Ok so I just posted that we had paid off our trip and than I decided that I wanted to change from a value to a moderate. So now we have another payment to make, but I am happy about the decision to move. So my family and I will now be staying at the Caribbean Beach resort in a pirate room. Hopefully it will be a great time!:lmao:

:cool1: You will like that!! It's a beautiful resort. I remember buying these neat coconut postcards from there several years ago. They were real coconuts! I mailed one to my mom and one to my sister & her family. I laughed at the thought of them opening the mailbox and finding a coconut from Disney World.:lmao:

We are staying at Port Orleans Riverside again this time. We really love the resort. This will be my mothers first time to stay there so I hope she enjoys it. Oh how I wish we were already there! I'm at 36 or 37 days I think. :yay:

49 days for us and it's getting here really fast! :) We should be getting some Mickey Mail soon, although we did it differently this trip. We did a room only with a 20% discount and then bought our tickets through the YES program so we already have those. I guess the only thing to wait on is the ME packet - still exciting! :cool1:

We're now trying to decide if we should go down a day early so we can take advantage of Universal Studios so my DS can meet Spongebob since he is a HUGE fan. Decisions, decisions...:rotfl2:

Heather

I paid our trip off last week, and we are now 36 days out. When do they mail out the luggage tags and all of that? I need some Mickey mail!!

Friday Questions!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1) What resort have you stayed at the most? Wilderness Lodge

2) What would be your Disney dream job (character, ride operator, imagineer, etc)? Dress up as Cinderella or operate POTC

3) When you think of Disney World, what is the first thing that comes to mind? Family memories

4) Have you ever traveled to Disney solo? or would you? No, have not traveled to Disney solo. I don't think I could enjoy it by myself- I love spending time with my family

5) Are you an obsessive ADR maker (I know a few already-) or do you go with the flow? Love making ADRS- :thumbsup2

6) Do you plan your park days based on EMH? If so, do you avoid them or go to them? We usually go to EMH parks in the mornings and then head out of them in the early afternoon to another park

7) What is the best souvenir you have ever gotten from Disney? My first Minnie Mouse when I was 5. It was my favorite toy for a long time

8) Do you book standard rooms or go for "the views"? We usually go standard. I would rather spend money at Disney in other ways. We don't spend enough time in our room for it to matter

9) Have you ever gotten a towel animal? If yes, what was your favorite and where did you stay? Yes, our favorite was Mickey and Minnie kissing. We got that at Ft. Wilderness Cabins

10) What is your favorite character meal and why?
Our favorite character meal is Chef Mickey's for breakfast. We love the characters and we love waving our napkins in the air! We also like Garden Grill for dinner. The food is not our favorite, but the character interaction is wonderful!

1) What resort have you stayed at the most? POR

2) What would be your Disney dream job (character, ride operator, imagineer, etc)? TOT Ride Operator I love those guys!

3) When you think of Disney World, what is the first thing that comes to mind? Mickey

4) Have you ever traveled to Disney solo? or would you? No and No

5) Are you an obsessive ADR maker (I know a few already-:rotfl:) or do you go with the flow? No I've only made 2, we just go with the flow

6) Do you plan your park days based on EMH? If so, do you avoid them or go to them? Mostly, try to make the night ones

7) What is the best souvenir you have ever gotten from Disney? Pictures are my thing, Memories!

8) Do you book standard rooms or go for "the views"? Standard

9) Have you ever gotten a towel animal? If yes, what was your favorite and where did you stay? Yes Dog and Clown. The Clown is my favorite she really took time to make that one. Gluing little beads all over it. It was at POP.

10) What is your favorite character meal and why?
We have done a few. I'd have to say Tusker House so far. Food was great, Characters spent alot of time taking pics with the kids. But we'll see if it's still my favorite after this trip. We have an ADR for Ohana character breakfast this time around.

1) What resort have you stayed at the most?
I've never stayed at the same resort twice. I'm on a quest to do them all and I only go once every other year. (Or atleast that's what I'm planning to do.)

2) What would be your Disney dream job (character, ride operator, imagineer, etc)?
I was a dancer for 13 years so I always wanted to be in a show. My dance studio did do Disney's magic music days so that was as close as you can get. And it was amazing.

3) When you think of Disney World, what is the first thing that comes to mind? Magic:goodvibes

4) Have you ever traveled to Disney solo? or would you? No. I say that I want to but I would chicken out. I'm a really paranoid person so I couldn't travel alone.

5) Are you an obsessive ADR maker (I know a few already-:rotfl:) or do you go with the flow?
I go with the flow. This year no adr's!

6) Do you plan your park days based on EMH? If so, do you avoid them or go to them?
We plan on making the night emhs since we're not morning people.

7) What is the best souvenir you have ever gotten from Disney?
Hmmm toughy probably my Disney bag that I got on my last trip its the perfect size for daytripping with DD

8) Do you book standard rooms or go for "the views"? Standard rooms. Even though last year we got lucky with our view of the lake at pop

9) Have you ever gotten a towel animal? If yes, what was your favorite and where did you stay?
No:sad1:
10) What is your favorite character meal and why?I've only ever done chef Mickey's. Its where my mom took me and I took DD. Maybe next time on our first DD and mom only trip we'll try some more

We will be there June 11th-18th, it was just decided today. My mom wants to take Me, DD & DS for DS 12th birthday, but I have to plan it all! In a month and a half :scared1:, We will be staying off property.

1) What resort have you stayed at the most? We were trying to do a different resort until we had stayed in all of them, but I don't want to stay in a value (just don't...may just be me...) and we stayed in our first deluxe in December (WL) and just weren't impressed enough to want to go back (although I'm still harboring dreams of GF and the Poly....). This trip will be our second at CBR, so, until then, we haven't stayed at one more than once.

2) What would be your Disney dream job (character, ride operator, imagineer, etc)? I think imagineer. I'm fascinated in the creation of it all!

3) When you think of Disney World, what is the first thing that comes to mind? When can we go? Um...okay, I'm sure that wasn't what you were looking for.... Cinderella Castle? Spaceship Earth? Soarin'? A random conglomeration of everything?

4) Have you ever traveled to Disney solo? or would you? I would love to! But, at least until the DD gets older, I might feel guilty about going solo. On the other hand, we did go, just the two of us, for 2 days 2 years ago. It was way better traveling with a 5 yo than I would have expected.

5) Are you an obsessive ADR maker (I know a few already-) or do you go with the flow? We like our ADRs. The first trip, we made a few....and the days/times that we didn't have one, had a hard time figuring out where to eat. I'm not completely sure how I like planning the whole trip around which ADRs we get, but I don't complain too much.

6) Do you plan your park days based on EMH? If so, do you avoid them or go to them? We plan on ADRs. Then get surprised later when we look up the park hours. I think, sometimes, EMH are to be avoided.

7) What is the best souvenir you have ever gotten from Disney? My favorite is probably the Christmas ornaments I get made out of DD's reveal pics from BBB. I love getting those out every year. After that...I use my reusable mugs all the time, wear my t-shirts and use my beach towels a little too often... I also have a pair of pink Disney Croc flops that I bought 2 years ago when my feet couldn't take any more walking in my sneakers. They were a God-send! (And after last December's trip, I won't be wearing any more sneakers in WDW!) I have tons of stuff that gets used and reused, etc., all the time, to be able to pick out a "best"!

8) Do you book standard rooms or go for "the views"? It's all about location, location, location!

9) Have you ever gotten a towel animal? If yes, what was your favorite and where did you stay? We got a bear head at CBR, and a bear, elephants (not that we could take those...), Mickey head, and several other things at POR.

10) What is your favorite character meal and why? I think Garden Grill. I thought the food was great, loved the rotating restaurant, and there was so much character interaction it started to get annoying....And then, of course, the bday song version of "Hakuna Matata" was awesome! 2nd would be 1900 Park Faire with Cinderella and family. We're doing that one again this trip, and, hopefully, the camera won't die. There is nothing worse than having your DD dressed up like Cinderella and having her posed with Prince Charming and the camera won't take a picture anymore!

1) What resort have you stayed at the most? Yacht Club...it's the only on-site resort we've stayed at so far.

2) What would be your Disney dream job (character, ride operator, imagineer, etc)? Something in customer service. I'd love to work with the familes who are on a Make a Wish trip.

3) When you think of Disney World, what is the first thing that comes to mind? The castle.

4) Have you ever traveled to Disney solo? or would you? No, and probably not.

5) Are you an obsessive ADR maker (I know a few already-) or do you go with the flow? Yes! I love making ADR's, and cancelling them, and making them...:rolleyes1

6) Do you plan your park days based on EMH? If so, do you avoid them or go to them? Kind of...I use TGM and Touring Plans, and avoid EMH.

7) What is the best souvenir you have ever gotten from Disney? My photographs. I also had a tie-dyed Mickey shirt that I loved. I wore it until it fell apart!

8) Do you book standard rooms or go for "the views"? The most important thing to me is the location of the resort itself...we like the Epcot resorts. Standard room at a deluxe is what we've booked for both on-site trips. This time I got lucky, and my TA upgraded me at the BWI with the 30% discount, which made the room less expensive than a standard view. Boardwalk view, here I come!:cool1:

9) Have you ever gotten a towel animal? If yes, what was your favorite and where did you stay? No towel animals yet.

10) What is your favorite character meal and why? The only character meal I've been to is CRT, so I guess it's my favorite!;) We don't have children, so the most important thing to us is the quality of the food.

Honestly - I'd say any minute! In the past we've received ours around day 35! :cool1::banana::cool1::banana:

Heather

:cool1: I've never been so excited to get mail in my life! :lmao:

1) What resort have you stayed at the most?Actually, we have never stayed at one twice until this next trip. It will be our second trip to Port Orleans Riverside.

2) What would be your Disney dream job (character, ride operator, imagineer, etc)?Something in Guest Relations/customer service. I would want a job where I could make peoples dreams come true each and every day. Like for example if someone came in with a problem. I want to be the one to not only solve the problem, but blow them away with something extra magical too.:goodvibes

3) When you think of Disney World, what is the first thing that comes to mind? I want to go! No, I think of the map of all the parks on it. It's like I see it all at once.

4) Have you ever traveled to Disney solo? or would you?
I have not, but I would if I couldn't find someone to go with me.

5) Are you an obsessive ADR maker (I know a few already-:rotfl:) or do you go with the flow?
Oh, I am obsessive alright. I plan it for days, and get up at the crack of dawn to call when they open.

6) Do you plan your park days based on EMH? If so, do you avoid them or go to them?
Sometimes both. I like to take advantage of morning EMH more than anything.

7) What is the best souvenir you have ever gotten from Disney?
Well, it wasn't a baby! I'm really not sure because I like it all. I can tell you what the worst was though, those stupid misting fans that they sell. They break easy.

8) Do you book standard rooms or go for "the views"? I book preferred, because that's more important to me than a view.

9) Have you ever gotten a towel animal? If yes, what was your favorite and where did you stay? We have had a few, the latest was at Port Orleans Riverside and it was a big Mickey head. What I have found to be very cute is when they stage the room with the kids souvenirs. They had the kids blankets and stuffed animals sitting on the bed like they were watching TV. It was cute. They did things like that a few nights of our trip at All Star Music.

10) What is your favorite character meal and why?

It will have to be Chef Mickeys, and I love it because it makes my..... HUSBAND happy!:lmao: The kids love it too, but DH is not a big Disney person, but he enjoys Chef Mickeys. He made us eat there twice last time.

I'll be in WDW June 2 - June 7 staying at CBR with my sister.

We are going because we got free QS dinning and had airline vouchers that would expire the end of June.

Our parents, 57 and 61, will be joining us on Sunday and Monday to celebrate Mom's birthday and Dad's graduation from Johns Hopkins! :) We will be the reverse of most families I think!

1) What resort have you stayed at the most? POR- twice as a kid, once on our honeymoon. Fort Wilderness in a tent twice as a kid.

2) What would be your Disney dream job (character, ride operator, imagineer, etc)? information booth attendant

3) When you think of Disney World, what is the first thing that comes to mind? warmth

4) Have you ever traveled to Disney solo? or would you? no and probably wouldn't

5) Are you an obsessive ADR maker (I know a few already-) or do you go with the flow? we dont' eat too many table service meals. I do make sure to make before park opening ADR's though right at 180 days

6) Do you plan your park days based on EMH? If so, do you avoid them or go to them? we try to avoid them, but unfortunately this trip we'll have to go to a park with them. We're staying off property.

7) What is the best souvenir you have ever gotten from Disney? my son! We didn't think we were going to be able to have any more kids.

8) Do you book standard rooms or go for "the views"? standard, but if we had the money to book a deluxe resort like Poly or Beach Club we'd book a special view room

9) Have you ever gotten a towel animal? If yes, what was your favorite and where did you stay? we got them daily when we stayed at the Wilderness Lodge last Feb. We got a cute owl one day.

10) What is your favorite character meal and why? that's a tough one. We liked 1900 park fare breakfast because of the Mad Hatter, BUT we love Tusker House and Crystal Palace for before park opening and the food. I think Tusker House would be the winner if it was just based on food.

1) What resort have you stayed at the most? never stayed on site before, this will be a 1st :)

2) What would be your Disney dream job (character, ride operator, imagineer, etc)? an event planner, that would be my dream job period. I wish I had known about the college program before my senior year, I would've done it! Or at least tried.

3) When you think of Disney World, what is the first thing that comes to mind? Mickey and Cinderella's castle

4) Have you ever traveled to Disney solo? or would you? nope and no, but I don't think I would travel anywhere solo

5) Are you an obsessive ADR maker (I know a few already-) or do you go with the flow? I'm pretty obsessive... I just made a new one this morning :rotfl:

6) Do you plan your park days based on EMH? If so, do you avoid them or go to them? I based our MK days off of the early morning emh, we're going to them

7) What is the best souvenir you have ever gotten from Disney? don't remember

8) Do you book standard rooms or go for "the views"? standard

9) Have you ever gotten a towel animal? If yes, what was your favorite and where did you stay? never stayed on site, hoping for one on this trip!

10) What is your favorite character meal and why? we'll see! we've got 4 planned!
