Very nice shot!

Hi everyone,

Can someone tell me which building you need to be in for Magic Kingdom views please?

Is it BOCA CHICA?

Thanks

JohnnySharp2 I just wanted to add to what k&a&c'smom said.
Looking at Praline3001's photo above, you see Sago Cay on the left and Conch Key on the right. If you could see even further to the right, you would see Boca Chica. So you can see how all of those buildings would have nice Castle/theme park views from their Theme Park View rooms :wizard:

Very nice shot!

Thanks, fireworks are not so easy to photograph I quickly found out LOL

Here are a few photos of a sunrise morning. Nothing better than sipping your good lounge coffee (not that nescafe stuff) and watching the sunrise over the GF :goodvibes

GOOD MORNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the replies, Conch or Boca are probably our preferred choices as we would also like to be close to one of the pools. :)

Sounds like a good request, JohnnySharp2.:goodvibes

Brook, I'm really enjoying all the photos.

We're fans of GF Cafe, too. We have lunch there every trip and finally tried breakfast after k&a&c'smom told me how good it is. She's right!:thumbsup2

Brook - those fireworks shots look better than any I have ever gotten! very nice. Also, I think I will be booking GF Cafe as well - I think I need some of that onion soup! Maybe the night of the Christmas party I will get an early res and then head over there, or possibly our last night. Thinking of getting just a small cake for my DS birthday as well. From what I understand ( I think) I can just order one when we check in for dinner? It will just be a small standard cake.

Yes, you can order the small standard cakes at the podiums.
I am really really hard on myself when it comes to my pictures... I have studied and have seen so many FANTASTIC fireworks shots ... I guess I know enough about photography to not be happy with my photos LOL

The only reason I even put them on here is because people were asking about the view (minus my zoom) of the main building view of the fireworks.

If you book a room in RPC, are the MK views by request only? I am planning my 10 year anniversary trip and am considering RPC/CR split - the CR mainly to get the amazing theme park view for the 4th of July fireworks, then we'd switch to the GF RPC. But if I can get a MK view in RPC, then maybe I'll just do the whole stay there???

Thanks for any tips!

Yes. It would be request only BUT I'm sure they'd try their best to accommodate you, especially for an anniversary :lovestruc

I've read before on the DIS, (I think it was TammiMcMan?) that there are only 18 standard rooms in RPC w/ MK views, so this gives you an idea of how difficult it might be to get one... On the other hand, you could get your MK view "fix" at CR and then end your trip at the GF and just enjoy the resort and its amenities princess: Good luck!

Can you book the deluxe RPC rooms on line? Do they have MK views? Are there any rooms that you can book in the main building that guarantee a MK view?

Thanks!!!

You can book deluxe RPC rooms online. There are two kinds of deluxe rooms. The deluxe standard rooms, with two queen beds and a sitting area; these have either courtyard views or themed pool/wedding pavilion views. Max. occupancy is 4.

Then there are the deluxe king rooms, or honeymoon rooms - there are two different types of these rooms (both have a max occupancy of 2). The rectangular ones on the second floor have views of the castle, balconies and jacuzzi tubs. The octagonal, or turret, king rooms are in the towers on floors 3, 4 & 5, with wrap around windows, no balcony and various views - and are larger, with a very nice walk-in closet. There are a couple of these rooms that have a window that looks out over the courtyard pool to the castle, but only a couple; the rest have windows that overlook the courtyard, themed pool, and wedding chapel.

You can book a deluxe king room if there are only two of you; that would probably give you the best odds of getting a MK view in the main building. It is by request only whether you get the turret or 2nd floor rooms, so you still may have a chance that you won't get a MK view. But a much smaller chance, I'd say.

Good luck with your planning!:goodvibes

BCV23 - isn't the breakfast at GF Cafe wonderful?! We really love the stuffed croissant and lobster eggs benedict, as I've mentioned many, many times! ;) And DD is in love with the lattes.

Does anyone know how much notice Private Dining needs for ordering chocolate strawberries? It has been a while since I've ordered them, and I was planning on calling 24-hours in advance. I think that is enough time, but does anyone have recent experience? Thanks!:cutie:

My DIL and I split those two dishes last trip. So good. :cloud9: We'll have to try the lattes next time. Thanks again.

I'm interested in the answer to this, too. :surfweb:

hello! just back from another wonderful stay at the grand in the main building. We celebrated my birthday and had all kinds of pixie dust! I will try and get some pictures up soon. It was an all girls trip and so much fun! :wizard:

I know they say 24 hour notice but I ordered them a few hours before eating when I had a surprise visit from my brother and his family. I had them delivered with a castle topper at GF cafe for my nephew as he LOVES those chocolate strawberries. I also know they make a bunch of them for the CL lounges each night. I am not PROMISING anything and I would at least try and give the 24 hour notice but I have been able to swing it with a 2 hour notice this past trip...

Can't wait to hear the details.

Thanks for the info. The little castle cake is so darling in its own right.

My DBF is drooling over pictures of the chocolate glass slipper w/ the strawberries. Isn't this a dessert at 1900? Could we have it delivered to our room at the Grand, or even better, to our little Anniversary dinner at Citricos? If so, does anyone know about price and advance warning? Much appreciated!

Ohhh Boy, you can't post pictures like that and not tell us which buildings....

:)

How is the Main building, did the construction effect you, bother you??...fill us in...
Thank you so much for the pictures.

Angela
