I really need to get caught up here. Our little guy has been sick and in the hospital. Ready for spring so that we can throw open the windows and shoo the sick out.

104 days :) Almost double digits.

I hope he's ok. :(

Just paid our trip off today:cool1: Come on June 11:banana:

Congrats!! That is wonderful. I hope mine is paid in full in three weeks!

I also wanted to add about a favorite counter service. We ate at Wolf Gang Puck Express at DTD and it was amazing. We are definitely going to go there again!

Happy planning!

Thanks. That's good to know.
My son is still in school till the 24th of June (were' up in Mass) my daughter graduates at the end of May though. But since dh will just be coming home AND the price was right I just had to do it. I've never ever ever pulled my kids out of school for vacation. :teacher: grandpa is razzing me BAD. I feel slightly guilty...but not a lot. :rotfl:

I am a teacher too and wish I could take a week and go in the middle of the school year! I remember my parents pulling me out a couple of weeks growing up to go on vacation! Have fun, it doesn't happen often.

Mindy,
I am so sorry that your son was sick. I hope that he is feeling better. We had our own scare with the hospital a few weeks ago so I know the feeling. I hope everything returns to normal for you soon.

I LOVE the Grad Ears! My husband just graduated from college in December and I'm thinking about getting him a surprise pair when we get down there in June. :cool1: I'm so proud of him and how hard he worked, I think he's earned some ears.

Mary,
You should be really proud of your husband! I bet he would love the graduation ears. They are really cool looking.

I know.. It really stinks that we are so limited as to when we can go, but there is something special about Disney in the summer.

I totally agree. this is when we alway did our Disney trips and to me, Disney at any other time of the year is not the same - probably why we keep going back in the summer. It was fun with my dad as a teacher though - we'd leisurely drive from MA to FL - taking 4 or 5 or more days to get there, pulling our trailer, and we'd stop in all sorts of interesting (strange) places to camp over night, but then we'd get to stay for 2 or 3 weeks at FW and just have the time to wander around. I have the best memories of my brother and I just strolling up and down the fitness trail at FW or hopping the boat to Poly to use the pool (at the time it was just poly, CR and FW) it was even before FW had a pool, that came when I was a teenager. We had the beach on the lake there, so we'd sit at the lake and my mom would let the little ones play and the older ones would take those personal boats out.

Good memories!

I hope he's ok. :(

Thank you. He's still not 100% but much better than he was. He has illness induced asthma. This was his second stay in three months.

I can not wait to get this trip underway! I think we will do the Magic Kingdom on the first day. My oldest son is very excited about his first trip on Space and Slash Mountains. Splash has been closed during our last several trips and he is just now tall enough for Space Mountain. Then we have reservations for Hoop Dee Doo Review. It's our first night tradition :goodvibes

My son also is waiting to get on Splash and Space. Space was closed when we were there last and he was too afraid for Splash. He still may be. ;)

I'm hoping that my son grows an extra half inch before we got to Disney this year. He is just a tad short for Space Mt. and Expedition Everest. He is so excited to ride EE. We keep telling him that if he keeps eating, maybe he will be tall enough. He is not a big eater so anything we can do to get him to eat is a plus with us. :thumbsup2 I just hope he grows that extra half inch or he is going to be really sad. Maybe he can wear really big shoes! ;)

good luck with that! mine isn't very adventurous (for an almost 11 year old) Our first order of business is BTM which he marginally did ok on last time then we'll see what happens. It's ok though - I like to ride everything but I'm also a big fan of the sitting on a bench and watching everything happen. :)

LOL! He even wanted to ride ToT, but I told him that I wasn't sure that he would like it until he was older....not after Dinosaur scared him last year. He look fine when we were on the ride, but when we got off, I asked if now he wanted to go with Daddy, and he politely said, "I think I will wait until I'm bigger...like 5 than I will try it again." That was the end of that and he never mentioned it again. Now, this year he wanted to watch it on Youtube to "see" if he would like it this time and he wants to try it. I figure. He did, BTM last year along with Splash Mt and Star Tours. He liked them all. We will see how he feels when we get there.

We have been trying the same trick to get Rylan to eat. He's about 46 1/2" now. He's easily 47" with shoes. I keep telling him to eat so that he'll be big enough for Rock N Rollercoaster. He is such a dare devil. He's been riding ToT for two years now without fear.

I'll be honest, I love Splash and am really looking forward to getting on it myself. My husband hates it because he doesn't like being wet. He might change his mind when he is in the sweltering June heat.

Glad to see we aren't the only parents with kids who are trying their best to get their kids to grow up a little bit fast. Last trip our two youngest finally made the 40" inch height requirement which got them on just about everything...and it was great to be able to ride so much together. I've spent many years sitting out with kids. Now my youngest didn't quite make the 44" mark in 2009 but he will easily make it this trip...and now we are working on that magic 48" inch mark as well. The two youngest are about an inch or two short right now. They are both pretty good eaters but we're hoping a growth spurt will help get them closer. DD 9 Noelle is especially ALWAYS asking if a certain food will help her grow. She is desperate to reach 48 inches by June! We're hopeful!

I can tell you that we bought a pair of shoes one year specifically because they helped give my oldest son at the time a little extra height so he could ride some things. We still have those shoes and my use them for my youngest son if that's what it takes! :woohoo:
