Brook Thanks for posting this information...at that time of day having lunch included would make sense...hopefully there will be a good character interraction....:confused3

I would agree 2-3 makes for a nice tea time. BUT if they are going to charge $46 for a lunch (what it was previously) and then change it to only offer a cupcake and a cup of apple juice but still charge the same amount ... it just stinks if you ask me :rolleyes1

I can't get it confirmed about how long the characters actually interact but from what I have read on TGM and a few other very recent reviews ... the characters do not stay very long AT ALL from what they used to :sad2:
I do NOT KNOW THIS FOR FACT ... I am just going by what I am reading. I will know come July and will be able to report back our experience. I was tempted to cancel but like I said, SAvannah has her heart set on going.

GF newbie here!!

I just made a ressie for a 3 day stay at GF with a "garden view" room. Can someone tell me what views a "gardenview" include and maybe make a suggestion as to a location I would like? Does garden view include pool view?? If not, what catagory do I need to get for that?

I'm also maybe considering a lagoon view- what exactly is a lagoon view? I asked all these qusetions to the CM, but he really couldn't tell me anything.

ANY INFO would really be appreciated!

hill6 I missed your post before..so glad to hear that you had a good trip!:) Cant wait to see the rest of your pics!!! That is the next best thing to being there...

Brook You are right about that if they decreasing the offerings then decreasing the price would be the thing to do...but maybe it will be better than expected...who knows...:confused3

DD and I are doing the regular afterenooon tea...:hippie:

HI Karebear1 and WELCOME!!! :flower3:

Gardenview at the GF can be a view of the grounds, the pool or even of the marina! All of the buildings are in close proximity to each other and the main building...my personal favorite GV is the courtyard pool view from Boca Chica(so yes GV does include a view of the pool...)...you can see the pool and the main building which is beautiful to look at any time but especially in the evening... a few pages back post #540 k&a&c's mom gave a terrific description of where all of the buildings are located...I think you will find that helpful! Have a great stay at the GF!:)

We are kind of in the same boat our daughter really wants to go. She will be going around the 30th of july, I can't remember off the top of my head. Would you post a review of how it went. I think Disney gets a little bold and pushes the limits enough to make everyone mad, but not enough that they won't go. Thanks so much!

karebear I just realized that you asked about lagoon view too...I think lagoon view is of the other areas of Seven Seas Lagoon...like views towards the Poly...maybe the CR...not postive on this because we have never booked that view...we really do love the GV at the GF :lovestruc

probably a stupid question but.........Does anyone know where the Lodge tower rooms are located?

probably a stupid question but.........Does anyone know where the Lodge tower rooms are located?

Not a stupid question at all...the lodge tower rooms are located in all of the outer lodge buildings...they have an additional seating area with a small sofa,a chair and an additional televison...a nice bit of extra space added on to a regular room...this is also a seperate booking category...

So, if I booke a GV room for late August, I can request a marina view at either Conch Key or Sago Cay? I'd be thrilled with either of these!

Just got back from a great trip to the GF. Our room was absolutely amazing, direct theme park view in Sago Cay. Loved the privacy of the building and yet how close it was to Gasparilla's. Very peaceful location. One gripe, if I could find one, was how crowded the courtyard pool is everyday. You could never find a chair in the afternoon and there were towels everywhere. NO ONE cleans up after themselves. C'mon people, it takes two seconds to scoop up your towels. Not to mention it seemed like there were more towel returns than trashcans so no excuses not to clean up. New favorite drink at the pool bar is the Pina Co'lava. Pina Colada with raspberry puree and Bacardi Razz Rum. Delicious! Had two great meals at Narcoossee's, too. Overall, a great trip to the GF. :thumbsup2 Okay, picture time:

Great pictures, Misti! One thing that I still wonder about, they never did change the wallpaper at the vanity area when they renovated. Still shows the remains of the prior room themes.

The 2 Bedroom Suite was a few doors down from us and the mousekeeper was kind enough to let me take pix. :goodvibes Honestly, for almost $2K a night, I wasn't very impressed. It's basically two regular rooms at either end with a living/dining room in the middle. The patio is amazing, however.

There was a bedroom with two queen beds at the other end of the suite. Again, just a regular room with a connecting door.

Very, very nice pics Misti. Glad you had a fun time. Your room view is amazing. So nice that you got a corner room :thumbsup2 The view of the Contemporary and BLT across Seven Seas Lagoon is particularly awesome.

Edited to add: ITA about people not putting up their towels. It drives me nuts!

Lovely pictures, Misti. :goodvibes

I agree about the corner room....it looks awesome. :cloud9:

Thanks! I know, I noticed that too!! Honestly, I didn't notice much different besides the flat screen/console. Generally looked very similar to me. Loved that they are adding the curved shower rods. It does make the tub area seem bigger. I know it doesn't go with the Victorian theme but I kinda wish they were doing the duvets like at the BC. I'm not a fan of bedspreads. But, I'm not complaining. The room was gorgeous!! My mom loves the lace sheer panels on the slider. And the new chair/ottoman they added to the rooms was really, really comfortable.

Thanks! I got lucky with the corner. The resort wasn't operating at full occupancy so I'm thinking that's how I managed a great room. It was a fabulous surprise. :goodvibes
