The 3 best movie quotes ever

In my Universal Passholders Facebook group someone started a thread (or maybe you don't call it that on Facebook) where you quote from a movie and then add the words "due to the pandemic." Some of them are pretty funny.

There's no place like home...due to the pandemic.

I volunteer as tribute...due to the pandemic.

I saw that too and it`s pretty funny.

Frankly my dear, I don`t give a damn, due to the pandemic.
You`re gonna need a bigger boat, due to the pandemic.
Of all the gin joints in all the cities in all the world, she had to walk into mine, due to the pandemic
LOL

1. This kind of certainty comes but once in a lifetime. Bridges of Madison County
2. That's not happiness to see me, is it? A Perfect Murder
3. Woman if you want to keep that arm you better get it off my husband. Coal Miner Daughter

Maybe not famous quotes but lines from my favorite movies.

You didn't specify how long the quotes could be :)

“I’m saying this because it’s true. Inside of us, we both know you belong with Victor. You’re part of his work, the thing that keeps him going. If that plane leaves the ground and you’re not with him, you’ll regret it. Maybe not today. Maybe not tomorrow, but soon and for the rest of your life.”
“…But what about us?
“We’ll always have Paris. We didn’t have, we, we lost it until you came to Casablanca. We got it back last night.”
"…When I said I would never leave you…”
“And you never will. But I’ve got a job to do, too. Where I’m going, you can’t follow. What I’ve got to do, you can’t be any part of. Ilsa, I’m no good at being noble, but it doesn’t take much to see that the problems of three little people don’t amount to a hill of beans in this crazy world. Someday you’ll understand that.” - Casablanca

"I see in your eyes the same fear that would take the heart of me. A day may come when the courage of Men fails, when we forsake our friends and break all bonds of fellowship, but it is not this day. An hour of wolves and shattered shields when the Age of Men comes crashing down, but it is not this day! This day we fight! By all that you hold dear on this good earth, I bid you stand, Men of the West!"- Lord of the Rings - Return of the King

"I'm sorry, but I don't want to be an emperor
That's not my business
I don't want to rule or conquer anyone
I should like to help everyone if possible
Jew, Gentile, Black Man, White
We all want to help one another, human beings are like that
We want to live by each other's happiness, not by each other's misery
We don't want to hate and despise one another
And this world has room for everyone, and the good Earth is rich and can provide for everyone
The way of life can be free and beautiful, but we have lost the way
Greed has poisoned men's souls, has barricaded the world with hate, has goose-stepped us into misery and bloodshed
We have developed speed, but we have shut ourselves in
............................................
You, the people have the power - the power to create machines
The power to create happiness!
You, the people, have the power to make this life free and beautiful, to make this life a wonderful adventure
Then - in the name of democracy - let us use that power - let us all unite
Let us fight for a new world - a decent world that will give men a chance to work - that will give youth a future and old age a security
By the promise of these things, brutes have risen to power
But they lie!
They do not fulfill that promise
They never will!
Dictators free themselves but they enslave the people!
Now let us fight to fulfill that promise!
Let us fight to free the world - to do away with national barriers - to do away with greed, with hate and intolerance
Let us fight for a world of reason, a world where science and progress will lead to all men's happiness
Soldiers!
In the name of democracy, let us all unite" - The Great Dictator

It's only a flesh wound... due to the pandemic

What we've got here is failure to communicate... due to the pandemic

Momma always said...

We have unfinished business - Kill Bill

I believe this is the start of a beautiful friendship- Casablanca

if you say Trifecta one more time I’m going to murder you . Then this man can arrest me one more time for one more crime and it will be a fourfects - it’s not called that - it’s called a Cigar and I think you can only get that in Cuba. - Odd Couple

3 movie quotes that can't be unheard in certain situations:

Every time I drive into a neighboring town-
THIS IS SPARTA!!!!

Every time I can't drive somewhere-
We walk from here.

Every time directions are impossibly wrong-
You can't get thar from here.

"What hump"?

Go ahead, make my day.

Well, you know what they say: if you don't have anything nice to say about anybody, come sit by me!

and

Ouiser, you sound almost chipper. What happened today - you run over a small child or something?

See you at the party Richter!!
You'll shoot your eye out kid.
Apology accepted Captain Needa.
I think these three are my favorites of all the wonderful quotes posted here.

My three:
It's showtime, folks.
I'm not an actor. I'm a movie star.
I have come to the conclusion that one useless man is called a disgrace; that two are called a law firm; and that three or more become a congress.

Myrtle Mae, you have a lot to learn, and I hope you never learn it.
I love the Smell of Napalm in the Morning
Of all the gin joints, in all the towns, in all the world, she walks into mine.

- “Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It's a very mean and nasty place and I don't care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't about how hard ya hit. It's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done!”

- "Now, if you know what you're worth, then go out and get what you're worth. But you gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you ain't where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody. Cowards do that and that ain't you. You're better than that! I'm always gonna love you, no matter what. No matter what happens. You're my son and you're my blood. You're the best thing in my life. But until you start believing in yourself, you ain't gonna have a life.”

- "I'm your Huckleberry.”

Back in the 80s & 90s, Times Square used to be a really seedy and dangerous neighborhood, with pickpockets necklace snatchers, drug dealers out in the open, triple X porn theatres and prostitutes out, in full view, standing on street corners. The crime during that era in NYC was the inspiration for the Death Wish, vigilante movies with Charles Bronson.

Whenever I had to walk in that area I used think of this quote by Obi-Wan Kenobi, "You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy. We must be cautious."

"It takes a great deal of bravery to stand up to your enemies, but a great deal more to stand up to your friends." - Dumbledore, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone

(My other favorites were already given in various posts upthread.)

Oh yeah, I remember the area well as a teen in the 80s. Greyhound station, 42nd, all the shops, subways and parks, every other passerby asking to sell you something, 24hr illegal gambling, mass corruption, petty crime, the car carcasses on all the exit ramps, lol. The good the bad and the ugly. Looking back the stark contrast between '85 and '95 is remarkable.
