I'm just sitting here, drinking some coffee, wishing I didn't have to go into the office, and could head out to California today, instead of tomorrow But I suppose I can survive one more day at work......especially since it's payday! 24 Hrs and I can play with Shamu. And I feel like a jet-setter just flying over for one day.

QOTD......what would be your ideal one day jet-setter experience? (Yes, we'll pretend the concords still fly if it makes a difference....especially for Danauk).
I have a gal-pal whose boyfriend of the moment flew her in a private plane to Palm Springs, hired a car and took her shopping at the giant outlet mall there, had dinner and flew home! I think she dumped him later because he wasn't 'cute' enough!?!?!?! (OK, I don't remember the real reason....but that is one she's used before.)

So I'm gone for a few days and ya'll up and move to Australia!
The semi-tropical storm I spoke of before leaving for the beach last Sunday turned into full blown Hurricane Alex and although it didn't make landfall, we still got very strong winds and torrential rains. It was pretty scary there for a bit and some of my Atlanta cousins went kinda but Jordan and I have been thru several hurricanes before and kept our cool Definitely lots of excitement but glad to be home...too much family togetherness for me

I've always wanted to travel to Australia and you've found us the perfect spot, not to mention the most beautiful landscaping as always!

geffric Way to go chocolate sister! Thanks for making sure we had a safe spot to store our precious chocolates, now I need to make sure you didn't do too much "tasting" while making the big move How is your father doing and how is that cat enjoying his PERMANENT vacation at your house?

I don't really know what I did to make everyone so mad at me.

(And I'm not just talking about teenagers.) If it's so wrong to voice my thoughts and opinions, well so be it. Have a nice life everyone cuz I'm out of here and you won't hear from me or have to put up with me anymore. I have more than enough to do to keep me busy without putting up with anyone that can't handle a bit of honesty. It's time I start putting my time and energy into stuff that's really important anyway, like getting ready for a baby's arrival.

Dad update.. he is home from the hospital.. and we will see what happens next.. he has an appt with a pulmanary specialist in the next week or two.

Hey [COLOR=FF0033]cadburysmom[/COLOR] it sounds like your trip to the beach was kind of scary!! I remember we were caught in a hurricane when I was on holiday on a Spanish island when I was younger. I remember the hotel staff running around getting all the furniture in from the balcony and the pools having huge waves in them!!

[COLOR=339900]ibouncetoo[/COLOR] are you going to the Sea World in San Diego? I went there 2 years ago on my first visit to the USA (we went to Las Vegas, stayed with my friend in Arizona for a while and then went with her to visit her mum in San Diego for 5 days.)

QOTD: I think I would fly to Las Vegas, go to the indoor skydiving centre, take a helicopter trip to the Grand Canyon, ride the Manhatten Express coaster at the New York New York, watch the Bellagio fountains, do some shopping in the malls at the Venetian, Aladdin and the Forum shops. Then catch a show (or 2) and have a quick look walk through the nice hotels.

Is that enough to do in a day?

Bichon Barb have fun at your wedding later. What position does your son play in soccer (football to me! Now the 2 male teachers have left our school I have to help with the football team. I guess I need to learn how to ref some matches pretty quickly (as well as the rules for tag rugby!) Perhaps I should just stick to my netball team

OK, back to the DIY. I think Pete has finally started on building the wall. I'll have some painting to do soon. I choose a colour called pool blue. Or as my best friend said when he saw the sample pot, "Isn't that the colour the Beach Club is painted?" He was correct, but I didn't think of that when I bought it (honnest!!)

[COLOR=339900]ibouncetoo[/COLOR] Have a great time at Sea World! Did you see the video of the killer whale who tried to drown his trainer during one of the shows? I saw bits of it taken by a tourist's video camera and you could hear the father telling his small son NOT to look because they were afraid the trainer would be eaten before their very eyes! I have AOL and it was featured on the week's most exciting videos.

[COLOR=FF66CC]llebrekniT[/COLOR] Cute new siggie picture....Holly and Daniel are as cute as ever but that was some outrageous skin infection you had during that trip, girlfriend ....sure hope you didn't pass it on to Holly when you leaned over to take a bite of her!

I don't have any problem with anyone voicing their opinions (I won't speak for anyone else). However, I don't think anyone has the right to tell anyone what to post/what not to post. For me personally, I tend to think that no one owns any thread & anyone can post whatever they want as long as it doesn't go against the guidlelines of the DIS.

We love the Disney Cruise and have always looked for the cheapest dates, rebooked onboard to get the onboard credit, then transferred our rsvn to Dreamsunlimited to get the rebate, except for the first time of course Have you visited the Disney Cruise thread? There's lots of great info over there with many who know far more than me. We usually take the 7 day eastern route on Magic and have never done land/sea. Good luck!

Well said! I totally agree with Deadheadbelle

I consider all of you good friends and have always felt free to say whatever and have always enjoyed the conversations here. In fact, this is kind of my "happy place" and many here have offered great advice and given me much support when I really needed it.

With that said, I would hate to see anyone leave this thread

Please understand that she wasn't meaning to tell you to go away. she was repeating the brew-ha-ha from earlier this year for the sake of [COLOR=CC0000]Mad4Mickey[/COLOR]. It is a sad thing when it looks like your friends from your "Support Structure" are going for your jugular. I realize that you, [COLOR=9900CC]oddball27[/COLOR], might feel she was attacking you personally, but she really wasn't. She is a very kind and loving person who cares greatly for you.

That being said, she is frustrated and upset. I hope that eventually she will return to the TAGLIARCHY, but as of this morning she has removed all of the bookmarks from the TAGLIARCHY.

Deadheadbelle, she never told them not to post, or what to post. She told them that the reason so many people appeared to leave was because there were pages and pages of them repeating the same thing that wasn't saying anything. She wasn't trying to tell them what to post or what not to post. She was documenting why she felt people were leaving.

I still consider all of you my friends, and really think that this will be a non-issue in a few weeks. Please don't blast me for defending my wife. I will stick around.....
