I was looking through the threads to scope out what NC DVC members are out there and found an older thread. I thought I'd start a new one so that we can find each other and share our love of DVC and NC

Our family (Me/49, DW/47, DD/18, DS/10) lives in Wilson, about 45 miles east of Raleigh and 35 miles west of Greenville.

We recently became DVC members at BLT.

We live near Charlotte and own at OKW.
ILuvMulan my family lives in the western end of the state in Murphy.
Live4Surf we love Wilmington and a little band that comes from there called Coastline. If we are not at WDW we are spending time at Topsail or emerald Isle.

Lost in Neverland, your family is WAY out west... what is really funny is that my in-laws live in Charlotte, we have a place at Lake Chatuge and when we are not at Disney or the lake for vacation,we are at usually Emerald Isle

Forgot to mention earlier that we own at AKV.

This is way too weird. I grew up on Lake Chatuge. We lived on Ledford's Chapel Rd almost at the point.

Thanks for saying hi! A buddy of mine and I went on a whirlwind hot dog joint tour recently which of course included Paul's in Burgaw and the Trolly Stop in Wilmington and Wrightsville Beach. Loved them!

Hi Jitzy! Wilson is known for it's 'Cue with Parker's and Bill's being the favorites. My father-in-law has to have Parker's eveytime he visits. I personally prefer Wilbur's in Goldsboro. It is cooked over oak.

Hi Lost in Neverland! We rent a cottage and vacation at Emerald Isle every summer with my wife's family. Is the Coastline band that you like the beach music band?

And all you guys from the east need to stop tallking about BBQ you are making me hungry... we don't have great BBQ in our area like you do...

Hey WilsonFlyer! Great to have a fellow "Wultsonian" here. All of my life I figured I was the only grown-up Disney fan in town.

I think there is larger NC thread but it is hard to get to know folks when you are joining two years into the thread.

I definitely know of the Coastline band. I have spent many a day at Topsail and Emerald Isle.

Both of those places can't be beat around Wilmington. I love the surfer dog at the Trolly Stop and the relish at Paul's Place.

Aaahhh the relish! I'd love to get your opinion...We usually rent a cottage for a week a either Atlantic Beach or Emerald Isle each summer. We were looking into a new local for this upcoming summer. What are your opinions of Topsail vs Carolina Beach vs Cure Beach? We needed a large cottage with a swimming pool which seemed to rule our Wrightsville (no pools from what we can find). Thanks!
