@Captain_Oblivious You're being paged.... Bring PB!

Hope your computer gets repaired soon!!

F is for FOOD FUN!!!!

My DD was gracious enough to leave her laptop while she takes a midterm. YAY!! This gave me the whole afternoon to tally points and get this update up before I begin a VERY long 8 night run of shifts. I'll be short and to the point (yes, I'm fine) and keep the verbage to a minimum. I have a garden to put in today so I can make sure my back is totally blown out before I spend 14 hours a night for 8 straight nights on it.
:crutches::rolleyes2

With that, here's what Brook managed to get for me:

10/10- Raglan Rd.; 6:00

10/11- NO ADR

10/12- NO ADR (Still may try a walk up at the Wave)

10/13- Coral Reef; 6:15

10/14- NO FF (Here is the NEW PLAN for my BIRTHDAY DINNER... Because of a time crunch with Pat and Marv's arrival that evening, we came up with the idea of hitting up Captain's Grille at the Yacht Club at 6:40, so that they don't have too far to go. I made the ressie for 10 people, so plenty of room to still join. So far, it's me, my 2 kids, Pat, Marv and Tanya. (IF FF opens up, and I'm still hoping it does, I will change over to there!) Afterwards, we'll all head on over to the Yeehaw Bob 9:30 show where Rosie and Gang will meet up with us. It'll be quite a party!!

10/15- NO ADR (Edison I'm REALLY hoping will be open!) And as I"ve said, I will go back and adjust scores if it opens up.

AND Victoria and Alberts; 7:00 Ressie for 2. STILL looking for a dinner partner!!!

10/16- Via Napoli; 6:30 (ANYONE is welcome for this! and La Cava to follow)

10/17- Sanaa; 12:30

10/18- BOG; 1:35

10/19- Artist Point; 7:05

YES!! I DID call Brook for a Breakfast at Boma- 4 of you got the bonus points for that. It's for 8:45 which will get the kids on the bus by 10:45 no problem.

FYI- I also was having her try for a Yak and Yeti and Skipper's Cantina, but those were last minute and I didn't mention them or put them in the contest. LO AND BEHOLD! She could get NEITHER ONE! Skipper's, we suspect, is going to walk ups only, at least at lunch, and she has NO idea what's going on with the Yak It Up. Like I said, the YIU wasn't a big deal because she DID get our Wanyama Tour! Here's the e-mail she sent just a bit ago about her experience on the phone with the agent:

"Arrive at the Jiko Wine Room at 3 PM, tour starts at 3:30 PM - you cannot be late
Everything is included in the above price, wine, food, tour, gratuity, etc.
The Cast Member was GUSHING about this tour, she has done it and sent her daughter on her honeymoon. She said over and over again it's worth every single penny and said they don't get a discount on it! lol Sounds like you are in for a TREAT! All her chatter about it made me want to book it for myself!
This does show in your MyDisneyExperience account as Jiko - Wanyama Safari Dinner"

Also got Seeds Tour booked. Lots and LOTS happening here with planning. And still lots of stuff to do!

Soooo, yeah. I'm pretty excited!!!! Yessiree!!!
:jumping1:

Back to business...

So for right now, the correct answer is C; I only got 6 of my 8 (no Edison/ no FF) (I actually wasn't counting Coral in my count when I posted the contest as I didn't have a time, and was only kinda, sorta thinking about going, but I factored that in and gave points anyway.) But there is a good chance they could be added later... we'll see. I won't take point away, but will add. I admit it was dicey and wishy-washy this round. I'll make sure that doesn't happen again. And like I say, tons of points, to 10 in this round, won't make a difference. I imagine it'll only affect 3 or so folks. (That was a public service announcement for the ummm..... more competitive of my lot here. ;) ).

Contests are not easy to run, but it adds a ton of fun and I thank everyone for playing ROUND 1!! I followed Ponzi's lead (example) and while I spent about 2 hours tallying points, PLEASE look over your score to make sure it is right. I gave the bonus points for times if you were within 5 minutes of what I actually got.

mom3sonstt- 35
Irene_dsc- 35
pkondz- 5 (WTH?! Looks like you do as well as I do in your contests! Go back and check me!)

Andy- 35
Marv- 25
Chrystmasangel- 25

Spring is here and I'm anxious to get my hands in the dirt and grow some stuffs. I'll be on as I can and check my phone. :)

(yes, I'm fine)

Are you sure??

Well that certainly sounds encouraging!

pkondz- 5 (WTH?! Looks like you do as well as I do in your contests! Go back and check me!)

I believe you.
I like to start off slow... and finish... slower.

I hope you are all doing fabulously. I'm sitting on my deck with this view:

Beautiful!
I hope do be sitting on my deck overlooking water this summer too.
I have to wait for 1. me to open the pool which I don't think I'll do until June and 2. me to finish building the deck which I also hope to be done by June.

Are you sure??

Oopsies. My mouth ran away with me. Again. ;)

Sounds like a great plan!

Wait......

Not doing too badly. Feet up, wine in hand. Gotta rest up, ya know.

I believe you.
I like to start off slow... and finish... slower.

I have great faith in you!

June's a long way's off. But probably too chilly until then anyway. Yeah, about decks.... we have to RE-build ours this summer too. It's going to be super expensive and hugely labor intensive. 1) We have other things we want to spend the $$ on, and 2) No one really wants to start. That, and even my engineer DH is going to need some consulting on how to stabilize the bank first. But decks overlooking water? That's where it's at! Let's wish us both luck!

Too late, my kids ate it all. Drew just calls it "butter".

I actually had thought of that as what I'd wanted to post as my first picture, but it was further back in the PBucket queue than the others, so it lost out. This is a fantastic picture!

Of COURSE!!!

Ugh! You have gotten in three updates since I was able to get over here to comment! I wanted to respond to all your stuff, but I'm like you mostly with my phone. With our trip leaving in less than 7 days, for some reason Fran doesn't want me here on the DIS and wants me to do stuff to forward our move and other crisis issues that she has determined. I'm trying to get to one TR per day in preparation for my trip. I'm not doing so good with that but trying!

I saw that you got BoG for lunch for the 19th, if you want to try and do a celebration meal for that night if @pkondz decides to come down I'm up for that even without @pkondz . Otherwise I will probably plan for us to hit the kiosks, unless some kind of special F&W menu gets announced around July or something. And even if a special menu gets announced, a DISmeet would take precedence over a special menu.

Tomorrow is our day and I only have a handful of reservations to make as I mostly plan to enjoy the festival. Ugh I have too many trips going on! Even for someone an Uber planner like me!

Just quickly...

I totally forgot to add the plan for the 19th!! I will update that soon- hopefully tonight! There is a plan, though; I think you'll like it!!!

June's a long way's off. But probably too chilly until then anyway.

Last few years I've opened it in April/May. Then it sits there eating chemicals and electricity and isn't used very much. So this year, we'll save some $$ and open it a bit later when it's more likely to be used.

Yeah, about decks.... we have to RE-build ours this summer too. It's going to be super expensive and hugely labor intensive.

::yes::

1) We have other things we want to spend the $$ on, and 2) No one really wants to start. That, and even my engineer DH is going to need some consulting on how to stabilize the bank first.

Stabilizing the bank sounds like a big job all by itself!

But decks overlooking water? That's where it's at! Let's wish us both luck!

:thumbsup2

Looks like the 19th isn't going to happen.
There's a co-worker who wants leave at that time to go to a wedding. I can't book the time on a maybe when she has a sure thing.
It's not completely out for October, but... :confused3

Wow - I can't believe my totally random guesses did as well as they did! My only strategy was to assume none of them would be exact even hours or half hours, since none of mine were, lol.

I hope your back survived the planting. For me, it was the hamstrings that were sore after my spring cleanup and planting sessions.

You did well!!! :D

Back is doing ok, but it always takes a day to go rotten on me. We'll see.... I'm sure my legs will feel it too. :)

I don't understand.
What are those green things coming out of the ground?

Wow! You're way more productive than me! I have a basil plant that has been living in my kitchen window since before I left for Mississippi and could been have been thriving outside. If I had planned it.

My kids did a lot of this work. I'm so proud of them. As I was tucking Thing 5 in last night she said, "Momma, if you're working in the garden again tomorrow, I'll help you."

I promptly took her temperature and diagnosed Kid-Gone-Nuts.
