DAY 6 - TUESDAY

Wake at 6.30 today - now I'm really getting lazy!
Weather man on Bay News 9 says that it's going to be 90 degrees and cloudy with scattered thunder storms this afternoon. No comment!
This is an exact duplicate of yesterday in terms of the start to the day - except its Blizzard Beach instead of Typhoon Lagoon.
Coffee - talcum powdered donuts - "Healthy" Pop Tarts - and were off.
Park "Happy" in the car park (again - quite close to the front) and into BB.
We follow the same routine as yesterday except we pause to plaster ourselves with sun tan cream today. We got a bit toasted yesterday and the top of my head is so red it's beginning to resemble one of those baboons’ bums. You know the ones that are covered in hair everywhere apart from a very red backside. Anyway - after I finish plastering I put my trowel and hawk (labourer’s terminology) in the locker and were off.
Up the chairlift to Teamboat Springs (Family raft ride), Run off Racers, Toboggan slide and then the Lazy River. This is more of a "Crazy River" today as it's absolutely heaving. It does momentarily thin out when a number of Disney guys start to peer into the water looking rather concerned. "What's up?" I enquire. "Someone says they saw a snake" comes the unwelcome reply! DD is in panic mode - shrieking and thrashing about - and DW starts paddling like Matthew Pincent in the Olympics! I could have water skied behind her rubber ring!
We find the "snake" - it's actually a worm! Little girls do have a tendency to exaggerate slightly don't they?
We pause for coffee and two huge M&M cookies and then into the wave pool. I have to say that this is not as good as the pool at Typhoon Lagoon IMHO but the kids really like the "choppy water". We hang around in some very "fetching" pink rubber rings for about and hour while DS and DD swim and argue with each other like - well - like brother and sister I suppose.
We have a PS booked for later so we leave at 1.00. Which is great timing because just as we are heading out - the announcement comes over the PA system that there is a nasty thunderstorm approaching and the park may have to close. The stampede for the showers and changing rooms is a sight to behold! HA! HA!
A swift stop at Publix Town Centre on the 192 to stock up with cookies, crisps, talcum powder donuts, sweets and washing powder. Everything tastes great apart from the washing powder!
After a nosh and a nap at Bahama Bay we set off for Wilderness Lodge for our PS at Whispering Canyon.
As we are driving back down the 192 - there is a very nasty accident at one of the junctions where a car has been "T-boned" by a large truck! I guess you just don't expect to see that sort of thing here. It's such a "controlled environment" in Disney. I drive a lot slower for the next couple of days!
The Wilderness Lodge is an impressive building as you pull up in the car and once inside - the lobby is fantastic.
I check in at the restaurant at 5.00 and just as they are handing over a pager - a chap says "if you like Sir - we can seat you right now".
I'd deliberately got here early to have a look around before dinner but this is great as it means we can eat first (Always a priority!).
DW, DS and I split the Skillet Combo, DD wasn't keen on her meal (chicken drumsticks too spicy and mash not to her liking). DD however did like her dessert (Worms in the Dirt) and DS had some sickly chocolate thing along with three milkshakes (OINK!). $103 plus tip is a little expensive compared to other meals we've had but the atmosphere is great and there are lots of "High jinx" with the waiters - straw throwing - ketchup fetching - and generally trying to embarrass as many guests as possible! Some poor chap made the mistake of asking for a glass of water and ended up with a ten gallon bucket of water with a straw in it!
I try to persuade DD to join in with the "Hobby horse" race at the end but of course that was beneath her! Silly of me to ask really! What was I thinking? Oh well - maybe next time.
There is a very humorous moment when all of the staff decide to take a "Union break" for five minutes and they all pull up chairs and sit with the guests to moan about working conditions.
After the meal we stroll through the grounds and down to the boat dock to catch the ferry to Magic Kingdom. The hotel pool looks fantastic. Another mental note referring to that Lottery win and a small 3 bed suite in the DVC!
The boat journey is great - you get to see all the hotels and the Wilderness Campground as we chug along.
I expect the Kingdom to be busy tonight given the recent weather and the fact that it's the Specro-Magic Parade day. I am not wrong! It's heaving!
We ride the Tomorrowland Transit Authority train and then go on the Carousel of Progress - actually both for the first time - and then try to find a spot for the parade. About 10 minutes before the start of Spectro it really starts to rain hard. Shame really because it does detract from a lovely spectacle. At the end of the parade we make our way down Mainstreet and pause to watch Wishes in the rain.
DD is very tired and does not really appreciate any of these evenings’ activities.
I have learned another lesson today - completing everything on my schedule was great but it was too much to take in. You need to plan your days but also need to take into account the "Saturation point" for all your family members - too much today for some. I should have cut short at WL and tried to do Spectro at a later date. Oh well! We live and learn.
Tomorrow is scheduled for Seaworld and Old Town Kissimmee but I think I will ditch that in favour of a chill day. A bit of shopping and a preview of our accommodation for next week at Animal Kingdom Lodge.
We catch the boat back to WL and collect "Happy" from the car park to drive back to Bahama Bay.
The bloke on Bay News 9 says warm and sunny tomorrow with scattered showers - I'm not going to bother listening to him any more!

Still haven't found out what that flippin' honking noise is - I must ask tomorrow!
Night all.......

I dream of "a great big beautiful tomorrow"

ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

:rotfl: that's put a picture in my head that I didn't really want, thanks :rotfl:

Sounds like MK was heaving. I love Spectromagic.

You know something - you have got to find out what is causing that honking :earseek:

I agree with cyrano, the honking is deiving me nuts too, please enlighten pirate:

Tim,
Your writing is so rich with details and humor. Thanks for the smiles.
About this day being too long for all in your family to enjoy, it's been my experience that having this much fun is hard work.
