The A-Team

I really enjoyed it! Glad I waited until the end; it addressed my one complaint about the movie popcorn:: I hadn't heard anything about there being an end scene, but it seemed like a movie that might have one. There weren't many people left in the theater. It seems it is going to get whooped pretty bad at the box office by Karate Kid. I am taking my 17 year old nephew to see it on Friday. Guess I'll be forced to look at Bradley Cooper's abs again.

One NY critic complained that the movie had "too much action".

Nonsense!

We just got back from seeing it, and I loved it! Thanks to this thread, we sat in the theater with only one other family to see the last scene. I felt like I was going to float (darn large diet coke) but it was worth it.

I loved that Brian Bloom, who was the original Dusty on ATWT (stuff my teen dreams were made of.....) back in the 80s, was the bad guy and co-writer. And it was a nice surprise to see Gerald McCraney as well-love him.

And Face, OMG, those abs.......

How family friendly was it? Is it really PG13 - like it would have been an R when the TV show was on? Or is it very much like the XMen/Wolverine PG13?

We took our 10 & 13 year old girls and we all LOVED it!!!!!!!!!!!! there is a part where they say "Alpha, Mike, Foxtrot......Adios Motherf" but that's as far as it gets so not bad at all. Nothing to adult for them and in fact DBF doesn't even remember them doing that part so it's over really fast. LOL

Now THAT is how you do a summer movie! What a fun ride it was. Mindless, blow-em-up and toss in a one-liner fun! Great casting...loved Sharlto Copley's Murdock. I watched the tv show religiously as a kid. Even named my first horse "Murdock".:lovestruc. This movie brought back all the fun memories (including my childhood crush on Face...now replaced forever in my mind with Bradley Cooper. Sorry Dirk!)

My only complaint about the movie were the idiots in theatre. Seriously, shut up! Nobody needs your running commentary throughout, trying to impress the chick you brought. SHUT UP!

Yay A-Team!!

Oh poor you.....LOL OMG I've seen him in other movies and liked him but in this one he just shone....he was a great follow-up to Dirk Benedict!! And the end after the credits was hilarious...we loved it. We laughed so much, clapped a few times and the whole theater was doing it too, definitely can't wait to see that one again!

DD turned 13 on the 10th. The only thing she really wanted to do this weekend for her birthday was go see this movie. Her party isn't for 5 weeks, due to a packed schedule.

I took Friday off, so that we could go to the midnight movie - to get as close to her b-day as possible. Talk about a packed theather!!! DD and DS15 LOVED the movie, we all 4 loved it. They have been watching episodes of the TV show on Centre for weeks now.

It has just become habit for us to stay until the end of the credits when we go to the movies. 1, we get to see anything they may have tacked onto the end and 2, it clears out the restrooms. Loved seeing the original Face and Howling Mad Murdock in the clip.

LOVED it! I had the most perfect Saturday night with a steak dinner, explosions, and Bradley Cooper's abs. I want to see it again! It made me feel like a kid again...I grew up on the original show, along with those great 80s action movies. I took my 9 year old, and he liked it, too. As far as the content, it wasn't so bad. The violence was cartoonish and he hears worse language at home :rolleyes1. I love it when a plan comes together :thumbsup2

Thanks for posting that addition at the end. We left before the credits were over, too. I've got to stop doing that!
