They were only booking the Member Cruise and taking calls about dates from 10/2 to 10/7 today anyway.

wow..I didn't think it would sell out so quickly since it's on a bigger ship..

I'm very thankful we got a room booked. But it was a very stressful day calling:eek:
This is our first member cruise, and our first Disney cruise. I hope the extra cost for this sailing will not leave us disappointed

You should not be disappointed with this one! Besides being on the brand new ship The Dream, this cruise will be celebrating the 20th Anniversary of DVC! Should be lots of great happenings going on!

I was amazed at how quickly the new ship, which holds 4,000 passengers sold out! I am thinking they could fill TWO Member Cruises per year with no problem at all...hmmm. :)

You won't be sorry, this will be my fourth member cruise. When you factor in that your tips are included plus port charges and the exchange fee you would normally pay it really isn't that much more. The gifts are usually good, also they bring on special guest speakers and entertainment that you don't get on the regular cruise. I love that you get 2 days at castaway cay.I also prefer disney cruise line to all the others I've been on. the food , shows , etc are better. I've siled in the past with Carnival, Princess and Royal Caribbean

Thanks Happysails! Looking forward to it, now 350 days to wait :goodvibes

Woke up at 4:30amPST on Saturday morning to make sure I called in by 5am. Had busy signals from 5am - 8:30am. Finally got through and then waited another 2 hours while watching the DVC website update which cabins were getting sold out. By the time my panic got to an all time high, I got a real person on the line and after another hour, booked my cabin on the cruise.

This will be our second member cruise and we are sooo looking forward to this one! My husband is so excited, he said he's just bringing an empty suitcase to hold all the things we will inevitably buy or all the cool presents we will get. Yeah...I won't let him do that...but it's fun to watch him think he doesn't have to pack!

I did not know you could watch online as the rooms sold. Exactly how did you get there. We ended up getting rm. 5030 after quite a wait. We were working three phones all this time....smjj

The Member Cruise information page on the member website is where the booking status was. The information was not real time.

Thanks, you know, I am not so certain I would want to watch as the rooms sell out. We ended up with a catagory 5(5030) and this was not our first 3 request like they ask you to have ready, they were already sold out. Oh well, this is a very nice room and we are so looking forward to this cruise. We took the members cruise in 2008 and enjoyed it so much. We had perfect weather and the two stops to CC were great....smjj

That is amazing how quickly it sold out. To all those who are going on the cruise have a fantastic time.

perchance to dream.... that one day we'll actually get a ressie. :lmao:

Imagine this...we were sitting on the Magic eating our last breakfast before disembarking from the Transatlantic sailing and calling MS with 3 different cell phones.

Here's the good news...got through just a few minutes after 8:00 AM and was on hold for about 47 minutes. We ended up having to leave the dining room and moving to the Promenade Lounge until MS answered my call. I sat in the Promenade Lounge on the Magic booking this member cruise...how cool is that??!!!

I am so happy I was able to get through and was able to book ourselves along with my brother and SIL for their first members cruise. We are all sooooo excited!!!

Congratulations to all of you who got booked as well and look forward to sailing with you aboard the beautiful Disney Dream.:yay::yay::yay:

By the time we booked, we were far from our first 3 catagory choices also. It was nice to watch the DVC board update (even with the 20min delay) so that while I was dialing or waiting, I could quickly recalculate other options or ideas for bookings and redo my top 3 list.

When did Disney start adding in the tips. :confused3 We haven't sailed on DCL since 2004 :sad2: and at that time tips were paid on performance of the staff. If you didn't get magical treatment you didn't tip as much. Of course we tipped well on both of the cruises we took because we got excellent service. Just wondering when things changed, because we are hoping to take a members cruise in a few years.:yay:

I'm wondering if the member cruise always has 2 stops at Castaway Cay?

Don't know if it always has but in 2008 when we last went it did...smjj
