, it's a bonus. The only ride we never get twice in a trip is Toy Story Mania. I refuse to do that insane race twice.

5) What is the one thing you really want to try "new" at Disney this year? (in other words, something you have never done before)
Star Tours!!!!

6) Describe your family to us so we know who to "look out for" in Disney? LOL
Dh: :yoda:5"10 black curly hair, medium build, will be wearing a hat and sunglasses (we think he's in witness protection :rotfl2: ) Me: :ccat: 5'4 long/straight red hair will be wearing a WDW visor and a tank top  DD10: princess:short blond hair, tall, skinny, looks like a model, obviously switched at birth because she looks nothing like the rest of us. :lmao: DD8: :tinker: Mid length blond hair, average build, will be acting completely goofy or slumped on a nearby bench because she's "too tired to go on" DS4: pirate: Short blond tornado will probably be humming the imperial march from Star Wars....it's his theme song.

Hi everyone.. I just found the DIS boards.. My printer is all ready getting a work out. I printed out the park times/and crowd chart. I'm starting to get excited! This is the first time I made ADR, we usually just wing vacations. I am attempting to be more organized and hoping we will see and do things we have missed in past trips. I have tried to get ADR for the T-Rex at DTD but have only be given 10pm as available. Anyone have better luck? My kids really wanted to go there this trip.

We are going to POFQ June 13-23.

I'm surprising DH and DD with a trip in June! So far the plan is to tell them a week before we leave.

We will be at Pop from June 16th till June 28th.

Then at AKL from June 28th till either June 30th or July 1st. I'm not telling DH and DD about this part of the trip until we arrive at AKL to check-in!

Lori-Disney 1derland - your son's description cracked me up (maybe because I'm geeky enough to now be humming it too).

Mamie - welcome to the Dis!

kitkat - how on earth do you surprise the dh?? That is an accomplishment!

Hi Anjalee,
Thanks for all the hard work!
Have an update. We have reservations for Cirque de Soleil, June 28@6:00.
Can't wait. Will be our first time to see it!
Have a great day:thumbsup2

How did I miss a new questionnaire? :confused3 I have been terrible about keeping up lately. We're about to go to the grocery store and I'll come back and respond. I know you're all waiting on pins and needles for my answers. :lmao:

Welcome to all the new June goers! I CAN NOT wait!!!

Sounds like a lot of fun. I added your ADRs to the list on page 1. If it's not correct let me know.

Welcome! We always go in the summer time so I don't have any advice, except to take it easy and just have fun. It is more crowded, but very doable.

Wow! I could never pull off a surprise on the trip like that. I get too excited and everyone needs to know that we are going to Disney! Welcome to our group. I added your information to our list on page 1. :yay:

Hi Anjalee,
Thanks for all the hard work!
Have an update. We have reservations for Cirque de Soleil, June 28@6:00.
Can't wait. Will be our first time to see it!
Have a great day:thumbsup2

Not a problem at all. Glad to do it. :thumbsup2 Your change has been made.

1) What things do you pack in your suitcase that are just for Disney?ponchos, dish soap, glowsticks

2) Ok, be honest, how many people have started packing for Disney already? We haven't really started packing yet, but like most other posters I do have a box of stuff for Disney that I've been collecting a little at a time. So far it has travel size toiletries, stuff for the plane for the boys, dish soap, sponge, glowsticks, and toothbrushes.

3) What special traditions do you have to prepare for Disney? (making T-shirts, watching movies, countdown calendars, etc)Currently I have 3 countdown calendars right now (one in my planner and two at work). We'll do a countdown calendar as a family too. I will probably start that at 45 days out. I think I'm going to start doing a movie night each week also. Mix it up between old and new movies. I'm going to also do a Mickey themed dinner the night before we leave.

4) Does your family tour commando style, absolutely care free, or somewhere in the middle? We are somewhere in the middle. Last time I had each park pretty much planned out b/c we didn't have park hoppers. This time it's a little less planned out except for SWW. We do each list our top 3 rides and try to do atleast those, whatever else we accomplish is a bonus.

5) What is the one thing you really want to try "new" at Disney this year? (in other words, something you have never done before)I'm really excited for the Fireworks and Dessert Party. Also I'm really going to make sure I get a turkey leg and Dole Whip.

6) Describe your family to us so we know who to "look out for" in Disney? LOLI'm short (DH jokes I barely make the height requirement for most rides) w/short brown hair and very pale. I will probably blind you when you walk by, lol. DH has short brown hair, average height and will be dark (he tans really well:mad:). MIL will be with us and she'll probably be trailing behind us. DS 7 is skinny w/blonde hair and glasses and DS 4 has brown hair and probably will be the one throwing the fit in front of Star Tours and other 40" heigh req rides b/c he's a smidge too short for the rides. (We're hoping some pixie dust comes his way and grows the extra 1/2" before our trip. or hoping for some shoes to help his height)

Lori-Disney 1derland - your son's description cracked me up (maybe because I'm geeky enough to now be humming it too).

LOL...most days he is dressed as Spider-Vader-Pirate or Iron-Vader-Pirate or some such combination. Last year he was mad because he couldn't hug Darth Vader, you have *never* seen a kid that mad! We are absolutely the geeky sci-fi family, we'll try to tone it down at WDW so as not to embarrass my fellow June attendees. Wouldn't want to give you guys a bad rep or anything :rotfl2:
