THE BACKGROUND

This is our third trip.We go to DLP every 2 years always in the winter,so we are always prepared for the cold, but hopefully it will not as bad as it was in 2009 brrrrrrr. The last two trips have been presents from Santa so the boys knew nothing about these trips until Christmas Day,so a lot of the planning has been down to me.This time they have been fully envolved from the initial booking months and months ago.It has been wonderful to hear what they would like to do and where they would like to eat.
We are staying at The Cheyenne again ......the boys love it ....from 6th Feb to 10th Feb

THE PLAN

Leave on 6th Feb on a evening Easyjet flight out of Belfast.Be picked up by EZY Shuttle ....thanks to the recommendations from many DISers :thumbsup2.Get to The Cheyenne, unpack , quick nosey about and then bed for EMH in the morning.

Monday 7th
Up early for EMH, for the past two trips Peter Pan has always been our first family ride together but unfortunately it is closed so we still haven't decided what the first ride will be,but at rope drop we will gallop to BTM as it is our family fav ;)
We want to ride POTC as it has always be closed on our visits so it will be a first and we are all really looking forward to it.We will stay in Disneyland Parc and have dinner in Planet Hollywood....Mac and J's choice.
We have also decided that on this trip we will visit all the other Hotels we have never been to Sequoia, New York or Newport Bay

Tuesday 8th
Probably do the Studios, experience TSP for the first time, tackle TOT :scared1:I don't like it very much but must be brave in front of the children:laughing: have dinner in Annettes.....McAuley's choice and plan to go on the Cityrama Coach trip to Paris that night.....This is the treat I choose for my Birthday and the boys are excited to see The Eiffel Tower

Wednesday 9th
Haven't planned anything much just go with the flow.It is also my choice for dinner this night and I am still deciding I may sway to Beavers Creek .....any feedback on this would be much appreciated:thumbsup2

Thursday 10th
Last day :sad1: Do any rides we want to do for the last time or anything we haven't managed to do....Have a late lunch at either Agrabah or Blue Lagoon if they are open....yet another decision I haven't made :confused3. Get picked up at 3.30pm by EZY Shuttle and sob silently all the way home ....:sad1::sad1::sad1:

Hope I haven't bored you too much with my ramblings but the excitement is building and I just had to get it out :cool1:

sounds soo exciting! I love those BTM photos! What a fantastic Christmas present - I did it for my girls in 2007 and then 2008 - I can remember the excitement! How did you present it to them?

Hope you have a fabulous time - and have a wonderful birthday!

Thanks Josephine I am sure we will have a ball.

The first Santa present was just a letter I typed up...the second time around around I got a bit more creative and made up a tresure hunt around the house and garden ....I had lots of clues directing them where to go and the prize at each clue was a little Disney figure. The final big prize was a golden envelope with all the details of the trip.It was great fun planning it all and the boys had great fun finding all the clues

It is really nice on this trip to have them envolved on the planning. They have been pouring over books, brochures and online menus deciding where they would like to go......Future DISers I would imagine :thumbsup2

That sounds like it was great fun...what a prize at the end! I have to say I love the planning aspect of the trip - my dh and older dd think I am nuts but the youngest and I love it - we nearly have everyday of our next trip planned! but I am not a stickler so if we change our mind the plan goes out the window!!! but it is fun and it does open your eyes to what's available rather than doing the same things each year! Sooo can't wait!

Oh my goodness nearly only 3 more days to go ....... so excited.I had to express my excitement somewhere so on this thread be it.

After 2 trips of freezing , cold , snowy weather ....brrrrr. The weather is looking pretty lovely and warm for this upcoming trip :goodvibes. I actually think I may not need to pack the ski wear.

The night time coach trip to Paris has eventually been booked after many a minute on hold listening to Disney music.

Only 1 more day to work then the packing will commence .....I just have to shout among like minded people who will understand I AM SO EXCITED :goodvibes I so hope these next 3 days go in really fast .

Sorry about my outburst but I know you will all understand .....Now breathe deeply Tracy.....ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

OMG you are nearly there! Yay soooo excited for you!
:banana::yay::yay::banana::yay::yay::banana::yay::yay::banana:

Have a brilliant time and don't forget to tell us all about it when you get back! Lots of photos too please!

Awww this looks like a fab plan, totally excited for you :woohoo: Love the BTM pic too .... I have never bought any pics of me on rides due to the highly unattractive faces I always seem to be pulling!

I am still umming and ahhhing over the Cityrama night tour, I'm thinking with the parks shutting at 7pm when we're there it could be a nice last night thing.

I would say get to POTC for rope drop one morning if it can fit in with your plan. It's sooooo close now I hope the days pass fast too, time seems to be standing still right now .... Just think 4 days time you'll be waking up in DLP :yay:

Not long now at all! Id love to hear about the Cityrama tour when you get back. How long is the flight from Belfast to CDG? I was toying with the idea of going from Belfast at some stage as easyjet seemed alot cheaper then AerLingus

Not long to go now!!!

Sound slike you have a brilliant birthday trip planned! :goodvibes

We ate at Beaver Creek Tavern on our last trip and really enjoyed it. I like the fact that you get a "proper" main course but with the flexibility of starter and dessert buffets! I am the kind of girl who hates making decisions! ;)

Have a great trip and don't forget to tell us all about it when you come back!

Easyjet flights from Belfast International are 1 1/2 hrs the only down side is that they are in the evening leaving at 18.25 so you don't get into DLP till late at night.I was shocked at the AerLingus price although their times seem better.

Thanks for the advice .I think after the good reviews I have heard we will eat here.I like a "proper" main meal too but with the choice of buffet starter and dessert :thumbsup2

I will come back and tell all about the Cityrama night tour.I thought the same with the parks closing at 6pm.The boys so want to see The Eiffel Tower and it seems a great way of doing so.

We will be there for POTC ...so excited to be getting to ride this for the first time

Have a brilliant time and don't forget to tell us all about it when you get back! Lots of photos too please!

Thanks we will and of course I will be back with a TR and piccies galore.....A DLP trip is not the same without one ;)
