The 600+ lb Mummy robot was installed yesterday

This is what today's Orlando sentinal said. From what I understand, this is supposed to be the animatronic to put every other Disney and Universal animatronic to shame.

He's not a robot.

Rode it yesterday not bad the animatronic mummy needs a little more tweaking but getting there still in technical rehersal stage. They are still working on the weight distributsion of the trains and there timming.

Where is this audioanimatronic Mummy located? Is it in the first room you enter after leaving the loading area? I want to prepare my younger son for its appearance. We rode during TR's and while he really loved the coaster aspect, he gets scared during most of the dark parts of the attraction. A heads up would help him out, I think.

Anyone know if the Mummy will be open on sunday or monday, wanted to take little sis for her graduation present, but this is the only time we can go, is the ride open or?

Remember when you saw that Mummy with the red ballcap and the giant sarcophagus (1st scene). Yeah, that's where he is.

It will still be in Tech Rehersal, so it may or may not be open. You can check at the attraction, but it's not guaranteed to be open.

Question for the Dark Marauder


I got to see Imhotep working on sunday on one of my two rides, second ride he just stood there...Will he eventually jump on the car, I had read something to that effect awhile ago..he was awesome though.....

Damo, I've heard that the mummies in Hollywood don't jump on the car either. If true, that'd be a bummer.
