I recently got the AP discount for our CR stay in February. We did end up with a garden wing room, which I'm totally fine with. However, what can I request as far as room location? I'd love to be on the first floor, if possible and near the walkway to the tower. Also, we have a king room. Not sure if that makes a difference. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
I would just say to request a 1st floor room and close as possible to the Tower. That way you don't have to many requests and it makes things a little easier to get them.

Does the Contemporary have the Disney movies on the beach that Poly & GF have? Thanks!

Has the CR changed their coffee pots to single pod coffee makers? Leaving in 3 weeks and may need to change my garden grocer order! TIA!

So after changing my CR TPV to a split stay, trying to change back (losing the availability of course), then changing to WL CL...I was able to score a BLT TPV studio :cool1:

It's a little more than WL CL, we are losing CL, but its a weekend trip, so we really won't be spending too much time in the lounge. Plus with F&W..that's where we will snack/eat/drink I am sure.

I reallyfell for the walk to MK, and the view :lovestruc I guess I am looking for reinforcement that I made the right choice. Just DH and I this trip......

At least I DID save some over CR TPV, right???

I stayed in the Garden wing about a month ago. We had ordered a bag of Starbucks coffee from GG. Only to find out when we got there, the room had a Keurig K-cup coffee maker. There was always an ample supply of K-cups left each day by the room attendant. Usually 6-8 cups.

There was a Keurig coffee maker? Not just a regular four cup?

I feel silly for asking this, but is there any drawer sapce in the tower rooms at CR. I can't tell from the pictures. It looks like there is a very small two drawer dresser by the desk, but I can't seem to find a good picture of it.

I can't relax on vacation if I have to live out of a suitcase. I just want to be prepared if I need to bring hanging shelves and extra hangers.

From what others have said the Studios at Bay Lake Tower are the smallest among the DVC Resorts and the Rooms at the Contemporary are even bigger.

However since it's just you and your husband going for a weekend then you should be ok with what you now have.

I really messed up losing the CR TPV, but I guess I am wondering more if you would pick BLT TPV Studio over WL CL. My DH is happy. I keep going on and on about the walk to MK. And I am going to make it back to the room JUST to watch the fireworks from the balcony :cloud9: My heart tells me that for a short trip the location will save so much on travel time since we are mostly at MK and Epcot (mostly MK.....that's my favorite ) I don't think the studio is too much smaller than the WL room, it said 300 vs 330 sqft.

Thanks for your help...I will keep looking for a CR TPV to open with the discount, if it doesn't...it's still all good. I still have the TPV :thumbsup2

There are two deep drawers in the closet. I like to put items in there that are fine getting wrinkled like underwear, socks, workout attire and swimsuits. There are also two wide/deep drawers near the bed and shelves in the two closets that you can put heavier items, like pants. Here are my photos of all the drawer space:

Since you are only going for a weekend I would take BLT TPV over the WL CL because of having the walkway to the Magic Kingdom and Resort Monorail. Now while it's hard for me to say not staying Club Level because I think it's worth it, for a couple of days I don't think you would get much use out of the lounge if you plan to spend a lot of time at the parks.

Can anyone tell me if they sell swimming goggles in any of the gift shops? We leave tomorrow and the ones we normally use broke and it is out of season now here!
In all our past trips they have stocked swim goggles for kids. But, our last stay at the CR was last Christmas.

:sad2: Oh, pas130. You've left me speechless - a first...

The BLT Studio is about 50 SF smaller than the WL room and about 135 SF smaller than the CR rooms. Since you asked, I would NOT have changed to a BLT studio from the CR or from the WL/CL. WL/CL is the same price as a Tower BLV room, so I think those choices are a better value. Since it's just the two of you (and since you asked:laughing:), I think that the WL (even w/o CL) or a CR room is a more romantic setting for your anniversary than a BLT studio.

Oh, and did you forget that a few pages back when you were booked at the CR, I told you NOT TO CHANGE THIS RESERVATION? Well, I kind of knew though that even all CAPS wouldn't stop you:rotfl:

Thank you so much for the response. It really helps having a picture of what the inside of the drawers look like. I am getting so excited about our stay in January.

I like the "extra special feeling" from CL. But I really really wanted TPV, so when I saw BLT it was hard to pass up.

I know. I know. Story of my life. I never listen.:guilty: There are NO rooms at CR or BLT left with the discount, and of course my WL CL room is available...for the moment. I am keeping this one. If CR TPV opens back up I am all over it. Trust me. It's all good, DH and I will be happy :goodvibes I am sure BLT will be great.

Oh WOW :woohoo: Now you're talking. DH and I LOVE our Keurig. Can anyone confirm if BLT has the Keurig coffeemakers? We are staying in a 1BR Oct 27-31 and would like to know if we should bring some K Cups? :confused3

First timers here and staying in the CR w/ guaranteed MK view and getting so darn excited. We've been planning since January. Do they have the Keurig coffee makers at the CR tower rooms as well? Yum!

Two questions:

1. What's the best way to get to Il Mulino restaurant from CR and about how far in advance should we leave for a 7:15 ressie?

2. Is there anywhere that will deliver wine to the resort prior to us getting there like GG will deliver groceries? I think I know the answer but, wanted to ask anyway.

I actually called today and the CR Tower rooms have the pods...BUT you can request a regular coffee maker too...HTH

Also curious about what kind of coffee makers are in the tower rooms. We usually bring coffee and filters from home but if the they have Keurig I can skip it.

We posted at the same time :goodvibes

Aren't the pods used in regular coffee makers? or when you say pods, do you mean the Keurig's? :confused3
