Pop Century Pool in the 60s bldg I think. :goodvibes

You "R" the bomb!!!!

Disney's Pop Century Resort is a resort at the Walt Disney World Resort. It is one of four hotels that make up the "value resort" group, along with the Disney's All-Star Sports Resort, Disney's All-Star Movies Resort, and Disney's All-Star Music Resort. The hotel is themed around different decades in American pop culture. Much like the other resorts within the value category, there are giant versions of various items built around the hotel. Each themed area features motel-style buildings adorned in gigantic (3 meters+) phrases and iconography of the particular decade being represented. The resort has 2,880 rooms in ten separate buildings, three pool areas, and one central area that houses the front desk, gift shop, arcade and food court. The buildings are four story versions of the three story All-Star Resort buildings.

That's gotta be Port Orleans, the main building & the bridge to Ol' Man Island.

You are Correct!!!!

Disney's Port Orleans Resort French Quarter and Disney's Port Orleans Resort Riverside are a pair of resort hotels located at the Walt Disney World Resort. The two hotels are themed to look like New Orleans or the Old South. Both resorts are located in the Downtown Disney area. The resort is owned and operated by Walt Disney Parks and Resorts.

Disney's Port Orleans Resort French Quarter was designed to reflect the style and architecture of New Orleans' French Quarter. The resort opened May 17, 1991 as Disney's Port Orleans Resort with 432 guest rooms in three guest buildings and expanded to its current 1,008 rooms in seven 3-story guest buildings containing 144 rooms each.

Disney's Port Orleans Resort Riverside was designed to reflect antebellum south along the Mississippi River. The resort opened February 2, 1992 as Disney's Dixie Landings Resort, initially with rooms located in its Alligator Bayou section, and shortly afterward the remaining Magnolia Bend section was opened. Alligator Bayou consists of 1,024 guest rooms over 16 buildings styled as rustic, weathered lodges with 64 rooms per lodge. Magnolia Bend consists of 1,024 guest rooms over four buildings styled as southern plantation grand manor homes with 256 rooms per mansion.[1]

The two resorts are connected to each other and Downtown Disney via the Sassagoula River.

Never been there, but having spent way too much time looking at pics & maps, I'm guessing it's Carribbean Beach Resort.:goodvibes

True!!!

Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort is a resort which is located in the Walt Disney World Resort. It is located in the Epcot area of Walt Disney World, close to the waterpark Typhoon Lagoon and is classified as a moderately priced resort. The resort started operating on October 1, 1988 and is owned and operated by Walt Disney Parks and Resorts.

The Caribbean Beach Resort is designed with a Caribbean theme. Guests stay in one of the small apartment buildings that encircle Barefoot Bay, a 45-acre (180,000 m2) lake. Buildings are grouped into one of six villages, with shared resources, each named after an island in the Caribbean: Martinique, Barbados, Jamaica, Aruba, Trinidad North, and Trinidad South

Well, it really depends on crowd lvls, if you use the fastpasses and how fast you walk! Plus, are you taking time to wait for characters?

I really didn't pay attention to how many we went on, nevertheless by when. I just played it all by ear, and it worked out. :confused3

I do think maybe 10 rides before noon might be pushing it, I mean, if RP is at 9am, and you want to be done with 10 by noon, that is 3 hours to do 10 rides, or about 3 rides an hour. I guess that might be do able if the lines are 20 min or less each. you hit any 1 hour long lines and you wont do it. :confused3

Thanks! It did seem like it was pushing it. I'm just trying to figure out a first day ballpark sort of plan, as I know my kids have no clue what is in store for them at the parks! I don't know what their character plans are, right now they are sort of "meh" on it but that may change once we get there.

I can't wait to take them!!!!

So, for those of you that have been in June or are familiar with park touring...
How many rides can you get in before lunch if you got there at rope drop?

Anyway, I've put a guide together for rides in a certain order, getting FP along the way, etc etc. But I've got like 10 rides before we leave the park for an afternoon break. Is that realistic? For reference, they are:

Dumbo
Get Peter Pan FP
Ride Winnie the Pooh
Ride Teacups
Get Buzz FP
Ride Tomorrowland Speedway
Ride Peoplemover
Monster's Inc
Ride Buzz
Ride Peter Pan
Ride Philharmagic
Ride It's a Small World
-break-

Wow, 10 rides between 9am and noon would be tough. I'd say you have to hit Dumbo first, and maybe Peter Pan right way before lines start...not even Fastpass it. You could probably even get in Winnie the Pooh and teacups all within an hour or so. Tomorrowland Speedway is another one with a huge line that builds quickly...I'd say head from teacups directly there next. You can squeeze in the TTA (Peoplemover) easily enough too while there. Monsters is usually a bit of a wait unless you get there right when the show is starting so that's a tough one to plan. Then right to Buzz next. Philharmagic is another one where timing is everything...I'd plan for at least 30 minutes for both Monsters and Philharmagic between the wait and the show...its all about timing. Small World should be a fast loading one too.

Now we've always gone in off season and I'd say it's not impossible now that I read through this if you just go, go, go. Plus you aren't hitting Space Mountain.

I would say you could definitely do those in 4 hours if you plan it right though...depending on crowds!

Reminder:

June 1st is only 55 days away. If you have not paid your Disney onsite vacation package in full yet, it is due no later than 45 days before check-in.

Thanks! I figured the lines for Dumbo, Teacups, and Speedway would be s l o w, so I was just trying to figure out what to do in those areas and completing them asap without running back and forth. I guess I'm hoping to do those before 1pm or so, including lunch (QS) somewhere, but if I don't we'll just come back after a break and pick up where we left off!

And I'm not trying to be commando/uber-planner, I just have memory issues, and I know once I'm in an overwhelming environment I'll forget stuff. I feel more comfortable with my list/safety net in my pocket. I'm making another list for each park with notes on best places for us to eat (we are vegan). Even though I've gone over this enough that I practically have it memorized, I know once I get there I'll feel better having something to refer to, which will be less stressful for me, and if we veer off course it will be a nice reminder of the general plan.

sounds like me a bit. after breakfast (an ADR) I had no actual plan, and next thing I knew it was nearly 7pm and we had not eaten since 930am! :scared1: never once did my kid even say 'i'm hungry' nor did I FEEL hungry (neither did the other two adults in the party). But we sure did feel better after eating!

So, this year I made sure to actually have set plans for meals, most of them we have ADR's for, and I plan to SET MY CELL PHONE ALARM to remind me to 'wake up' to what time it is. I am sure we missed plenty last time (we only had one day for the park(s) and we opened then closed MK. we never even seen adventureland! :scared1: so yeah, totally understand the need for a good plan. I plan to do this myself once I get our maps via the mail. :thumbsup2

speaking of planning my planning has turned into a complete disaster. I have no problem planning by myself, actually i prefer it, but the person i'm going with wants to get involved. And while I completely understand that, its getting a little crazy. We can never find any time to get together, and when we do she is always coming over with extra people, who of course aren't disney people, so they're being a tad bit irritating. I have however started a "back up" plan. When trying to plan with my dc inevitably falls through, we'll still have a plan. It's so stressful! We've scheduled another planning session tomorrow after a failled one today, we'll see how that goes!

   what i would do if the planning session falls through again, just as for a top ten must not miss list. add those in and your back up plan will work just fine! :thumbsup2
