Putting -Dashes- around room titles in VMK is a God given privilege of the dicitionary and with knowing VMK's track record, the option will be taken away from blatant abuse eventually. Why do I use them? I don't even want to know how many rooms I've got going through -VDWQ- and other type rooms, and when scrolling such a massive list, you need a way for main rooms (ride lobbies) to stand out over regular sectioned rooms, that, and for other people to see that yes, this is a -Ride-. Putting -Dashes- around cute or boot or something you've made or to emulate what someone else is already doing (yes, that means copying) is terrible abuse of the option. Think, "Will these dashes make me cool?" I can save you alot of time in the thought process by saying, probably not. They will, however, reveal a certain level of desperation, depending on context of course.

i think i do it mostly for warnings and to makes the desciption more clear. Like for say a room named: Yoho, A Pirates Life For Me and then people are wondering is it a Quest, Game, or just a Room?
So when i do that i would put: Yoho, A Pirates Life For Me - Quest -
OR whatever it really was.

See that looks cool. I've got one that reads, -A Pirates Quest For Me-. Your placement of dashes completely seperates our titles from looking alike, and still both serving the same purpose.

But unfortunately (especially after this exposure) we will now see someone pull something like, -Virtual Pirates Quest For Me-.. I call this coat tail surfing!

A joke between friends and I, is why not just use every keyword you can to make yourself popular?! Just make a room titled:

-Free VMK Narnia Inferno Virtual Trades With Quest Ride-

that should make you the envy of all the kingdom!

It's a matter of respect of amongst the underground VMK community, meaning it's a level of respect that's held amongst players.

I remember when my buddy magicseeker had made his wishing tree room, I thought cool! I want to make a tree woot! Only thing was my room title was missleading, and was alot like his. Only difference was I managed to turn a game out of the tree while his was just straight up awesome. Needless to say, he gave me a piece of his mind and thank God I was able to show him the game, I almost lost a good friend that day. And yes, I changed the title entirely.

my bad, it was more a figure of speech.. meaning it's not something that should not involve vmk officially. A level of respect amongst players that could be reached.

But yes, -Trivia Team- can be considered underground.
