Okay all BC experts, I have a question. I just booked our first stay at BC for the first week in May. We always stay deluxe because we can get 3 beds (either bunks or daybeds). My younger daughter has sleeping issues and keeps the older one up ALL night if they are in the same bed. So when I called WDW travel and made our reservations I requested a 2 Queen room with a daybed. My very helpful CM has scared me a bit by saying he would note it but couldn't guarantee it because BC doesn't have many rooms with day beds?!? We booked just a standard view because we aren't in our rooms much. We really want to try BC! We walked around BC last October when my husband and I went on my 40th birthday trip and really liked the feel of it and SAB but now I'm afraid I need to cancel and do another resort!! Can anyone give me some guidance? Room location is not important but we have to have 2 queens and a daybed. It will be a miserable trip without it!! TIA!

Can't help you with the info how many of those rooms there are, Amy. But don't worry too much. If you would find they can not get you a room with a daybed, you could always have roomservice bring a rollaway to the room.

I think you TA was scarring you a big - there are some rooms without a daybed but I hardly think they are the majority! You can put that as your first (and maybe only request. If not they will bring you a rollaway bed if you need it. My mom came with us on our grand gathering and shared a room with her grandsons. Needless to say she need the rollaway bed! They just folded it up during the day and it was out of the way.

I am planning a 14 night stay at the Yacht club my sister and her 3 a 10 night stay at Saragota springs. Would there be a problem if one of my nieces spent the night in my hotel room, I was thinking if they wanted to stay for the extra magic hours with me it would be a bit late to send them back on their own and they could stay with me and meet with the rest in the morning.

Hi there! We are staying at the BC in the very near future. Should we do the online check in? I read somewhere that if you check in online you cannot designate which cards have charging privileges. I was also wondering if we can request a daybed when we check in or if we should do this ahead of time. Thank you so much!

Hi Teena! This is our first time at the BC. Forgive me if I'm stating the obvious, but from these posts I'm guessing you work there? I'd like to check in - in person - but I have no desire to bug the CMs. My only real request is a daybed. (I'd love a balcony and a nice view - but they are not as important as sleeping arrangements.) I'm nervous because one year I requested bunks (at a different resort) and when I asked the CM if the room had bunks she kind of snapped at me and said "that's what you asked for - that's what you get!" It was my only negative exp. with a CM and I realize everyone is entitled to a bad day - but will it annoy the CMs if I request a daybed when I check in? Thanks for taking your time & answering all of our questions! - Rebecca

Make your one and only request on the reservation "two queens and a daybed please". Then when you check-in in person (doesn't matter if you do an on-line check-in or a regular check-in since you still deal with a live CM), just ask them, "Does the room assigned to me have two queens and a daybed?" If they say no, then you can ask if they would please move you to one that does have the two queens and a daybed. They will certainly try to do that but if the resort is full, obviously parties with five people in it will get the 5 sleeper rooms. You then can request a rollaway bed be sent to your room if a room with the daybed is not available. A request is never guaranteed but they certainly try very hard to fill the requests when the room assignor does their job. However, all the rooms that sleep five go to the families with five first.

Hey Teena. Thanks so much for answering all our questions on this forum. Do the 'standard' rooms at BC all have 2 queen beds or do I need to make this a request? TIA

This is simply my estimation and not factual but if I had to give you an estimation, I'd probably guess 95% have two queens - some with daybeds, some without daybeds. However, there are a few rooms with king beds and a very very very few with one queen bed and a daybed. Remember, if you get into a room and it doesn't work for you, all you need to do is calmly come back down to the front desk before using anything (like the bathroom) in the room and just tell us this isn't going to work and can we please change your room. Now, for example, if a party with one adult and let's say a very young son checks into the resort and they get a room with one queen and a daybed and the resort is full, then we won't be able to move them and honestly although they might prefer two queens, we are giving them a room that would fit their needs. Honestly, we try really hard to meet people's requests but sometimes it doesn't happen or it just can't happen.

Hi, deciding between BC or YC, water view. Would looooove to look out over SAB and catch a glimpse of the lagoon. Which hotel has more water view rooms overlooking SAb? YC or BC? Thanks for your help! (ps-I know it won't be guarunteed if I request it, just wondering where I'd have a better chance to request that view):yay:

Hey Paula! No worries. Your niece is okay for extra magic hours anyway because she's staying at Saratoga. I don't think 1 night would be a problem

Hello to the BC veterans....

We stayed at the BC in December and LOVED it. We are planning on going back in May 2011, but this time we are going to be bringing some friends and their 2 children with us. The family is very excited about staying at the BC since my DH and I told them so much about the resort and SAB. The only question I have is, they are only interested in having a Standard View room, however when we were there in December, we had a waterview/lake view room (our room actually looked out over the quiet pool and Crescent Lake WITH a full balcony), after having that view, I don't know if I can go down to a Standard view room...so my question is, could my family book a waterview/lake view room and our friends book a standard room and still be really close to each other? I mean, I know we could not request a connecting room with 2 different room types, but if their room was right down the hall but on the opposite side than where we are, would that be possible? Or are standard room views just as good as waterview rooms....I'm so confused, I could really use some help TIA :goodvibes The only thing that I know that both families want is to be as close to IG as possible.

You could be across from each other. Both of you should request on your reservation to be as close as possible to each other.

50/50 as far as which resort ... make sure you book a waterview though! If you want a guaranteed full balcony, go with the YC (or as I call it, the dark side).

LOL!! I thought about it numerous times lst night and decided I will probably just stick with BC. We have been there a couple of times and really enjoy the light, airy feeling it has. I know we would not get that at YC. (not that there is anything wrong with YC, but truly enjoying the "feel" of a location has a lot to do with why a person may like a particular place. ie-DISNEY--perfect example overall!!)

YOu work in a great place and it sounds like you love your job. You are very lucky!

Can anyone help?
Regarding rooms..... Do any Concierge Level rooms sleep 5 AND offer a water view at either YC or BC?

Not sure about the YC but you cannot book a club level water view 5 sleeper at the BC. You might want to consider one of the deluxe rooms.

Thanks for the reply! :)

I thought the deluxe rooms only allow 4 people, at least that's how it is at the GF. :confused3
