If you sign up for the Party for the Senses they have "VIP seating" for the first concert.

No tickets needed for the concerts - first come, first seated.

Vanessa Carlton was the giveaway that it was last year's schedule - I do not think they'll ever invite her back.

Oh yes I remember everyone lining up in the queue hours before, to get a seat... I refuse to stand in line that long, I guess that means I can listen from outside the venue.

Thanks...

Hours?! Who was playing? We saw Taylor Dayne last year and had our choice of seats only 1/2 an hour before the show...and it was a weekend. Wish the schedule would come out earlier, I would have loved to see Sugar Ray, but we've already made our lodging arrangements at BWV, and there's no way we can change it.

Can anyone tell me about how far in advance they start letting you make reservations for the hard-ticketed events? I just read about this one in this week's AllEars Newsletter:

"Delicious Dessert Discovery will be held every Thursday evening. This will be a dessert reception featuring both "action and prepared stations of sweet enticements" paired with wine, cordials, and coffee, followed by exclusive IllumiNations viewing. Cost will be approximately $50 per person."

I can't wait for food and wine again this year. Are only option is to go the 1st which is Friday or the 2nd Saturday. Right now I have a ADR for Firday and thinking that would be the less busier day?

That sounds good! It also totally fits in with my schedule (seriously, my vacations are not vacations, they are precise military operations)

Like that they have dropped the theme of the week for the PFTS also.

I seem to remember that hard tickets don't go on sale until August.

Great, an Illuminations dessert party. That's really not anything new as far as Disney is concerned. Doesn't sound all that interesting except that it's much less than PFTS and includes wine. If it's all the wine you want, it might be worth it.

Last year, bookings opened on August 11. That said, there's no completely accurate way at this time to know for sure when booking will open in 2010.

You don't need an ADR for food & wine. In fact, if you intend to partake of the food kiosk offerings, I'd suggest that you not have any ADRs or at least have one you can skip without penalty or disappointment. If you have only one day available, I would not go on a Saturday.

Also, for those looking into the festival for the first time, the past couple of years the paid festival events have been nonrefundable. If you're going to book them, be sure about the date and time you book.

The other thing is, this site says capacity is 500, which means they're prolly going to hold it at World Showcase Plaza, where they stuck the Candlelight Processional Dinner Package holders last year. And when we went, it was a zoo!

Interesting site, wonder why they didn't block it to the public. It tells us a few things: Signature Dinners will be back; the Tequila Tasting will be back (meaning we will be kicked out of the Ditch on weekends for awhile - Ditch fans take notice) and there will be Sweet Sundays and the French lunches and a cook/book/bottle type thing again.

What I'd really like to know is the future of Palmhenge and how much the seminars will cost THIS year.

I think it sounds interesting. Especially if we don't stay over a Saturday night and can't do PFTS. We normally leave on Fridays so this would be a nice farewell event.

For the Belgium kiosk, they'll probably have Leffe on tap. It's an InBev owned Belgian brew, and they had it as part of the beer kiosk last year.

I'd like to see something like frites or savory waffles as well. I know both snacks were very popular street foods when I visited Belgium a few years back. They'd be great with a Leffe to wash it down!

Okay, not my imagination. Another site has Belgium, South Korea AND Singapore.

Yum, yum, yum....

Belgium - Mussels, frites with plenty of mayo, that would be heaven.

I have a question, Can the food at the kiosks be purchased with "snacks" from the disney dining plan, I know a couple of years ago you could.....This will be my first time and we will only be able to go the first Friday night or the first saturday? Which do you think would be less crowded?

Last year you could use snack credits, so it'll probably be the same this year. Many of the items, but not all, are available as snacks. There will be a little dining plan logo usually next to the menu item if snack credits can be used. To me, it's one of the best uses for the credits.

As far as Friday vs Saturday ... both nights will probably be packed. Friday may be less crowded, but I would prepare for the worst, and then things will seem great if it's only moderate crowds

I'd love to see Singapore, since DH travels there quite a bit. I wonder if they'd sell the Smart watermelon soda that you can sample in Club Cool, since you can buy it in Singapore. Another good one would be Smart green apple soda that you can buy in Singapore. That soda is almost as good as the watermelon flavor.

Regarding the previous poster who said not everything was available last year...after the first two weeks or so, everything (nonalcoholic) was available for a snack credit. There was one booth (Puerto Rico I think) which had a sign with no DDP logos. They accepted snack credits, but because there were no logos, people thought they didn't. The sign was changed. The Japan booth wouldn't accept snack credits for the Tuna Sensation the first weekend, maybe the first two. After that, they started accepting them.

Whether or not snack credits will be accepted in 2010 won't be known for sure until they either announce or start putting up the signs with the logos.

Both the first Friday night and the first Saturday are going to be crowded.

If it's free at Club Cool I am sure I wouldn't buy any...

Thanks for the advice guys....I will just brave it :) lol!!! And keep my fingers crossed that they let you use the snack credits :))

South Korea? You may not want to board your dog at the WDW kennels during F & W Fest. :scared1:
