OK, rant over, sorry about that. It is just that over here teachers are expected to do so much and are not really respected as a profession. At the moment I am seriously thinking about finding another job, but I love helping my kids and am not qualified to do anything else (my graduate degree is in music and my instrumental playing is no where near what it used to be. At university I would practice my trumpet for 8 hours a day every day. Now I'm not sure that I have played it at all in the last 8 weeks!!)

I have been playing the trumpet since I was 9. I've never practiced for 8 hours in one day.

I used to play a trumpet tpp, in another life..."Tie A Yellow Ribbon 'Round The Old Oak Tree" we used to call "Rope a Yellow Robin". I must have practiced that 500 hours. It was the one song we played in a competition while I was in band. We DIDN'T win, I still have the trumpet, haven't picked it up in years....

My sis used to practice the clairnet and eventually several other instruments for at least 8 hours on weekends and maybe 4 hours minium on weekdays when she was in middle and high school. In college, the hours increased because her major was in music performance.

Good morning all. The weather is awful again here today. It is raining really hard. But I am up early as I have jobs to do. I need to go to the DIY store for a few more bits and then go food shopping. My SIL is coming to visit today until tomorrow which will be nice. I was going to go to the garden centre this afternoon to get a few plants for the front of my house but don't think so in this weather!!
Could you possibly spare some PD for Pete today. He has to do see a toe surgeon today as his toe wound is not healing. At least any work they do today though will be under anasthetic, all the work he has had done so far hasn't been!!

Oh well, I guess I need to get going. I better find my waterproof jacket and venture out into the wet garden and feed the bunnies.

Have a great day everyone.

Could be just me:rolleyes: that gets confused... oh well..

Eric's party was great but long... the kids were sent to bed at midnight, it took them a while to settle down and then by 4 am they were back at it.. we made tem pancakes for breakfast but they had already had 7 million cookies at 4 am , so no one wanted any...

Sorry it is pouring DanaUK.. ( can't find an umbrella smiley for you) have a fun time with SIL... PD for Pete's toe.. let us knw how it goes.

It's a new day of a new week.....anybody else think of Monday morning as a chance to 'do it right this time' ?? I've got some weekly goals that WILL GET MET!! SO easy to say when work/family/school hasn't thrown you any curves yet, huh? But I've been awake 90 mins and so far things are on schedule

Hey geffric, I'm with you on keeping track on two threads. Let's just all come home and play nice. I promise to ignore anything that annoys me.....well, maybe I reserve the right to speak my mind once every 2000 posts!

Hope everyone's week gets off to a great start and may alll your goals be met!:sunny:

 I got a email coupon from Ghiredellis for a buy 1 get 1 free sundae... guess i will just have to take a cab there at lunch and eat 2 sundaes...:teeth: unless my chocolate sista can meet me there??

or I could be a good MOM and take the kids:rolleyes:

First facts. The people...Oldest to youngest
Mom, Dad, Jean, Nicole(Friend of Jean), Julie, Kevin. Mike and his wife Jen flew seperately.

I left for the airport around 8:00a.m. and arrived in Florida by 1:30 p.m. We then rented a white Grand Caravan that would fit 7 people on its own but would have to fit 8. Anyways We arrived at WL and ate at the Roarin Forks before we would check in and go to our rooms. We met my brother and my sister in-law and went to the villa that is at the very end of the longest hallway ever practically. We waited in there and relaxed while it most likely had rained. We went to the MK the first night by a Ferry Boat. We arrived and went on such rides as Splash Mountain and Buzz Lightyear. We ate at Cosmic Rays in Tomorrowland and listened to wishes while we ate. After we left and the line for the slow moving WL boat line was HUGE. And there was no Bus to the WL either.:earseek: So instead of waiting in that line we ended up taking a Monorail:D to the TTC and taking a bus from there to the WL.:faint: While on that bus though these really loud and dumb Blonds (No offense to any blonds out there) were talking on the bus. Not shutting up on this tiring and late night
yawn1.gif
. So my sister Julie says for someone to shush them. So right to them I go Ssshhhhhhh!! They look at me and on the rest of the bus ride they went Tsshhhhhh right at me. I wanted to scream at them but I didn't want to be kicked off the bus by the Bus Driver. We got off and went to our villa. I ended up sleeping on 2 chairs out of choice because there wasn't enough room. I didn't sleep half bad either.:p

This has been MonorailDude with Day 1 out of 10 1/2 days of Trip Report information. Thank You.

I'll be on the next flight out! :p

Well the day of the Hurricane started off by me and my family waking up. We watched the t.v and found WDW was only open until 1. DTD was closed as well. So we ended up staying in our Villa at the WL the whole day.We watched the weather channel and pixar movies they played repeatedly the whole day. We went to the lobby and ate Roarin Forks a few times. When we were going to eat there for dinner it was closed. They locked up everything and this time forced us to stay in our rooms. My Dad had to try to sneak into the store since it was barely still open. Because of him we were able to eat pizza in our room. The weather was bad rain and strong winds but it wasn't really even noticed.
Will finish it later because I have to go. Bye.

:wave2:

Busy, busy, busy... one thread would be fine with me... Less to try to catch up on, but whatever is okay, too. Don't want to miss out on anyone! Hopefully I'll have more time to DIS when school starts on Wednesday.

PD to Pete's toe and to everyone else's toes, too.

be back later after math tutor...

MonorailDude your trip reports sound great. What happened next?

Hi all,
39CINDERELLA... I sent you a PM about the October trip.....

:bounce:

First thing: I definitely like the idea of having one thread. I don't even look at the other one because I don't have time!! and I'm probably missing tons of stuff though...

Second thing: Good trip reports MonorailDude!! I can't wait to read the next part!

Third thing: There really isn't a third thing... but oh well!! Hehehe!

I have a question, okay it's a guy question....;) :p  How do you get a guy to notice you? I only know his first name, and he's in my pre-AP Chemistry class, and he's not all that cute, but he's not ugly either, but he's like, super smart, so that's definitely a plus!!! ::yes:: He sits on the oppisite side of the room from me, so it's not like I could drop my pencil or something... HELP!!!! From anyone at all really...

TIA!!!!!!!!

ETA: This doesn't mean I give up on Orlando Bloom, I'm just killing my time right now!! ;) hahahahahahahaha!! Orlando will come around, eventually. He'll be like, "Oh, there's this one girl in a north Texas town that is my soul mate who's first name is BLANK and last name is BLANK (changed to protect the innocent!! hehe!)I must dump what's her name and go find BLANK BLANK!!!" I can dream, can't I?
