Hey folks, ive been desperate to do a trip report, and cant wait any longer, so I thought id do a pre trip report now at the 50 days out mark. And then at 40, 30, 20 and 10.

So everyone let me introduce ourselves

Me – LaaLaa princess: – (24) – Chief Planner, Chief Obsessor and the Boss!
BF::MickeyMo–(24)–My BF of 7 yrs, likes WDW more than he likes to admit
Brother (16)::MickeyMo – My little brother, yes hes 16, are we mad?

A bit of history for you all to set the scene

Me and my BF have been to WDW once before, in 2005 for 2 weeks. We stayed off site and without a car, as a result I don’t think we got all Disney had to offer. When I came back I was reading forums such as DIS and I realised just how much I had missed. I was desperate to go back, to do all the stuff I didn’t get to do before.

I have recently left nursing to try my hand at something else, ive been working as a waitress til I decide what I wanna do. My wage is now 1/3 of what it was, but I earn tips and have been saving these hard. Now, at 24 I really should be saving for a deposit on a house but there is only one thing I had on my mind. Yep, you guessed it, WDW!

So back in June I booked our trip. We decided on November/December as I love Xmas. Christmas + Disney=Perfect!

As my brother is still at school, we didn’t want him missing too much so we are only going for a week. 27th November 2007-4th December 2007. We will only be doing Disney this time. No Universal or Seaworld.

I was determined to stay onsite, as I think this will make our trip so much better. Last trip, we had to rely on buses provided by our hotel. We missed a lot due to this. Didn’t get to see the illuminations, or the full wishes show. As we are on a budget, we will be staying at a value, All Stars Movies. I love the theming of the All Stars though.

Flights from Scotland to Orlando, are really poor out of peak season, so I had a hard job sorting this out. The only airline to go from Glasgow Airport has a bit of a bad reputation, so I ruled that out immediately. I got quotes from British Airways and Virgin Atlantic but I was looking at nearly £2000 for the three of us. I then struck upon the idea of leaving from Ireland. The flight to Ireland from Glasgow is only around 40mins, so not too bad. We will then be travelling to MCO from Dublin. We are able to clear US immigration in Dublin, so that was a plus point too.

So, heres my itinerary so far

11/27 0755 Leave Glasgow
0840 Arrive Dublin
1200 Leave Dublin
1550 Arrive MCO

Magical Express to All Stars Movies Resort.

11/28 ADR 0920 Chef Mickeys Breakfast
11/29
11/30 ADR 1830 Crystal Palace Dinner
12/1 MK open til 1am! Woo Hoo!
12/2 MVMCP!!!!!!!
12/3 ADR 1930 Rose & Crown Dinner. Illuminations

12/4 1830 Leave MCO
0730 Arrive DUB
1340 Leave DUB
1430 Arrive GLA

Thought id add a little picture of my planning journal i made for our trip

So far, the trip is paid in full. I have booked and paid for MVMCP. Dollars are all bought. I bought a new camera for the trip and hope to add lots of fantastic pictures to my report as well as POTD. Bought a new suitcase.

Only major thing left to buy is our park tickets. I have been saving my tips from the past 3 weeks and almost have enough for our tickets. £380 saved, tickets are £450 for 3 disney ultimate tickets. These are exclusive to UK guests. They are 14 day tickets with hopping and water parks. At the moment they are working out cheaper than a MYW with hopping for us.

So everyone, thats my first installment. Will update in 10 days time, by which time i will hopefully have bought my tickets

You sound very organized....you will have a blast it is a great time to be there...our trips will over lap for 3 days...we leave :( Disney on the 30th. But do not be sad we will be bacl Jan. 2nd for my DD 7th bday.
