The 2014 master plan

Has anyone done the Alpine Magic trip in May? I am looking at this trip for sure.

What do you think of "Once Upon a Fairytale" followed by "Alpine Magic" then 4 days in London? Can't take it with me.

Moving the Master Plan to the top of the list. My neighbors just completed a Grand Circle River Cruise from Vienna to Amsterdam. Great pictures. If ABD adds the Imperial Cities tour back to the European tours, I am in. Time for another ABD.

I'm "in" too. Is that your prediction for the new itinerary, or could it be JUST Austria?

The area is so close( like New England )I would imagine that ABD could do multiple countries in a trip. Highway and rail systems are pretty efficent for travel over there. And because of the EU travel between countries is seamless.

I am relatively new to ABD, eagerly awaiting my first ABD trip to Scotland this August. But in anticipation of becoming addicted (or at least dividing my addiction between DCL, where I am already certifiable, and ABD, LOL), I am eagerly awaiting the 2014 announcement. What did the Imperial Cities trip include?

Thanks!

Imperial Cities which became Storybook Kingdoms in 2009 and was discontinued in 2010 included Vienna, Saltzburg and Prague. I could do that tour in combination with the Germany tour.

:wave2:Hey Beachcat,

That area of the world appeals to us for sure, but must be adults only.
Keep your eyes and ears open.

I would be all over this! I was so bummed when they discontinued Storybooks. My kids are big Sound of Music fans and dying to see Salzburg :)

Oh yes! We considered adding some days to our upcoming Germany ABD and visit Salzburg, but we are already coming in a day early. Need to get home to the pup. Lol

Now that the Loire Valley part of the French tour has been removed, is there too much repetition in both the Knights and Lights and Espirit de France tours? I have done Knights and Lights which included Versailles, the Louvre and the Eiffel Tower. I just don't want to go to Europe and think Been There Done That. I am thinking now that Austria, Germany and Switzerland are the way to go but Mont St. Michel is on my must see list. Such a dilemma. We should all have such problems.

Anyone done both K & L and Espirit de France? Too much repetition now?

I *think* I heard someone say the additional location of Loire Valley made the trip very rushed. Maybe that is why they removed it?

We did K & L last May and after reading the Espirit de France, I think we would like to revisit Paris. I felt like we just didnt see enough while there. I don't "need" to go to the top of the Eiffel Tour again, but strolling around the area would be lovely. I adored Versailles, so another look at that would be fine with me. Monet's gardens and Normandy Beach would be fabulous to see.

Of course, I also want to do the Italian Signature tour and the Almafi Coast tour and the Ireland tour,....... ;-)

The Italy Signature is discontinued but the 2014 Italy trip looks very similar.

Ok Steeles Germany, Austria or Switzerland and Northern Italy? All 3? or just 2? Still going to fly to London and take the Eurostar. Such a good ride. What do you think?

Richard - Congratulations on winning the lottery. I know that the winner has not come forward yet, but apparently it's you or Patti. I don't know that Joan and I can do all 3 trips unless you guys are treating us. That would certainly be a magnanimous gesture on your part. I don't recall exactly - What were your actual winnings?

While I have been to Zephyrhills many times, I did not buy a Powerball Ticket there. Wish I had. Just food for thought. As of August 1, 2014, we will have 1400 points for ABD. Definitely headed to Germany. Can't decide on the other ABD tour.
