:cool1: I LOVE :lovestruc reading everybody's plans. So jealous of those that are under 100 days already. We'll be there soon enough I guess. :rotfl:

Starting this week I've decided on a chart for my kids. Tired of the endless nagging in the morning for them to get ready and in the afternoons to get homework done and the fighting and nagging to clean their rooms. So we are going to a Disney rewards system. Starting today, if they have a good day and do everything they are supposed to do, everything we ask, don't fight, then they can earn a smilie or check mark for that day which will be posted on a chart at the end of the evening. Every smilie/check mark equates to ONE DOLLAR they can earn to spend on whatever they want in Disney. Since we are outside of 100 days, that is 100 dollars but I know my kids...we won't have to pay out THAT much! :lmao: We did something similar on a previous trip. This is a bonus for us because it helps them police their own behavior and with 100 days I'm hoping the habits will stick BEYOND that.

I figure depending on the amount they earn, what I'll do in June as we get closer is buy a VISA gift card for either $25, $50, $75 or $100 depending on how close they are to that amount. This way they can track their own spending. :thumbsup2 Maybe I'll just buy cards as they earn them...like $25 for the first $25 they earn and so on. That might be easier.

We'll see how it goes! :cool1:

We do something similar. Each pay day I pick up 30 - 31 ones. Each day that my daughter completes everything on her chart, she gets $1. She could potentially make $365 a year, but it never happens. She'll be motivated for a few days and then not at all for a few. She saves every dollar she earns though for future Disney trips.

I decided in November, to start putting each dollar left at the end of the month that she doesn't earn in my vacation fund. LOL

called disney today and no pin for me but i wasnt able to check if my partner in crime had one because i dont actually know her address :confused3 ive driven there a hundred time but i never actually knew the address lol so when i find that out hopefully she'll have the pin *fingers crossed*

We did this last year and it worked so well for my oldest. Youngest was a little too small for the chart. We made copies of the old Disney Dollars and had our son get one paper Disney dollar each day for good behavior. He kept them in a bank and then turned them in for a Disney gift card right before we left for Disney. He really liked it. I think that your kids will enjoy the chart and it's a great feeling collecting money before the trip. :thumbsup2 He loved it and asked if we were going to do it again this year.

We hit our 100 day mark today! :cool1: Got the free dining pin..of course...but we are staying off property. Did not really think there would be any promotions to take advantage of....oh well. Bonnett Creek looks awesome as does the pool so we are still just as excited!

We added a day! We now arrive 6/11 and we added a 6/18 adr for the Wishes Dessert Party at 9 pm. Ours is listed under littleabgie.

Thanks!!!!

Will

3) Favorite attraction in each park?
-MK? - this is hard Jungle Cruise. Lame, I know. But i have wonderful memories of waiting in that twisty windy very very long line. And how cheesy the drivers used to be.

My DH LOVES this ride. LOL We ride it at least 10 times every trip.

the line there, just brings back the best memories for me. It was always hot and sweaty and we would wait for an hour to get on the ride but we loved every minute of it...just when you'd think you were getting close you'd cross over and realize you had lots more waiting. I honestly think it's the line that I like more than the ride and I get just a little pang of nostalgia when I look at it. And maybe even a teeny bit disappointed when we don't have to wait. Though that passes....

Plus, the ride is just so old school Disney that you can't help but love it.

Totally...I love listening to the "music" of the line. It's funny and entertaining and I kinda enjoy watching people hear it for the first time. But for me...I do a little mental giggle over the backside of water. LOL Yes yes I have issues! :rotfl:

well, we just told our kids. :) Got dh on skype and teased them a little with clues. They were totally floored that we are going in J une since ds will still be in school and my rule has always be "no removal from school for vacation!" but since DH will just be coming home, AND the prices were too good to pass up, I am willing to make an exception this one time. ;)
